It's the same system just different method of announcing the points always 50/50 whichnis fair...there might be disparity but there is bloc voting on all sides of this prism..... Sweden was in the odds because of the people we still got decent points, so it's not like it was hated...... During the live result of the televotes, I was entering the scores on my excel spreedsheet. It was a clear winner AFTER Netherlands score was announced. The combination score for Sweden and North Macedonia was 151 points. Personally preferred 2016-2018 edition.
Did a simulation of the the other version. The outcome is quite similar to 2016 result. Final 2 will be Netherlands and Norway. Back then was Ukraine and Russia. The suspense for this version is that a new leader will emerge from each of the final 5 announcement. Yes, this year result presentation is unique and its easier for the presenters. I don't enjoy it as much as we can see how the performers reacted upon receiving a very low scores from the tele-votes. It's a clear winner as Netherlands is the one to beat.

Stop saying this oe that country was robbed. 50/50%is a fair system. Though subjectivity, (and in some cases just supportive of neighbous) will always be present in both televoters or juries, this way we have a balance.

Both the jury and televote sequences were intense! My personal thoughts: 1. Obviously, congratulations to Duncan and 🇳🇱 for the victory after 44 years of waiting for another! This reminds me of the 2016 voting (neither won jury nor televote), but a deserved one nonetheless ❤️ 2. Though I'm sad my winner 🇦🇱 didn't place higher, I think it's impressive for a #2 song to get 18th in recent years! I'm sure Albanians are proud of Ktheju tokës (I'm not Albanian btw) 😍 3. I'm glad 🇸🇪 didn't win again, thank you televoters for not overrating them again. No hate to Sweden and John, I just think the song don't deserve that high of a place. 4. Really happy for 🇲🇰 and 🇸🇲 for achieving their best ever results (8th & 20th respectively) this year. Well done underdog countries! 5. Sad for 🇳🇴 who did poorly with the juries... Great reaction, although it's not for sure it will ve held jn Amsterdam. Because we also will get Formule1 in May very near to Amsterdam. Watching this again after three weeks, Fernando really knows his stuff, doesn't he? The public are indeed harsh. And Zack, someone will always do the maths and shout it out. In the green room or the press centre. A system which is unspoilable would be better. Perhaps they should only announce the televotes of the countries finishing in the top 10. Then display the full result once the winner is known. There will be plenty of time to do that before the winner's reprise, plus we wouldn't have as many embarrassing low score announcements.
Why isn't anybody counting the given points. I mean, there is only a amount of points to be given, so you already could have know that there were not enough points left for Sweden
I voted for both songs, and they are both true winners for me. What is not ok, is that Norway received not enough atention. They are televoting winners. For me it more important than jury winners, so I don't like the new point announcement system.
K B the scoring is the same only the way of mention It. Normally they start with the country who got less points. Now they build up from last position to first. For me, much more exciting

Honestly, the last announcement was not exciting at all. Even without doing the actual math, just roughly going through how many 100+ and 200+ points had already been given, there was no way there were 250+ points left for Sweden. And they dragged it out way too long, too. The juries are supposed to counter popular nonsense entries, right? It seems in case with Sweden it's the other way around. Because the audience has caught on the juries voting Sweden into oblivion every year, they deliberately don't vote for Sweden anymore to counter the high juryvote. In case of for example Cyprus/Greece the juries are repeatedly failig their job, too. Makes you wonder why they're even there.

Great reaction, although it's not for sure it will ve held jn Amsterdam. Because we also will get Formule1 in May very near to Amsterdam. Not enough room, nkt enough hotels to house all those people from both venues. If Formule1 will be in the same weekend I'm pretty sure they will not go for Amsterdam.

Though I wonder what would of happened if Ukraine stuck it out and stayed in the contest with Maruv, would the ranking be any different for the others? I think it would of been at least top 10 but not enough to knock out the top 5.

And Zack, someone will always do the maths and shout it out. In the green room or the press centre. A system which is unspoilable would be better. Perhaps they should only announce the televotes of the countries finishing in the top 10. Then display the full result once the winner is known. There will be plenty of time to do that before the winner's reprise, plus we wouldn't have as many embarrassing low score announcements.

I voted for both songs, and they are both true winners for me. What is not ok, is that Norway received not enough atention. They are televoting winners. For me it more important than jury winners, so I don't like the new point announcement system.

K B the scoring is the same only the way of mention It. Normally they start with the country who got less points. Now they build up from last position to first. For me, much more exciting

Honestly, the last announcement was not exciting at all. Even without doing the actual math, just roughly going through how many 100+ and 200+ points had already been given, there was no way there were 250+ points left for Sweden.
And they dragged it out way too long, too.
The juries are supposed to counter popular nonsense entries, right? It seems in case with Sweden it's the other way around. Because the audience has caught on the juries voting Sweden into oblivion every year, they deliberately don't vote for Sweden anymore to counter the high juryvote.
In case of for example Cyprus/Greece the juries are repeatedly failig their job, too. Makes you wonder why they're even there.
