- The Clemson Tigers lost a defensive battle to the Georgia Bulldogs, 10-3. Neither team could get their offense on track as Georgia was held to 256 yards of offense and Clemson 180. DJ Uiagalelei threw for 178 yards for Clemson, 110 of those to Joseph Ngata. The running game however was held to 2 yards.

Who else going back and watching the entire Georgia football season after we just won the natty!!
I know everyone is complaining about the low score, the younger crowd in particular, but every now and then I love seeing a good defensive battle.
Who ever is complaining does not know football!!!!...Pads were popping out there

@@calesowles5313 same here. We were short handed with so many receivers out and JT may have been banged up so not surprised we did very little. Plus you have to give that Clemson DL credit. They’re good. Breese is a beast and lived in our backfield. He disrupted so many plays.
@@scottg8841 they were! I bet a lot of people hit the cold tub afterwards…especially DJ. He was harassed to the point that he was seeing pressure that wasn’t there a few times.
This was literally a great game. It just showed how good both defenses are and how good there schemes were. Lower scoring games like this are the best football games. I’m 21 saying this. All these younger kids think football is what madden is when it’s not. Kids in madden run the same plays over and over again and that just wouldn’t work in real life just like how they go for it on 4&10 on there own 30.

The people talking about it was boring bc it wasn't a lot of points....don't understand real football. This was a old school defensive slugfest. Trench warfare at the line of scrimmage. I'll take a great defensive game over a great offensive game any day.

What an old-school all out slugfest! Still exciting to rewatch! Watching a heavyweight bout keep each other off the board is even more dramatic than watching an 80 point game. Go Dawgs!
It's refreshing to see that most people enjoyed this defensive game. Usually the youngins complain when there isn't much scoring. But most of all, I'm happy that my Bulldogs won!
I’m a Georgia fan, I became a fan from them early in my life from both sets of grandparents, but they all live in Ga and the rest of my family doesn’t really watch football, so I went to watch the game at my buddy’s house, they’re all Clemson fans so I was a UGA fan in a house of about 5 people and he told me after the game "the game was sOoO bOrInG" it wasn’t, it’s a great game. So glad they pulled it out, Go Dawgs! ATD

@@kakashigamer4987 Key would be keeping Jones from throwing interceptions. Athletic quarterbacks have a way of messing you up if you blitz to many people. Will be an interesting game for sure.

Simply put, it’s a good win for Georgia…Congrats! But fortunately this isn’t so much of a bad loss for Clemson, but an opportunity for growth. Both defenses were outstanding and didn’t allow any points but only each allowing “a field goal”…If Clemson wins out, there’s a great possibility they’ll see the Dawgs again! Go Clemson!

I think there season is over they don’t play another top 10 opponent unless they get a lot of help.

This loss was devastating for Clemson. If this knocks them out of the top four….. I don’t see an opponent on their schedule that can put them back in the playoffs. Their destiny might be out of their hands.

@@centerworldUSA I'm a Georgia fan and I'm skeptical about going 12-0. There's always one game they throw, a game they should win but they don't. In 2017 it was Auburn (although they did get revenge in the SEC Championship) 2018 to LSU, 2019 at home to an UNRANKED SC, and last year to Florida. I really hope my skepticism is unwarranted but history tells me otherwise.

DJ has a lot of growing to do for sure if Clemson has any shot at a title, like at 11:04 when he could’ve gained a first down but instead just sat in the pocket

Georgia was playing with the 2nd and 3rd team on offense. Wait to the Dawgs get healthy. If they meet again Georgia would beat Clemson by 3 touchdowns.

This year: it's clearly UGA Bama OSU and Clemson. I'd take Ohio State to win it all. Saw them at Rutgers in person last year. Truly a video game offense. Not sure they're beatable.

The only teams that will challenge them are Notre Dame, with an inexperienced qb against a monster Dabo defense, and Miami, which has been down for a long time. I like Clemson to make it to the CFP but then get smashed by Bama or Ohio State.

Dabo needs to grow a pair and fire Robbie Caldwell. We're not getting back to the top with him as the O-Line coach. DJ has some things to work on but I think he'll be fine as he gains more experience
Well we didn't watch the same game. DJ has no pocket awareness, and waits for a receiver to get open, rather than throw with anticipation before the receiver breaks.

