I used the Asus Prime-A mobo with the i9 Tenth Gen Intel 10850K processor, 32G of Patriot 3200 RAM, Samsung EVO 2TB SSD as the primary drive with 2 Western Digital 7200rpm 1TB hard drive, Corsair RMX 850 power supply and hooked it up to my Black Widow keyboard and new Asus VG278QR 27” Gaming Monitor, 1080P Full HD, 165Hz. I still am waiting to get a new Nvidia RTX 3080 graphic's card when they finally stop getting bought out by the scalpers. I built this system in my old Cooler Master HAF 932 full tower box and have 2 old optical drives in it. Build went off flawlessly and everything plays well together. I really love this new Asus bios display. Updated my BIOS which was super easy compared to the last build I did which was 10 years ago when BIOS was still really hard and complex to get done right without bricking the mobo. I would have like to see the install and use of the Asus AI 3 suite as there is an app on there called Daemon that I'm not what it does. Anyway, Great vid and thanks for taking the time to make and post it.

I have mine set to extreme, but there is no difference than when it is set to normal. I have the i7-11700K so it is unlocked and I’m just stuck on overclocking it. I’ve tried to find videos on manually doing it, but only the motherboard you have shows up when I search it.

I have a Z490-V which was causing blue screen crashes and reboots whenever my PC was idle or in sleep mode. There was never a pattern to how long the pc was idle before crashing either. Sometimes it could be 5 minutes while other times over an hour or two. There were a plethora of posts and guides, even replacing my PSU, I followed but nothing seemed to work until I found a reddit post suggesting to turn off overclocking. Turning off all the auto overclock settings seemed to fix it. No more crashes. Every once in a while I'll have a random crash. It's been months and this morning I awoke to my PC in the bios menu. Not sure what happened. Anyway, all that said, I'm not sure if I turned off the overclocking correctly and would love for someone to guide me on how to make sure all the settings are standard and no overclock. Thanks.
Specifically came here for the Thunderbolt config. Am disappointed. The MFG themselves don't mention it (not even in the TBEX3 card documentation)--how does someone find this info out?
Hi, Great video! Maybe you can help me. I have Asus z490 tuf gaming wifi motherboard. I updated the bios. Installed all the drivers on windows 10 fresh install. Everything works great. except when the pc goes to sleep. Sometimes it will wake up by moving the mouse or hitting a key on the keyboard. and sometimes it doesn't. sometimes I hit the power button and it wakes up. and sometimes it doesn't. any clues?
I have this BIOS. For some reason, when I adjust the fan curve to the quiet setting my computer calms down but then when I save and exit the fans go back to maximum and when I return to the BIOS it's like I never changed the fan settings in the first place. I don't know if it has anything to do with my AIO cooler? I don't suppose you have ever encountered this issue with fan adjustments not saving. I just got the computer used and I want to make sure it's working its best.
Guys depending on your pc don’t do this stuff at all. Big NO NO. When I boot mine up the pc was broken and I had to call a friend to fix it which took 3 hours 😬

I have the approximately the same bios, my processor is an I7 10700K and its frequency is 3800 MHZ However, on startup it shows me in the bios, 800 MHZ. But under Windows it's OK it works well at the right frequency (even overclocked). My question is: Why it displays 800 MHZ and where in the bios is the option to reset the correct frequency ? At startup, it runs well at 800 MZH because I wait several seconds before being able to enter the setup and once inside, it lag when I navigate in it. Numerous reputable sources (namely GamersNexus) recommend NOT using the AI overclocking modes, because they result in very high voltages when they're unnecessary, raising CPU temps and potentially reducing its lifespan. Turn it off. Also turn off the MCE (Multi Core Enhancement) feature, does other bad stuff.
@@DannySwish yeah about the voltages.. already set them manually although had to go down on my cpu speeds from 5.1 down to 4.8 in order to keep those lower voltages numbers.... the 10700k still feels way better then my previous 7700k at 5.0ghz tho. That other feature MCE I had no idea it does something bad.. I will turn it off after doing some more research and see what it actually does bad, however thanks a lot for the heads up :) . ps. funny I'm watching gamersnexus right now lol.

I would say buy a decently large hard drive or ssd(new not one you’ve already owned). Then install windows and all that extra stuff. Once you can browse the web, copy and transfer all your information from the old h ssd into the new one. Be sure to to uninstall all of the old windows information and motherboard chipset information as well. In general, you should just have normal documents and games( no drivers or a preinstalled windows)

@@starboy6226 I downloaded windows 10 from the Microsoft website onto a flash drive. But you must first get to another PC and download latest bios firmware update.
@@deandredavis7943 yh i fixed it today I just downloaded the i225 Ethernet lan drivers onto a flash drive from another computer and then put in the my new pc with the z490 and then my Ethernet worked

My assu x515ma doesn't have the options yours does. I am on bios 303. And I can't get my 16gb ram upgrade recognized

800 mhz is most likely your cpu idle speed. Working with bios is not demanding and runs your cpu at its lowest speed.

Are you turning the PSU off? That should turn those off.
