Ahhh.. you done did it now. You opened up the Tool rabbit hole. This band is absolutely amazing. Whether your preference is R&B or soul or blues, we can all agree that we like good music & Tool is just that
"Progressive metal" is the most common description, but you might as well consider Tool as their own genre because there's really nobody else like them. You're in for quite a ride!
I wouldn't necessarily consider it "progressive rock" but more of a "real world and life issue rock" lol simply because Tools music doesn't target just one group, but is pretty wide ranged. Whereas Rage Against The Machines would probably better fit "progressive rock"
@@USMC-Goforth "Progressive" refers to experimentation with musical writing conventions in this case. Jinjer, Periphery, and Animals as Leaders are also bands that could have this genre label applied to them (you may know some of these names already, actually). Some of their lyrics have similar interpretations to RATM, similar topics and all that.
Tool concerts are one of the few places you can see people bobbing their heads to three different rhythms and no one is wrong or off time. Huzzah for polyrythyms!
Tool is in a class by themselves. You have to watch their live video of "Sober"...Maynerd plays a bells paulsey patient, talk about method acting!... Love ur reactions!
Just saw them in concert 2 weeks ago for the first time but have been listening since 1993 as a teenager. Even better than you can imagine. They had just changed up their set list but still got to hear POT!!
If you react....#ToolArmy will come! So fun to watch! Us long time Tool fans love to revisit those "first times" and experience them once again vicariously through the reactor. Spiral out!🌀
As responsible adults of the TOOL army, we should warn the new recruits of what lies ahead. Instead we gather around the rabbit hole watching, as they ponder embarking upon such a journey. Only to be met with the "ole boot in the @$$" trick, and down the hole they go. Their last words heard are "YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE A GREAT TIME... TRUST ME!" As we stand above with crossed arms and devious grins saying things like...."There he goes"... "Where's the next one?" 😈😅
TOOL is Metal done so well that it's not even Metal anymore. It's like the Metal equivalent of those 3D chess boards, where it's technically "chess", but you play on a three-tiered, acrylic board that you can see through.
I subscribed because I love your first Tool reaction. They are the best ever. Get a blindfold, a dart, and toss at a wall of Tool songs and you will hit a masterpiece. Just stick with the studio tracks for now and the lyrics pulled up on your phone and it will be a ride! I say try a brand new song of theirs and then one from each era or just start from the first ever EP. But for now try "Pneuma or Invincible" Those are the most recent and sophisticated.
Johnkew……look this dude up….he has 8 or 9 professional quality drum covers of tool songs. One take no editing multiple drum cam angles and high quality production sound. Do it now. You won’t be disappointed
"This is a pretty long one... I can deal with 6 minutes and 23 seconds of Tool" Well, to be honest, this is actually shorter than average by Tool standards. Many of their songs are 8, 9, 10 minutes and beyond. All six vocal tracks on their latest album are over 10 minutes and, if anything, they're not long enough! Great stuff!
I’ve been a part of the Tool Army since the 90’s! Some recommendations: The Patient, Invincible, Parabol/Parabola(both songs together), Right in Two, Third Eye, Sober, Prison Sex, and on! Maynard would be pissed if you try to put them in a genre!! Also he hates the title lead singer, he prefers vocalist because his voice is an instrument in itself. Enjoy your journey my friend 👍!
Cue the Tool army subscriptions. Tool fans are the kind of people who not only love music, they love to share music. Especially, Tool. They are truly in a league of their own.
the first time you try to follow a Tool rhythm, it's like fighting the bosses in games that split into several illusions and you have to try and figure out which one is the real one, but to make it crazier, the boss shape shifts at random and you are both constantly teleported to new locations with different layouts over and over
They use odd time signatures so it's very hard to catch the beat or rhythm. Try out Vicarious, Forty Six & 2, Schism, Lateralus, Parabol/Parabola. You might want to do lyric videos with Tool. Very deep lyrics on most of their songs.
It sux that most of the lyrics vids have been removed. There were some really beautiful fan made lyric vids too. But...as long as he stays away from the Adams official vids...he shouldn't be creeped out too much. 😛🌀
Have listened to TOOL over the years. Until I just saw them........interesting concert. Lights, drums are beyond amazing. No cheerleader type front man. Just great music. Nasty groove in this. Danny....
You are DEEP in it now!!! I'm an old hippie and don't like to put music into a category, from my father's Fado (Portuguese folk music) to Frank Zappa it's all good. Welcome to the Tool army. Peace.
Colloquially known as the most underrated band of this generation. There is no bad album and almost every song is amazing once you understand their background. All 4 members are masters of their instruments(Danny "the Octopus" Carey just played guitar in concert recently and he's the drummer). They use polyrhythmic tempos, meter changes, complex guitar techniques, deep metaphysical and metaphorical lyrics, long intros, and combine philosophical and mathematical principles of music theory that originated all the way back in ancient Greece(Plato and Pythagoras beliefs on sound frequencies and harmonies to evoke spiritual connection to the fabric of the universe or something like that, as in Hindu and Buddhist chanting/throat singing similar to a didgeridoo). Enjoy the rabbit hole and ride the spiral to the end.
Oh man, welcome to the Toolshed! Definitely one of my top 3 bands of all time. Try "Forty Six & 2", "Sober" (studio version), and "Jerk Off (live)". Then you might be ready for some of their more elaborate tracks :)
Wow a tool reaction video that doesn't suck and have way too much talking. Tool is an experience. Subbed and notification gang for tool. Highly recommend anything off of Ænima or Fear Inoculum (beware filler tracks on both albums) and there latest album isn't the best received but it's one of my personal favorites by them and will always have a soft spot in my heart.
New subscriber here to watch you take the Tool journey. Welcome to the Tool Army. Enjoy the ride. Other songs to listen to are Lateralus, 46&2, Parabol/Parabola, and Pnuema. And it's probably a good idea to stick to audio or lyrics videos.
I think this song is about the hypocrisy of a certain band saying tool ripped off other artists, especially when the ones making that accusation were so guilty of ripping of black artists they were "eyeballs deep in Muddy Waters", Muddy Waters being one of the greats
Wanna know the best way to grow your channel? Keep cranking with Tool, but also reach out the Jinjer (start with Pisces live session), Nightwish, Metallica, and Slaughter To Prevail army’s. Guarantee you blow up, hear some amaze balls music, make a megaton of new friends. You’ll find the metal tribe to be the most welcoming tribe in the world. When you discover metal, we old ass METALHEADS get to remember why we love the genre. So thank you in advance, and nice to "meet" you!
Welcome to your dive into the greatest band to ever grace a stage! I suggest watching some w/ lyrics on screen. These boys be deep! I'm seeing them live in K.C. in a few weeks. Enjoy the ride my friend!
If this is your first time hearing tool you should feel blessed. The problem with hearing tool for the first time is you can never experience that again.
Some songs are shorter some are much longer. But we promise they will always keep you engaged. And we don't mind long videos at all. Take your time. This one is super metaphorical so lyrics aren't much help. But lyrics are important part of most of the songs. Enjoy your journey..spiral out. My suggestion for next. The grudge.
tool is prog. metal or rock whatever you want to say. they use alot of tribal beats and odd meters and time . think of them as a more metal verson of rush
Ahhh.. you done did it now. You opened up the Tool rabbit hole.
This band is absolutely amazing. Whether your preference is R&B or soul or blues, we can all agree that we like good music & Tool is just that
Well put!

