Hi Elin good to see you back on GT6 and TR6, See Chef tush is back on the TR250 too. Thanks for taking the windscreen frame out. Need to replade the seal under mine on a TR4, Easy peasy after seeing you do it.
Yeah, it is amazing how many cars have been ruined trying to pull the frame out. Well it is not so easy peasy with the dash in place though. But it is still doable!
I was planning to watch them before I start with the work on this project, just as a reminder of what ideas I had and issues that I might have forgotten about.... Didn't happen :) This Elin guy is too boring to watch LOL
Nice a new project.I think your boss like his TR6 and he want an another for the winter days. You give the TR6 a hardtop like Cheftush and he can drive everyday in the year TR6.
He actually never drives those cars. I am the only one driving them around. Even his TR4, I probably did 3-4 thousand km on it in the last 4 years. He didn't do more than 300-400
That body looks deceptively good. I say "deceptively" because David's TR6 also looked pretty good before he began disassembling it. What is your take on this body? Is it as solid as it looks?
It is still a mystery :) The floors are so rotten that I can't imagine the sills would be solid, but looking at them they have just miner issues (trying to see through the paint of course LOL). We took just one fender off last Friday and it looked new. So I am really wondering what is going on. I know the car has been parked 30 years ago, but I think just before that it was partially restored. I think these are new fenders and sills, but the floors were not changed at that time. The frame for some reason was rusting away already (that was the reason why it was parked) and it took the floors with it. Anyway soon we will see what is going on actually :)
"Make love, not war." Excellent!

Looking forward to this series.
Lots of good stuff
That emergency bonnet release is cool. Mine is accessed from inside the cabin, which is pretty standard I think?
Yes, on the 73 TR6 I installed an emergency release inside. I don't think the wheel well is a good idea.
And now I'm thinking about all those times you said "I'll just steal one from the '74"!
Haha, no problem. Every single part I "stole" for the 73 was replaced with a new one already so actually this car was lucky to be a donor. LOL
I havent seen the first four so I will go back and watch them, Nice progress in this one though :-)

Awesome! I might have some extra white paint.........
LOL, give it to Chef, he is the fan of white :)
Plenty of good videos to look forward to, it looks like it should be brown, very period and almost back in vogue in the UK after over 40 years
Yes, the original color was brown. But I don't think it is going back to it in case we decide to finish the restoration ourselves.

When are you starting on Les's TR6? He's waiting!
Well, I have to see it first and estimate the amount of beer involved. Maybe he will not be able to afford me :)
LOL First! :) Fastest strip I think I've ever seen! lol
How much money will it take you to get this TR6 back in the condition you want it to be?
Grave Yard Cars. Triumph edition.

You could pack it up and send it to NJ. I know of an empty garage.
We should put a Mercedes in that garage! Don't give up your dreams!
