A very dear but now deceased friend introduced me to Phyllis with this album. I've loved it ever since. And I never tire of it. Thank you.

She was a genius at stand up comedy. Watched her since age 10 in 1965. I got to see her perform once around 1975 at Knott's Berry Farm in California. So funny. Thank you for posting this.

I have "The Best of" since December 1972, but I never heard the entire bit. I became a fan around 1966.

Ms. Diller is the best! I remember growing up and for some reason we had a record of Phyllis Diller. It was one those "best of" records. Some of the material from this recording was in it. I don't know how many times I listened to it. But it was hilarious. Thanks for sharing.
Holy Cow! She was comedic genius. It's crazy how she can just talk and literally EVERYTHING she says is hilarious. She was a very sharp woman.

My mom caught her last stand up appearance in 1989 × it was how I was introduced to her. Fell in love with Diller + Vincent Price at five.

Jason did not know her personally. His friend gave him a Phyllis Diller album. That's how he came to know of her.

I love Phyllis Diller, but I sometimes wonder if she got her persona from Burgess Meredith's version of The Penguin (Batman TV show). The cigarette holder, pointy nose, the forced laugh and just overall weirdness. She could've played The Penguin's kid sister.