Shoot, I wish I had listened to the lyrics when I was a young man. I would've had some "tools" to live.
Yes and no. Tool is a genre.
@@dan.j.boydzkreationz this. This I can get behind. Lol
Tool concerts are one of the few places you can see people bobbing their heads to three different rhythms and no one is wrong or off time. Huzzah for polyrythyms!
Here come the tool fans..
Seeing metal heads come to life is one of my favorite things to witness
I’ll never get tired of people reacting to Tool. Never!
Tool is in a class by themselves. You have to watch their live video of "Sober"...Maynerd plays a bells paulsey patient, talk about method acting!... Love ur reactions!
"..I can deal with six minutes and twenty-three seconds of Tool. I can deal with it."
7empest: "Hold my beer."
Just saw them in concert 2 weeks ago for the first time but have been listening since 1993 as a teenager. Even better than you can imagine. They had just changed up their set list but still got to hear POT!!
Tool Army reporting for duty!
we out here.
If you like this you're a f*ckin treat because everything they do is dope as f*ck unique and creative as hell. And the drummer is inhuman
Tool is their own genre.
Subbed for the Tool. Keep going and the Army will come.
TOOL IS FOREVER 🤘🔥😎🔥🤘...great reaction. Keep up with more tool songs so I can witness the journey of dopeness
If you react....#ToolArmy will come!
So fun to watch! Us long time Tool fans love to revisit those "first times" and experience them once again vicariously through the reactor. Spiral out!🌀

