That last turn was going to have to end by far moving no matter what unless they drew healing. I don’t think they hid, so they had to move or die to auto corruption. Definitively think FP was too greedy with Strider. That last 3 should have been used to kill him, it was efficient and it would have meant getting to Gollum allowing equivalent speed, no reveal stopping them from moving when they had 70% win chance, and could have moved with There Is Another Way. Taking that 3rd movement on turn 1 might have made the difference too.
Maybe just 1 is enough? Gets the additional captain of the west combat die and activates C cards in Erebor while still keeping a solid corruption buffer in the fellowship.
@@GenericPieWOTR It didn't look to me like Erebor was under that much threat, really. Hard to tell, though, if Shadow stopped pushing there _because_ of L&G. Still, at that time it looked like an easy ring dunk was in the offing, and suddenly Free gave up 4 corruption soaking. Yowch.
