Right ? I'm never changing from Playstation to Xbox because of the exclusive games. However this game is one of the few that got me wondering. Why they don't produce more games like that ? I always wanted to play this game so bad but I don't have a xbox nor a pc gamer, one day I will, but they got make more games like that bc this shit is fire.
It was good but got repetitive. Hoping they can improve on it with a sequel, it has a lot of potential to be a decent franchise, with how much history the Roman Empire has and all.
It was just a nice looking tech demo tbh, I enjoyed it alot, but objectively the gameplay itself is very tedious after like 20 minutes of a game. I love those cinematics tho so felt in love anyway... :3
@@Mushele It was a pretty quick game so the combat didn't overstay its welcome anyway. It felt like the earlier Assassin's Creed games, the mechanics weren't really complex but the story drives you to finish it.
7:41, that muscle twitch, tremble and vibration as he extends his arm and shouts. I don't think I have seen another game even try to replicate that so authentically.
To think this was on Steam for £1.99 not so long ago is just mad. So ahead of it's time and even Assassins Creed Odyssey is not as aesthetically pleasing as this is.
@@felixhernandez5109 They got to make more games like this. I have a playstation 4 and very happy with it because of the amount and quality of the exclusive playstation has. But damn, I played this game a little bit on a mall and bro that shit is fire. I wanna play it so bad lol
Dude that’s pretty accurate to how a coliseum show would be. They were way advanced for their time. Sometimes the coliseum would have ship battles in it. They would fill it with water. This ain’t magic it’s a Roman marvel
@@jackmiller5269 While I agree that the Coliseum must've been a marvel, the game absolutely exaggerates that. Not to say it doesn't look good, this sequence is cool as fuck.
@@jackmiller5269Greatly exaggerated. Also, the thing about water battles has never been truly confirmed. It is thought that it may have been done when it was inaugurated, as a special occasion, but it was nowhere near as regular as you think.
Do these gamemakers know how much a 100 ft tall tree weighs? And what, they just lifted a whole forest of them from a hundred feet beneath the coliseum? Using what, steel cables?
I literally traded in my PS five just so I can play this game then when I was done playing it I bought my PS five back lol one of the best combat games I’ve ever played for a realistic was a great story too
See what Xbox can do when they put thier minds to something? You get games like this which were amazing, or most recently the indiana jones game that just came out. They could be a really good game company but make stupid decisions.
Looks fucking terrrrrrible 🤣 the floor weirdly somehow changes n morphs into random places before they then fight on different platform 🤔 then all of a sudden random gladiators teleport spawn all around him to then him giving the main golden boy & back hand with his sword which leads to him to falling over (fight end) but oh no, it pans to a cutscene which completely scripts a different kill/ending to that golden boys life 🤣💀 piss poor... or is this suppose to be a futuristic gladiator game & i'm missing something here? 😂
@@motorhead48067 I wouldn't say combat looks cool & I struggle to understand the coolness in all the floor changing nonsense to end up fighting on a plain as f platform
I don't think that you realize that 1, this game was made in 2013. That was over 10 years ago, yet it still competes with games today. And 2, I don't think you have ever tried making a game or being a developer before yourself because if you did, then you would appreciate the graphics and the time put into this game. I also think that complaining over a floor glitch and not cool enough executions is crazy. Maybe try playing the game actually and come back once you play it, because calling this game trash is incredibly disrespectful. (Also, the executions are literally some of the best compared to other games, and this game does not hold back on gore, so I have no idea what you are talking about on that part).
@@MrLasagna1 I was probably a bit harsh with my first comment, I was just ultra confused as to what that colosseum floor bullshit was about, like surely it would of been better if they fort through the first scenary that was thrown into play, then fort in the 2nd, moving onto the final platform which was what they fort on the whole time? instead of flailing through random floor moving crap to end up on a final platform
@@HeartbreakKid69I think the concept of a moving floor sounds kind of cool actually. Sure, it may not be accurate in terms of the floors changing, but some of the battles that you see in here (I am not saying all the battles were like this) but it is actually true that some battles in the coliseum were on a pretty big scale and sometimes had lots of crazy things in them. The only historical inaccuracy here is the moving floors which I'm pretty sure the devs added in just to make the game more exciting and really throw in that random factor of "anything could come up from the ground and be a new obstacle." I think the moving floors was a unique touch and there was nothing wrong with them.
This game was soo cool and still looks amazing in 2024