I'm doing the same... Georgia hasn't really played anybody like we have. The defense is there but that's too be expected. They're winning by mistakes and flags when going against decent teams. Pass game trash, run game decent. After the Auburn win I think we understand what is going to take to be great and it won't be as much as everyone expects.

I personally think my Tigers are in trouble this season. Someone's missed on the 5 star expectations this kid was supposed to deliver,, he's a bust.
Call it what you like,, opening game jitters,, whatever,, "but",, the kid's (DJ Ukalele,, I'm not even gonna try) got terrible release time on his throws,, slow as a snail on his release,, bad hands with all the dropped balls from center,, terrible mobility in or out the pocket & slow decision making or instincts on when to get out the path of an onrushing DL. Ducking all night into the sack was his sole means of eluding a rusher.
His passing for the most part looked as though he was trying to miss hitting the Ga. defenders instead of hitting his receivers,, defensive throws,, not offensive throws. Chalk some of this up to the play calling (which I thought was one dimensional as well) but how many times did he throw downfield or anything over 20 yards? If these are the "highlights" of the game,, he threw 2 really well thrown passes in this 20 minute video,, one at the 2:50 mark in the 2Q & one at the 11:08 mark in the 4Q,, TWO MIND YOU!!
If this was the entire game,, I remember his 2nd or 3rd pass of the evening he threw behind his receiver 5 yards on a quick out pattern less than 10 yards,, busted play?? I think not. No leads on his passing to receivers,, no anticipation of their cuts where the pass route was supposed to take the receiver. It was obvious the receivers got tired of running their route & not even seeing the ball in their line of sight at the end of it. That kind of crap will cross a receiver up after so many bad throws & he starts anticipating the ball not being there as it's supposed to be in lieu of it thrown behind or in front or over his head 5 yards each time!! He's searching for the ball instead of expecting it to be where it should be! That clouds his vision,, anticipation,, instincts & follow through on the play.
You guys say what you will but we're in for a very long season with some of the mediocre teams we used to trounce & pull Trevor out mid 3rd Q the score was so lopsided,, that won't be the case this year with a lot of them wanting payback & seeing the weaknesses of this kid. North Carolina would have run us off the field after that close game we played them 2 seasons ago!!
Ga. didn't play that great a game,, it's that we played that bad of a game with every single claim I've made being a sad reality for that Saturday night opener. With just the smallest bit of accuracy & rhythm,, we could easily have pulled a win out if we had just a tad of cohesiveness in the offensive game,, it wasn't there sports fans!!
I love my Tigers & it hurts me saying the stuff I just did "but",, if Dabo doesn't quickly see some improvement in this kid he better start prepping Phomachanh or whoever to give us a chance to win. Our defense looked tight but they can only do so much carrying the team without some much needed offense to compliment it. I hate to say it "but" we could end up having the type of season Penn St. had last yr. when all pointed to them having a good year..
Ga. didn't play that great a game because they have FIVE 5-star players on offense out with injury. They beat Clemson 24-3 with a healthy offense.

Georgia is in big trouble. Maybe Clemson’s offense was bad, but that was mostly on an inexperienced QB. You guys have no shot of beating Bama, however Clemson and DJ have the ability to surpass most of the sec if given the opportunity and time to get better.

Maybe DJ needs to go or maybe it’s the OC, but the bulldogs will more than likely choke and at the end of the day, no matter how bad the season ends for Clemson, we’ll still have more NC’s.
@@mediocremillennial2606 Clemson has an elite defense, much better than Alabama’s defense this year. Dabo just doesn’t have a generational talent at QB anymore. He also refuses to bolster his offensive line and skill players with the transfer portal. Credit to Trevor Lawrence and Watson but Clemsons time is over if Dabo doesn’t get with the times. Also doesn’t help that his and Venables kids are taking up valuable roster spots….
This is definitely spoiled milk, Stetson Bennett has proven he can manage games and he was perfect in the auburn game. He is also quick and not afraid to run. Im not saying he is perfect by no means but he fits in perfect with the talent around him on georgias offense in Bowers(TE) and Mcintosh(WR). As far as ugas running game goes it is solid the running backs carry thier weight.
