Karl, I’m an old guy. I love watching you do your thing. Please know that it’s very difficult for me to hear and comprehend what you are saying when music plays while you are speaking. But I will watch it anyhow as you do what I’ve always wanted to do. Thanks for the great work. John
I have made the mistake of leaving the bolt in while finish welding the nut in ,,, but I did it inside the frame it was open at the time ... had too cut the nut back out and reweld a new nut back in ,, the bolt melted to the nut or the nut to the bolt .. learned a little lesson that day remove bolt to finish weld ..
The magic of filming makes it look so quick and easy when in reality it's so far from it! You're one Heck of a artist when it comes to metal fab! Great job brother!
I enjoyed the hell out of watching your artistic talents used to create your firewall parts! That being said I may have used a Ford engine in that Ford body that has the distributor in the front where God intended.
Great tip regarding the flange nuts. I don't smoke, drink, gamble or take the marry jo anna stuff or the like, but guy's your both additive. The talents you both possess are a true gift.
Definitely my favorite build channel I've written it before but your skills and personality are of superior qaulity. I love the build more than maintenance after the the fact. Continue what you are doing and you'll have me as a fan far into the future. Two thumbs up, Sarge!
Sweet tip on using the flanged nuts to weld into frame. I know you can buy weld in nuts but this is way less expensive option that are readily available and then sizes all available. Also need to grind off any gal or zinc coating as toxic fumes when welding.
The way you made the body mounts is much better than doing it in the press brake. Much stronger and no stress. When I worked in a vessel shop we fabricated most everything instead of breaking it even though we had one hell of a brake, it was at least 10' or 12' long.
Having the right tools speeds things up! bigtime. I use to be a fabricator I was a welder fitter for most of my life but mostly built heavy equipment and a lot of structural things for high rises and industrial buildings etcetera. You name it I've built it. I guess the internet opens the door to help you make the extra bucks so you can get your hands on the good tools. Than you can build awesome roadsters, right bud O man if I was only born forty years later. LOL
karl you are one of the best auto builder I've seen on youtube .hardcorefab is one of the best auto builder on youtube. he has others but the list would be long
Really nice job you're very good with a metal fabrication looks like you have all the top notch tools and equipment thanks for the video I'll keep watching
Great videos! One comment. I'm an AWS Certified Welding Inspector, and I have three customers that are missing their thumbs or part of their thumbs, from not having the guard on a cutoff wheel. I've also been a welder for the better part of 40 years, and I can say there has never been a good reason to take that guard off. Your hands and your brain are your money makers, don't take the chance compromising your ability to do what you obviously love doing! Cheers!
Started a project WAY out of my experience level. Restoring my 70 Mustang completely down to the frame. 40yrs of WTF?! "repairs" made it necessary to be safe for everyone. I've been MIG welding everything, and think I may be better off TIG welding. The speed lost by TIG, is made up in post processing, from what I'm seeing you do. Smaller, softer, easier to blend welds with TIG.
Brother, you do very nice fabs, I would really like to see you build a full back fender for a chopper I need to see how you would do it ,minimal tools,I don't have a wheel or shrinker but I want to make a rear fender, please make a Vid on this Much Thanks Wolf
Damn! New subscriber now! I have a 62 Falcon I am doing a lot to...I have a lot more ideas and want to's than skills! haha But I like learning from others!
What’s the way to do it! I was never classically trained this is all trial and error which is the best way to learn. TH-cam has so many great creators sharing the craft
Hay buddy what do you do to the A model frame rails in the rear for the diff thanks . As I don’t like to a it for the lower stance but I think that is what I will have to do . It’s a coupe and still want to have dicky seat not boot 😊
the toe board brace looks like its welded to both the subframe and removable cowl was this the intent? if so are you going to also weld the cowl into the body as well?
Thanks for the feedback Franklin I appreciate it! This was one of our first videos we are constantly trying to up our production value. The feedback really does help
Very nice work. Mad skills yo!!!! Is your filler wire about 30 thousandth? Any idea if heat settings 20 amps ish? Thanks 🙏 for the tips and skills you got bruh 😎✌️

I really like the way you take the time to make everything look "finished". You're a great mentor! Thank You, JD
Awesome idea of using the flange nut as a welded in mounting point! Thanks for sharing.
You’re welcome man! Little tricks

Thanks a lot Eric! Yeah filming does make it look easy lol
As always you knock it out of the park!!!!!The way you build things is very impressive.
Thanks Roger! I appreciate all the great comments

Good to know thanks for the reassurance!
So glad I found the start of this build. 👍 👌
Couple of ‘genius’s’ were said during this one..
Incredible…
Right on! Glad you found useful stuff!
Excellent design & execution. Your attention to detail is superb.
The Devil is in the details, as it is said. Thanks for posting your work.
Stay Real.
Thanks man, I couldn't agree more!! All these details are important!!

