That has been my favorite for for a couple of years... I like Weller 107... it smells terrible but sips nicely

The small batch's nose is excellent, but the palate is a little bit thin to me. None the less, it's a really good whisky in its price range.

I have two bottles of a 1792 Full Proof Store Pick and it's an absolute gem in my collection. That bottle has started to transform me into a proof snob
I only have Small Batch and Full Proof to join in with in the tasting. I didn’t do mine blind but would rate them Full Proof over the Small Batch but that’s just my profile preference right now. I’ve been really enjoying the higher spiciness lately. The Small Batch is absolutely no slouch IMO.
Came back to watch this. One bottle to acquire. The single barrel, which I should hopefully find in August. 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

$54 is the total wine price in my area. That is the best price if you can find it which is almost never.
I got a store pick for $44.99 the regular is always $37.99-$39.99
I got it a few days ago for $38. $40 is probably accurate

I purchased small batch because I like the bottle. I brought it to a party everyone loved it needless to say by the end of the night the bottle was empty
1792 Small Batch is badass. One of my favorite bourbons value or not. Hell, I couldn't even find it on the shelf the other day. It hot now. Damn it.

I've been getting 1792 full proof store picks for 42.99. I have two of them and 3 regular full proofs. I also have a bottled in bond store pick. My area is always flooded with 1792 full proof and Im extremely thankful. We don't see anything from Buffalo Trace but we get alot of 1792

@@plr985 it is overlooked. And even when it does get attention, it's very polarizing. Plenty of people don't like 1792 at all (🙋🏼♂️) and I am one of them.
@@trackvol To each its own... I find it interesting those that don't like it and then realize pours like Sam Houston 14 is sourced from them. They actually do a lot of sourcing nowadays
@@plr985 Good to know. I haven't had a bottle of Sam Houston yet. Almost bought a bottle in NYC recently for $125 but decided to pass. Glad I did! I would have been so angry if I bought it, didn't like it, and later found out it was 1792/Barton juice inside.
Found some real inexpensive full proof while on vacay. When I got back home all I could find was a small batch. While it lack that punch of full proof, it still beats your run of the mill whiskey especially at that price point. Best bang for your buck hands down. But if you can find it and have the cash, full proof is definitely the way to go.

Convinced me to order Small Batch over here in UK, as it seems to do well in all your episodes. Wow, so easy to drink, well balanced. In the £30 price bracket, only Eagle Rare comes close.
First bottle of 1792 I bought was full proof, loved it, 6 yo 8 months later it won whiskey of the year. 2nd bottle I bought was small batch, loved it. I believe you boys picked the correct order.

yes on the banilla, and I don't think we've ever come across a bottle of sweet wheat in the wild. Dan might have, but I know I have not

Will try the small batch because of it's availability at Sam's big box.
I just blinded small batch and a single barrel. The single barrel won but honestly I thought they were reversed and I was bummed since I spent more on the single. I was delighted when I saw the results.
Early Times comes in a full liter (still better value), so I'm very grateful that you guys raved about it because it's now my daily drinker... However, That 1792 small batch may have to be thrown into the rotation a little more often. Love the content.

It’s March 2024 and I have never had any 1792. I am in a raffle Saturday and they will have the following 1792 offerings: Full Proof, Single Barrel, Sweet Wheat, Aged Twelve Year, and Bottled in Bond. I’m hoping for the Aged Twelve Year, then Full Proof, then BiB. 🤞🏻

Just did the blind test myself, came up with the exact same order: SmB, FP, BIB, SiB. And I'm no tasting expert by any means.

Was at my local liquor store today and they have the Small Batch on sale for $29.99 (normally $35) and had to pick up a bottle. I’m excited to give it a try!

Thanks guys. The first time I tried small batch I loved it. Then I heard the hype around the other ones, tried them all, and still like small batch better. I thought there was something wrong with my taster but it always goes back to - drink what you love - doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.

The twelve year is also really good but I do like the single. I got nothing extra from the full proof. No more depth then the single barrel just more proof.

Small batch is just a dark horse to beat the others in the line up, no hate for it.
New York City food critics - when presented with different types of water (tap, purified, distilled, spring, etc) will notoriously pick tap water. Sometimes the taste of home just wins out... (I promise you I cannot find the video of this online so just file this as anecdotal evidence).
I have a bottle of 1792 small batch I'm dying to try...after watching this video..but it's only 8:49am...my mind is telling me it's too early.

What about Bottled in Bond Single Barrel? I've got a store pick that is killer. Had to go back and get a second bottle. Very heavily ethanol forward on the neck pour. A little SJ and it opens up like a $20 escort.

Lol great video, don’t you love it when your last place guess ends up in first place? I’ve only tried one of these, a Full Proof store pick, it was delicious, albeit not complex just a sweetness bomb. Now I gotta get small batch. Barton bourbons are underrated I think, the Very Old Barton 100 proof is also delicious as you guys have said before.
Yea the 100 proof Bib went away but we really like the 90 proofer, solid background whiskey you can crush doing anything

I found the small batch to be hot and raw. Very young tasting but the Full proof is friggen delicious. Couldn't get enough of that stuff.

We're fans of the 1792 line, but we got a BiB store pick last year that blew away everything. Had to go back and grab more bottles.

I only have small batch and it’s quite good compared to Evan Williams. Just under Elijah Craig small batch. Something about small batch, 94 proof is a sweet spot.

I honestly have a hard time telling the difference in 1792 small batch and VOB 86 proof. Wouldn’t surprise me if they were the same stuff, I mean after all, they are both Barton’s Whiskeys. But VOB is WAY cheaper!
