    Can we use regular dish soap? Would that affect our kitty's bum bum if its not unscented and biodegradable?

    • @rowenelektra
      @rowenelektra 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I cannot recall at the moment why biodegradable is important, but unscented is super super important because pets are ultra sensitive to chemical scents and it cant effect there health, which is why they use animals for testing, because they are more sensitive than humans :<
      so i do suggest you use the unscented.

    • @abdurrehman9123

    • @belathebun5994
      @belathebun5994  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It doesn’t clump sadly. I like to line my litter box with a bag and then after a day or two I pull up the bag and throw away the soiled litter, no litter box washing needed! Then I just put in a new bag and litter! I hope this helps!! ❤️

    Can a normal dish soap be used instead of biodegradable dish soap?

    • @belathebun5994
      @belathebun5994  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      If its unscented and naturally based then yes! If it’s a regular dish soap that is scented and dyed etc it can be toxic for your pet since pets are more sensitive to chemicals than humans. So I would suggest even just an unscented natural bar soap over a regular dish soap! I hope that helps!! ❤️

    • @abdurrehman9123
      @abdurrehman9123 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I wouldn't suggest that. My rabbit, i don't know but, for some reason, does not like the reused beddings. I did it a few times and every time he would remove the bedding. He is ok if I put in a newly made bedding.

    • @belathebun5994
      @belathebun5994  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I really wouldn’t suggest that. I think once it’s been used then it should be thrown away or composted if possible. They are extremely sensitive animals and have very strong noses, and can probably smell the old urine even if you wash it. Also it’s not very sanitary to reuse fecal and urine filled litter.
      I hope that helps.

    Hi dear... its a lovely video.. Thank and bless u for sharing!! I wanna try making it for my (30 +)bunnies.. Need ur help & guidance to understand two things.. 1. wanna know is the soap which we are using in this is safe for bunnies because many of my bunnies try eating or even eat their litter, so knowing this fact that they eat their litter, I wanna know is it safe if they eat this DIY litter as it carries soap in it.. ? 2. Also, as i have many bunnies, I wanna know would this litter be able to cure the bad odor associated with their pee or poop? If not, is there any good way through which bad odor associated with their pee or poop can be removed & my house smell good instead too :) ? Thank u so much in advance for sharing reply.. truly appreciate it and grateful to u for the same...

    • @belathebun5994
      @belathebun5994  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hello! Thank you for the questions! As for the soap, you wanna make sure you rinse it out thoroughly so there is none left, youl probably need to do multiple rinses, and if your really worried then you can skip the soap and just soak and rinse your paper as long as there isnt any toxic bleaching processes or colourants or inks. For smell, i make sure to clean my bunnies litter daily, i like to use a trash bag to line the box so i can easily remove and clean the litter, and i buy them in bulk so its cheaper. I also suggest an air purifier near theyre litter box to obsorbe the smells. I hope that helps :D
