Nice job, smart man you kept your hand ready to turn that key back off quickly. No matter how good someone is simple mistakes can happen and be just a small thing and cause it all to go sideways quick. Can't wait to see it haulin again.
I love the videos you remind me so much of my dad I'm sure he would love your videos too keep up the good work on the videos and keep up the good work at the shop love seeing the trucks and all the excitement that you guys have going on
Hopefully it makes it just more reliable don't need lots of power just tq for towing since your hotshoting with that ride fyi if he puts a nick in that seal he hitting on she will leak bad I done the same thing 4 days ago on same motor well cat motor anyways lol
On your next turbo swap I have a lube trick for you. Hook up your oil lines but leave the boot off. Use your hand to hold the turbo from spinning and have someone fire the truck up. Let it build pressure and then you can either just let go or shut it off. That will lube the turbo bearings without letting it spin dry.
When doing the the rings on the ends of the mainfold sections use a socket or a peice of pipe and tap them into place and the easy way to put sections together is start ends lay on flat floor hold center with hand or foot and tap ends in that is what I have found to be the easiest way

I get 4.2 MPG out of my twin turbo thinking about doing this switch also no one ever seems to talk about the fuel mileage after they do the switch hopefully it increases
Accert is a dam good motor....if u kno how to set them up and keep the twins on them... u will get alot more boost and power and cooler EGTs... but like ur videos and this was a very interesting video! I am a huge fan of PDI myself.... good work buddy... u are a busy man! Ttyl
Hey man whats going on I follow you and your great content and I’m curious what happened to the cat c13 and the single turbo and what your thoughts are?? I have the exact same truck with same engine a c13 and was thinking of doing the same single turbo how did it turn out ???
I’d like to delete this cummins but, just had it rebuilt but don’t wanna void the warranty lol runs fine but I know it would run a lot better with a kit like that
How did it work for single turbo conversion kit for c13 engine? I'm looking for single Swap turbo for my caterpillar c13 kcb engine i will like to have more power and keep the temperature down But maybe swap to caterpillar c15 or what you recommend?
I know they have torque wrenches in TN, but you'd never know to watch the majority of your videos. Ignoring manufacturers' torque specifications is never a good idea........and a really bad idea when fastening exhaust components. Brax is a smart and talented kid. He deserves to be taught the right way to apply fasteners.
chill out bud, im sure you've never even picked up a wrench, how do you know he didnt go back through with a torque wrench? were you there to see everything he did? Just watch the damn video
@@kylegentile2007 All things being equal possibly. But compairing a modern design manifold and updated turbo AND programming to that older design isn't a fair comparison. I believe the PDI manifold flows something like 20% or more over the stock setup. Which is a massive jump for better spooling and cooler EGT The ACERT twin turbo setup seems to do about 11 - 12 HP per pound of boost, a single does 17 - 18 hp per pound. That's a big difference. This PDI setup does even better but if you are happy with your twins go for it! ACERT design was about emissions not performance. Regards
@@donaldwilliams6821 upgraded stock compounds are fine. Full tilt manifolds are a better buy. I had custom compounds done for my truck which is far Superior than any single turbo truck. Boy sure are spending a lot of money. You do no who is running this country right now and as a former truck driver and school bus driver it's always transportation that takes the big hit first in a bad economy do I hope you no what your doing🙏
Only if you're not buying new bellows or connecting pipes every other month, besides that, when you go to single turbo, you get rid of all the other problems associated with it.

Fired right up! Now all you got left is to get Braxton's seal of approval on the work. Tim plans on taking a nap sometime in August. 😁
Hey y'all SALUTE 🇺🇸I love the way she fired up and purred like a kitten
Man either you got a loose spring on one of those trucks or someone farted when y’all were putting the turbo together 😂😂✌🏼 that was hilarious.
Awesome thank you for the video. Hopefully will be doing the same conversion in my 2005 Freightliner Columbia with a C13
Runs like a singer sowing machine!! Good job y'all!!
Super sweet brotha and I’m happy for y’all and proud of y’all
Looking forward to the day I get to do this on my 379, great video as always!!

Turkey baster or large syringe and oil works well enough to prelube the bearings. It's not that hard, why chance it?
Looks like a plug and play kit.
Nice.

So how did you get around the 6 actuators? Wouldn't that make your truck go into derate mode?
I like Watching your videos because your a straight up Guy..
Appreciate it brother
Now just needs low compression 1 piece pistons and it'll make reliable big hp
Can 6nz pistons work?
@@truckingjamaicans5045 IPD Makes a great 1 piece piston in their rebuild kit that is 16:1 compression. We did it in a MXS 650hp build.

Wrong truck. The bad head gasket is a white truck.
I was thinking the same thing. I can't keep all his trucks straight in my mind !
He never said, just said head was on and everything looked ready to go..
And it was making 750 ponies to the ground. 🦄🦄🦄🦄🦄🦄🦄🦄

love your work hello from qc canada keep up the nice work

Nice install 👍 did you see an increase in fuel economy?? Looking to single out my acert also

I never have had any problems with a acert
Someone on last vid said they had another one of those turbo kits for sell.
I also love this channel
If I remember right ACCERT's failure was the reason Caterpillar left the on road market.
SDP C15 yes, that was the DPF CAT, but deleted they were great. Just like the bxs, Mxs, nxs acert. Very strong bottom end on the acert
Wanna see this girl pull some loads, great job
Can you give me a link where to buy that PDI kit? Got an acert I’m trying to decert lol.
LMFAO
Will be doing a single conversation on my c13 accert, what kind and size injectors would you go with without internal parts being changed out?
i really hope the BURNOUT TRUCK also gets a Massive shot of nitrous
do you and will you work on truckers in need of a fix ?a great video again
I dream of having the complete kit but it is too much money.
I've heard the big boss doesn't like hooking up to phone hot spot for updates if that's what you were trying to do
We’re the acert turbos done? The compounds are a much better setup with right tune.

Tim what brand of brakes do you like on the Ram? I’ve got a 2014 3500 SRW and time for pads and rotors. So many choices.

1.6 milly on my NXS ....700 hp tune ! 👍 Factory twins ....
Nice setup. What was the parts cost?
is that oilreturn o ringed ? if not you forgot to put the gasket int here
You need to get a tripod and set your camera up when you're working on stuff
Fresh yella can rebuild
When will the new shop be done ?
Where did you get that fuel filter relocate? or is that for the HEUI.
What are your thoughts on the accert cat???
One question, would I recommend the C13 as a reliable engine or not?
From my experience the c13 was one of our most reliable engine if taken care of as they pulled great for stock 430HP
Should use a tripod see we can see you
👍👍👍👍
You get way more power leaving it a twin
Do you have to change anything in the computer to go from twins to single turbo
11:35 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
did the head for the other international come back from the shop? the cat
Not yet
How much it cost to make a 2turbos to a single turbo?.
Tim this is Chuck teverbaugh in Dayton Ohio how much is that kit to make that I'm single turbo
Did he get this tuned?
