Thanks George that's really great to hear :) Yes the drone really captures some great angles, we're very pleased to have it back working again!!! The hand did start to look a bit bad at one point, but we cleaned it out every morning and all has healed well now thankfully :)
In 12 months you have become true yachties, from being afraid of leaving Malta dock to masters of your own ship. So proud of you both & the fur kids for how well they have adapted to life onboard.

The places that you guys have been anchoring in over the last few months have been amazing. The whole Turkish coast looks nothing how I had expected. Must be so much better now the forestay is fixed and being able to take advantage of sailing days like that.
Jacksons a blessing, he takes us to many secluded places where we can take him to run etc. Yes it's so much better, back to normal, we can save some money now not having to motor everywhere. We have now done almost 900hrs, which isn't much for its age, but HUGE considering we bought it 18months ago with 150hrs lol
@@SailingSunday Tip from an old fart. Save and buy a FULL set of pre mads shrouds. Put in locker somewhere. It's a prick srying to kake up a stay when you climbimg up and down in a gale with wire hanging. Have a few assorted lengths of stay wire too with a handfull o Bulldog clips tp make up. Splicing not good.. A spare heavy Danforth with 40/50ft of chain and big shackle good too. Bad Holding some places. Set that first. shackle to head of main anchor, then set that. DOUBLE bite at whatever ground down there. Also good for temp mooring too. run both anchors with shackle 40ft up main chain. Anchors both ways to riser.

Carry lots of super glue/crazy glue for stuff like that - cuts and stuff. Not sure if you are aware but Greece is open (for certain nationals) - just a political thing with Turkey. You guys should be able to go to Greece now if you are from an exempt country.

The captain was actually a really nice bloke, he politely came over that night to tell us the owner wanted to come back tomorrow and anchor next to us in the bay but we told him we were heading off in the morning anyway. If we were staying, then I definitely would have told him to raft up next to us and invite us for dinner! He was an Aussie also :)
We started training him to use the toilet and he eventually caught on, he also started using the sink which sounds AWFUL but it was actually so good, pee went straight down the drain and was so much better than having to deal with kitty litter 😆

Thank you! We have trained him to use a grass mat at the bow, he only uses it on passage etc. very rarely does he use it when we Are on day trips or at anchor! He just gets lots of trips to shore! Which he loves haha
Don't worry. Just find a Jacket that fits him. Rope a large ring into the back of it and use a Jib Halyart to pull him out when he jumps in after the Dolphins. We live in Aust. Did most of my sailing for 40 odd yrs round this coastline by myself. 42ft Boden Sth Seas. Cornish Rex cat and Bull terrier/Cross MAstiff. Woofly. He used to overrun the bow when running along side deck Chasing Dolphins. Over rails and sploosh. 2.3 in the morning. Lucky the sharks didn't get him. He's part of YOUR life. Live it with him. Cat has tray. Dogs normally find fav spot out of weather on side decks. Bucket of water. ALL gone. MOST dogs. and a lot of cats love the boat,. My Cornish HATED the rough stuff round Tassie and Sth AUst. But loved the gentle stuff up North. He'd dig his claws into dinette cushions. and if looks could kill..... cmpanionway. If Vertical. I had a plank with toe rails on it. about a ft wide. hooks at top over steps. giving a decent angle for up and down. Folds in middle on hinge. to move and hide. I climb up alonside of it. Maybe for'rard. Stern cabin hatch to bunk?. Enjoy. I'm 79. lost depth of field. My sailing days over, but near 70 yrs on them.

I don't think I like the idea of a dog, especially such a large dog on a small craft like yours. Dogs are land creatures; they like to run around, smell things, etc., etc.

You need liquid skin and you won’t have to stay out of the water and it stops the bleeding.
You should learn how to fix cuts with Super Glue.
My mechanic mate used to do that all the time, He reckons its the best way to stop all the grease etc getting into the cuts!
