Woa, congradulations NATE! You'd dah man! BCH should make you all commit to being their instructors for one year (free) for all the Adavan they have to take after teaching y'all! Serous question for NATE...when we see helicopters hoovering for take off and then all of a sudden they start spinning out of control and crash, is that because they didnt head into the wind right away???
I heard the words pushing and pulling a lot...but what?! It may seem obvious to you but we all know how many IQ points you lose once the rotors start turning. Linking what control you're manipulating such as saying: moving the cyclic forward or bringing in power with collective, entering the auto by lowering the collective and adding left pedal, etc just registers better subconsciously with students. And for the love of helo flying, let it be known where you're looking! All to say looks like you've been putting in a lot of work and keep it up!
Good job!! Both of you.
Nice job
Being in the student role and being allowed to make mistakes on purpose looks really fun!
It is actually really fun.

More than likely if they started spinning it is because they hit their tail rotor on something and lost directional control.