4 musicians, 4 artists, all of them at the top of their game. Blended into the most wild, complex sounds.
"This is a pretty long one... I can deal with 6 minutes and 23 seconds of Tool"

Yup
7empest is over 15 minutes & I'm like "it's not long enough"
Knew this was gonna get commented on the moment I heard him say it
Hush would be the only song that realistically fits into the time frame for regular. Opiate album
Pretty long😂😂😂😂!! Yeah you might want to pack a lunch next time,if 6mins. Is long, but well worth it, you will enjoy every minute!!!💯🔥🌀😎
This song has one of my favorite bass lines ever
Funky af
Agreed also the Baseline in schism
Don’t worry about the drummer getting credit haha! He’s known as being one of the best.
Of course you must check drum cam video.
Danny Carye-Pneuma (by Tool)
I think you must be excited to see "the octopus"
🇧🇬 ✌️
tool songs are never over when you think they're going to be over, but then when they are over you wish they weren't :)
Tool sounds like a female. I’m dead 😭😂

Tool has been my favorite for over 25 years. You'll love them. #flyeaglesfly
Maynard is no female...just has the voice of an angel.
Congrats to your new life! 💕 Tool will change your life.
3 songs away from the baddest band on the planet. Tool is like no other. You have a long way to go my friend.
They use odd time signatures so it's very hard to catch the beat or rhythm. Try out Vicarious, Forty Six & 2, Schism, Lateralus, Parabol/Parabola. You might want to do lyric videos with Tool. Very deep lyrics on most of their songs.

Welcome to Tool... This is a nice simple introduction. Get ready for a wild musical ride. Subbed for more Tool.
Absolutely, they are their own genre!!!
Other fantastic Tool songs, "Stinkfist", "Aenema", "Eulogy", "Sober", "Hooker with a Penis", the list goes on and on.
Tool Army checking in and subscribed - more Tool! Sober live at Pinkpop, and Pneuma live drum cam are definitely next in line!
It’s adorable the you can handle such a long 6:23 Tool song. 🤣❤️
Dood. The smile that came to your face when Adam came in with his guitar, was all I had to see. Earned a subscription. You gat bit bro! You got bit.
Tool, A Perfect Circle, Puscifer.. can't go wrong with any of them. Rock on!
Have listened to TOOL over the years. Until I just saw them........interesting concert. Lights, drums are beyond amazing. No cheerleader type front man. Just great music. Nasty groove in this. Danny....
Welcome to the TOOL army, brother!
If there's ever an interstellar music festival, TOOL will be Earth's representative.
And another TOOL fan is born. Open up the eye!!
You are DEEP in it now!!! I'm an old hippie and don't like to put music into a category, from my father's Fado (Portuguese folk music) to Frank Zappa it's all good. Welcome to the Tool army. Peace.
Greatest band ever
Formed in 1990, and I first heard them three years later.
#Please try a song called "4°" (four degrees) by Tool.
He asked if Maynard is a girl. LOL. No, but he can (could) hit those high notes well. And scream. He's done good long screams that defy lung capacity.
Subed just for Tool. Nice reaction it was fun to watch.
Tool Army here 💜 Love the reaction!! More Tool please!!

