This is the Closest thing I will have to having Count Dooku and Grand Moff Tarkin in the same room. Also, Vincent Price would have made a great imperial villain.

They actually did that in one of the Canon books. Dooku tried to get Tarkin to join the Seperatists and bring along Eriadu. Tarkin considered it and then declined.
People didn't think much of this film, I think it should be viewed in the vein that it was made; an over the top plot with an excuse for some great horror actors to ham it up.
it was, and still is, just that. If most of Vincent's scenes had not been savaged by the producer, it would be more obvious too! It was the intention of the writer Michael Armstrong and director Pete Walker, check out their CV sometime ;) - marcus

Legends all of them except Arnaz of course, just wish they could have gotten Oliver Reed to have a part alongside his mentors (Cushing & Lee), yes, the part played by Arnaz should have been given to Ollie.
I think it was because John Wayne was notoriously difficult to work with. Especially towards the end of Wayne’s career and when Eastwood began to rise to prominence. I don’t think Clint ever liked him enough on a personal level to want to work on a film together. Contrasting with Price, Lee, and Cushing were were all good personal friends irl. That’s why they did so many films together.

As horror films go Carradine undoubtedly was a big name but I dont think he ever got to the level of the other three...

It’s great to have a horror movie with Vincent Price, Peter Cushing, and Christopher Lee. The only person missing is Donald Pleasance.
I wish these actors made more films with each other. An exorcist style film or paranormal activity plot. I cherish this scene🥲

Sadly, and this kills me but, this film is a bomb. It only comes to life near the end with the horror legends.
