  • This is a supercut of all the voice interactions between characters and a computer that occur in Star Trek: The Next Generation, Season 4. Each clip is cut to focus solely on the conversation. If you want more context, I'd recommend watching the series in its entirety.

    That shrinking universe episode was so clever. Beverly Crusher being gaslighted by the very reality she's in, people vanishing and nobody (besides her) having any idea they ever existed. And when she's talking to herself about the issue, to responses a 'confused' computer unable to answer her rhetorical questions.

      I think they actually confirmed it was him. Spiner has demonstrated he can do a scarily accurate impression of Patrick's voice on several occasions. And if you listen closely when he is doing the voice, it sounds slightly off, especially when he says the word "sequence".

    • @Windrave
      @Windrave 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I'd like to imagine that to activate the computer it needs to be said/voiced as a command. As you notice when called out that the word "Computer" is always emphasized, especially the "Com-" part so likely the software recognizes 'a command type' voice to start activation. And because of this simply saying "computer" in a regular sentence will not activate it.
