To get Miami to build them a new stadium they agreed to field a competitive team so they boosted the payroll. The team has been like that since then, and now that Bruce Sherman is the owner (Jeter only owns 4% but is the CEO), they've cut payroll even more. There is ZERO indication that they ever intend to build a competitive team.

All I know is that Jeter hasn't failed at much in his life if at all. He needs to be given a chance to implement his plan.