fr like it is amazing this game has been out for years and still looks better than most modern video games
@@Sir_Al03even better!
@liamn.7664 True words bro
can't believe it was released 2013, I thought it's a new game. LOL
Maximus:"Are you not entertained?!!"
...no.
Good fighting out there, cannot get over the amount blood on your hands.
This felt like if gladiator was a playable game.
They must have taken some inspiration from the film.
I’ll never understand why we don’t have more games in this setting.
Bcuz most game devs are lefty pieces of shit, hate the patriarchy which represents a lot of Rome so they want that era to die. Never going to happen.
I don’t know god of war is kinda like this
me neither...i don't get it man...this game was extremely overlooked ...it's graphics and performance still hold up in 2024 its crazy...

one of the first xbox one games to come out and still looks perfect 👌🏾
It’s the first Xbox one game to come out but I agree.
This is the real Gladiator 2.
Gladiator 2 was really good
This was my very first Xbox one game memories with this game
Sameeee
Glad you played a campaign game for your first game, younglins. Im blessed Halo was my first 👍
Same
I think it was one of the very fist games to come out with the Xbox one? I remember like only being able to play this game at first lol

Is it on pc game pass?
@ pc and Xbox yeah

I hope so bad this game gets a sequel someday. There's nothing even close to this when it comes to roman video games.
Just learned this game is NOT from 2024 lol this is nuts
One day the will make ryse 2, but not yet,not yet
Soooooo wish this was on ALL platforms...!

Commander of the armies of the North,
General of the Felix Legions,
Wow this game still looks so good 👍
So underrated! Mechanics, graphics, performance, story.. what a game👌
PS5 needs this!
I haven’t seen anybody play this game in forever it’s been years
How is there still no 300, spartan game with an Arkham night style combat system
Because that would be wack
@@XxgoodbudsxX the batman series has one of the best combat systems out there
If this got a remake holy
a very underrated game, still looks good
Im gonna play it again . That game is incredible

"I'm Commodus and so is my wofe!"
This is better than G2!
Why are they speaking English? 😮
ANYTHING is better than that leftist commie propaganda trash
Gladiator 2 was really good
bro really threw pocket sand
Picked the game up on steam for 4 bucks it is still great.
Those guys must have bought their armour from stormtroopers, it did nothing!
I tried to love this game, but those pauses when you're about to kill someone. Makes me crazy
I love games where you can see the damage you do. Not a sword passing through a character
Me acuerdo cuando jugaba al shadow of rome...con el personaje agripa
The coliseum being made of magic kinda ruins this for me honestly. I just wanna see the clips lol

if you love ancient rome this game is a must
wait did he just say “i am vengeance” 😂
I think that I still prefure the game Shadow Of Rome. As the fight scenes are way more gruesome and it makes the game feel more realistic.
This was the game I got with the Xbox one, it’s one hell of a game wished the online was better tho
Sad that this game got slept on by so many
Dudes on the same level as Kratos lol from what I just saw
The multiplayer was SO DAMN promising and then they just left it in the dirt... so sad.
I’m very upset I never got a chance to try this multiplayer out it was literally a free for all gladiator mode we need a game like that now a days 😢
Mid-evil COD needs to happen.
Like chivalry 2 but polished.
Do these gamemakers know how much a 100 ft tall tree weighs? And what, they just lifted a whole forest of them from a hundred feet beneath the coliseum? Using what, steel cables?
Needed an option to remove the QTE's. The executions were insane but when it stops for you to press a button it ruined it. Lost replay value
cutscenes look so great. thought this was a newer game
That was a beutiful 😂 game on x Box one but my wish is, this game on ps 5.
That Was a Dream Game !
it just hit me. Commodus. Commode. The little shit.😆😅🤣
Never played it... but for $5 on G2A, why not? Thanks man.
NO PUEDO CREER QUE ESTE JUEGO SEA DEL AÑO 2013. QUE LOCURA DE GRAFICOS
Este juego a medida que fue pasando el tiempo la gente lo aprecia mas
lol This game sure is imaginative, a whole-ass pine forest coming out from beneath the coliseum? Yeah okay
This game shines in graphics and story telling, needs a little more gameplay improvements then it’s perfect
this games look amazing in 2025

After reading the comments i realised this is not a new game😅

Need this for ps5
just a amazing graphic with a$$ story and gameplay
I wish they made this game for PlayStation
So graphics really haven't improved since 2013 huh?

no, not COMBO END, and not last
