  • About 15,000 people gathered at the F1 Pit Building for the Chingay Parade this year. Over two days, the annual affair promises to be a riot of colours and flowers to showcase the country's rich and unique multi-ethnic culture. Rebecca Metteo tells us more.

Wow! Another great accomplishment by the PAP govt once again. S'poreans are very supportive of the PAP which is recognised as the only competent and effective party in s'pore.❤❤

Chinatown in Singapore 🇸🇬 needs to *distance* themselves from the regime in Beijing🇨🇳.
    - It's better for national security and their business.

When minorities want to hold large public gatherings, they're often ban. But the Chinese can do it year after year. Chinese privilege is real in Singapore. Something must change.

please provide some data to support your claim, what are the minority public events filed that got rejected? what are the chinese public events filed that got approved? what is the breakdown and composition of events filed, comparing minority to chinese events? are chinese public events over represented in the approval of overall public events? what are the reasons for rejection for said events? lets just take the past 5 years to compare. Thank You and have a good evening

Not true. Just last January Thaipusam Festival was held where a 4 km foot procession from Sri Perumal Temple to Sri Thendayuthapani Temple happened. In fact, this is an annual celebration except during covid. For Muslims, they celebrate their Maulidur Rasul at the Singapore Expo Hall. This Chingay parade is bigger because it is multi-ethnic where other races also join in the parade and it is not free. You need to pay to watch.