Wow David, thanks so much for the compliment! I'm glad you're enjoying the work we do! Hardcore Fab is an awesome channel and I watch it all the time!
Morning Karl!! Another great video!! Thank you for sharing!!
Liked the body mount! Simple but effective!
Sometimes keeping it simple is the best way!
Yeah i like that whole flange idea also um actually to use that idea in the next couple days on something im working on thanks for the tip
Really nice job you're very good with a metal fabrication looks like you have all the top notch tools and equipment thanks for the video I'll keep watching
Thanks so much Rick! We're always working on improving and finding better tools and methods! Thanks for watching
Hell yeahhh kiddo fun to watch and plenty of good tips keep’em coming 👌🏻
Will do man thanks for following along!👊👊👊
Nice control with that cutoff wheel and great camera capture..giving me ideas for this 37 Tudor Sedan
Right on!
Fine craftsmanship.
Thank you so much!
Very Nice. The Best tool you have are tour hands...
Thanks so much Bruno!
Great video. Really great work.
I believe White vinegar will clean those nuts for welding, it works faster warmed up. Works good for rust too.
Interesting thanks for the tip!

Thanks so much for your concern Eric! Appreciate it! You’re absolutely right! Thanks for watching and thanks for looking out!
Been binge watching this channel daily... just sayin

Yes very true! I still use mig welding for some things Tig has a lot less cleanup
Have you done a tour of the shop showing all the equipment? Box folder, press brake and what else?
Hey Martin! We have not done a full shop tour yet, but that's a great video idea! Thanks
Great video, nice fabrication, Great work
Thank you very much!
Thanks for the nut tip. By the way looks like you’re using Dagger hammers and shot bag, excellent tools for the money. Keep up the great work
Yeah man my buddy bought these at a garage sale years ago and dropped them off I’ve been using them ever since!
Brother, you do very nice fabs, I would really like to see you build a full back fender for a chopper I need to see how you would do it ,minimal tools,I don't have a wheel or shrinker but I want to make a rear fender, please make a Vid on this
Much Thanks
Wolf
OK man I’m putting it on the list might take a bit to get to it !
The flange nut tip is pure genius ! Your work is second to none . Thanks
Many thanks, Mike!! Glad you enjoyed the tip!

Dude, Great flange nut idea,. Really digging your channel/Videos, best of luck on a solid start.
Thank you so much Brian! I’m glad you like the idea and the channel
been following on Instagram for a while.. pretty excited to see how far you take this TH-cam. il be here for the ride
Right on Joel thanks for the support! I am looking to take this as far as it can go!
I'm hooked lol
WICKED!! We love to hear that! Thanks for watching 👊🏼
also wouldn't the slots also aid in alignment in the brake press?
Yes
How about detail plans on how you built your plasma table so I can build one
There are lots of plans and forums out there. I didn’t build this one just rebuilt it
Great tips and tunes
Thanks Matt!
Love going back through some of your older content. One quick question, how do you make the choice whether to Mig or Tig weld a job?
Thank you awesomeness
Welcome man!
Hay buddy what do you do to the A model frame rails in the rear for the diff thanks . As I don’t like to a it for the lower stance but I think that is what I will have to do . It’s a coupe and still want to have dicky seat not boot 😊
You’ll have to kick the frame up a little bit. This car has a 32 Ford style frame. The rear rails come up a bit and there is a c notch in them as well
@@MakeItKustom yeah okay thanks buddy
Will you be using some kind of body mount cushion under the mount? If so, what do you use? Thanks
I just use 1/4” rubber
the toe board brace looks like its welded to both the subframe and removable cowl was this the intent? if so are you going to also weld the cowl into the body as well?
Yes that’s what I’m doing
What sanding discs do you use to remove the weld? Brand? Grit? They do a great job.
I really like the purple 3M discs 36 and 80 grit
Video was great. Your voice audio at parts in the middle was just a little soft though
Thanks for the feedback Franklin I appreciate it! This was one of our first videos we are constantly trying to up our production value. The feedback really does help
Is that a 70 skylark in the background?
There’s a 69GS I believe
Very nice work. Mad skills yo!!!!
Is your filler wire about 30 thousandth?
Any idea if heat settings 20 amps ish?
Thanks 🙏 for the tips and skills you got bruh 😎✌️
I’m using .035 inch wire probably around 30 A but I set my welder to about 55 so I can throttle up to start
Hey, good job. What gas do you use for your TIG?
Are use 100% argon thanks man!
Genius
🙏👊😆
Where do you get your flange nuts? I can't find them at any local suppliers in BC.
I buy them from Fastenal
@@MakeItKustom Thanks Karl. I have to go to Kelowna or Kamloops for that. We have a Lakeside fasteners here, but they don't seem to carry them.
what wire do you use for awi welding?
Awi?
@@MakeItKustom Yes (AWI)
So much better watching it on TH-cam then on IG
Yea ! It was about time! 🙏🙏🙏
Agree on comment regarding safety on the guard. Also, the background music, in the beginning, was too loud and distracting. Love the rest.
Sorry, but the shop music competed with your voice, at least in the early running. Some will hear you less well. I’M A BIG FAN
Beautiful work but time is money 😂
Thanks 🙏 it sure is.
The repetative music is a bit too much hey Karl. Do you mind omitting it. Its best soothing to hear the factory/ tool sounds.
Awesome tip on the flange nuts!
