    Is it just me or are defensive games just more tense and fun to watch?

    • @kylefunderburk4194
      @kylefunderburk4194 3 ปีที่แล้ว +25

      Actual defensive games are fun to watch. Too many bad offensive games are mistaken for good defensive games. Georgia vs. Clemson was a good defensive game. These are two offenses that will score 30+ points for the rest of the year.

    After rewatching it, Ringo's PI on the goal line was probably a calculated decision. He could tell he was beat on an under thrown ball, so mugged the receiver. The PI penalty would be better than a TD done PI is not a spot foul in college.

    So I have 6 1st round talents for Georgia at d-line: Davis, Wyatt, Walker, Carter, Smith and Anderson (1st round talent, UDFA character). Moreover, I see Carter as a top 5 talent, and Walker and Davis as top 10 talents. That’s just in terms of the guys we know are already monsters. Who knows how many more will emerge. Jermaine Johnson, another top 10 talent, had a hard even getting on the field in 2020.
    At linebacker, I see 3 1st round talents: Dean, Walker and Tindall
    In the secondary, I have Cine as a 1st rounder (watching this guy run the alley is about as fun as watching football gets). Ringo could get there as well but I have him as 2nd-3rd round talent right now.
    Just the most insane collection of dudes in the history of college football. What an honor and a pleasure it is to watch these dudes fly around.
    This many DUDES on 1 defense: I don’t know that we’ll ever see the likes of this again.

    • @E2you
      @E2you 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We know Walker is going in the top 10 but none of these videos have made me think he’s a top 10 guy. I think he’s going to have less patient teams and fan bases cause of him going so high. He’s still raw even if a truly great athlete. Even his future position feels unclear. During the season I thought 3-4 DE or LE in 4-3. After the combine I could see it as those or even 3-4 LOLB. Feels like some team/fan base will be hoping he’s a pass rushing RE tho. Would be the worst spot for him.
      Wyatt feels like the first player I can think of who might be a first round pick yet still feels way under rated.

      I watched the highlights and specifically kept an eye out for JD and one of the reasons we were able to sack the QB so many times is because he always had a minimum of two players on him and many times still made it to the quarterback. I saw him take on three players at one point and a fourth joined them. Even when he wasn't in the spotlight he made his presence known big time.

      SEC officials have had a fundamental misunderstanding of what pass interference is since the 1990s. They failed to get a good grasp on the penalty during Florida's fun and gun era and are yet to catch up now that every team is passing the ball 20+ times each game.

    Both defenses look great. UGA has a disgusting defensive line. Clemson was being Clemson. New QB was running scared instead of with purpose. Play calling did not help. I can see Clemson struggling against ACC competition this year. Defense is going to have to carry until the O gets tuned up.

      @@umso4l You want to run that statement back? I love Clemson, been a fan since I was a kid. This teams been declining last couple years. There is no Trevor or Etn to bail out the team offensively anymore. Just lost to NC State, as I figured they would. They might beat BC next week but I'm predicting at least one more ACC loss and tragically a loss to South Carolina. If not for the absolute disarray the ACC has been in, I'd confidently say they aren't winning the ACC either but they have enough talent to do it. Either way, they need a new OC.

    I mean we (Clemson) just had offensive issues. Stupid stuff like 2 receivers trying to run the same route. OL just letting DL jog past them. DJ starring down 1 receiver the entire time. DJ looking confused like he was drinking all night before. Georgia defense looked good, but we just looked really bad on offense that game. Not seen them look that bad offensively in a while. Also, not sure we got anyone w/ speed running go routes that entire game. Gonna have to get Shipley involved there if he got any hands at all.

    I swear the more I watch Ringo the worse it gets. His tape is literally a comedy of errors! At this point he’s less a cornerback than an athlete playing cornerback. Outside of a handful of splash plays what you see is a guy with below average instincts, awareness and football intelligence for the position. 1st round?! More like 3rd or 4th round project!