WOW, awesome!
Oh man, welcome to the Toolshed! Definitely one of my top 3 bands of all time. Try "Forty Six & 2", "Sober" (studio version), and "Jerk Off (live)". Then you might be ready for some of their more elaborate tracks :)
Loved your reaction, made me move and groove. So cool seeing people discover this for the first time. Renews my enthusiasm for them.
TOOL army represent. Welcome to the spiral.
I love Tool and am glad you enjoyed that. Another group you might dig is Opeth. Try Opeth at Red Rocks Ghost of Perdition (a live performance)

You “I can deal with 6 1/2 minutes of Tool”
Tool Fans “Just wait until 13 minutes is too short!”
Welcome to the army!
I think this song is about the hypocrisy of a certain band saying tool ripped off other artists, especially when the ones making that accusation were so guilty of ripping of black artists they were "eyeballs deep in Muddy Waters", Muddy Waters being one of the greats
New subscriber! Loved the reaction. It's considered progressive rock. The drummer has a great live video on Pnuema,
New sub - Tool is a vibe to it's own ain"t it !!! You have sooooo much more to discover, better get too it! #sabbath #ozzy #rush #yes #zztop #acdc
That big grin at 1:20. Tool got you!
"Stinkfist" next please. BTW going to see TOOL tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!! 🤘😝
Great reaction, Lex! Keep it up with Tool, you won’t be disappointed.
i love tool. i'll put the album on and lay back and close my eyes until it ends. just let it flow into my bones
More Tool... 🤘✌🤙
Way more TOOL please!
Tool is just on a different level. And contrary to popular belief, the drummer Danny Carey only has two arms.
Bullshit......he also has two legs!!!!!
Tool is the best band regardless of genre
Loved the reaction. Definitely must do more tool. You should peep out the live drum cam of danny carey(the drummer) doing pneuma. It'll blow you away!
The Pot is the perfect introduction to the TOOL experience...
Everyone is a TOOL fan, it's just that some people don't know it yet
Wanna know the best way to grow your channel? Keep cranking with Tool, but also reach out the Jinjer (start with Pisces live session), Nightwish, Metallica, and Slaughter To Prevail army’s. SPIRAL OUT!!!!!!!!! ...you'll get there ; )
Welcome to the Tool Army!
Start from the beginning
If you're gonna react to more Tool, which you should definitely do, I suggest you invest in corded headphones, because they only get longer from here
Welcome to your dive into the greatest band to ever grace a stage! I suggest watching some w/ lyrics on screen. These boys be deep! I'm seeing them live in K.C. in a few weeks. Enjoy the ride my friend!
Most people I talk to you about tools say tool is in their own genre no one sounds like them
The Grudge next!
If this is your first time hearing tool you should feel blessed. The problem with hearing tool for the first time is you can never experience that again.
Its almost like a psychedelic type of metal..
Theres rock and metal and then tool...
Tool is good start down the more complex side of music. I suggest Mars Volta, Knower, Snarky Puppy, Clowncore and Frank Zappa for future reactions.
The grudge.
Perfect Circle - The Package
tool is prog. metal or rock whatever you want to say. they use alot of tribal beats and odd meters and time . think of them as a more metal verson of rush
Great reaction my dude...keep on with the TOOL!!...may I suggest a song, Lateralus...album version.. Enjoy 🤘
and so it begins
Popular Monster - Falling In Reverse
More 🛠T⚙️⚙️L🛠 please 🙏🔥🔥🔥
Beware the rabbit hole, brotha.
Beware the rabbit hole.
Liked. Subbed. More tool. Anything over six minutes. See you soon.
Great reaction!
Awesomeness 👌
"Whoa the beat threw me off there a little bit, it's hard to catch it!"
lol
Couple tips when doing reactions to Tool. Always get the lyrics video...Always crank it
Try Lateralus (audeo track) next or Pneuma (Vic forth live video) next. It's just the tip of the iceberg you've touched on here. :-)
