I usually use Wing diver with lv103 Mag Blaster FDX, lv55 Plasma great cannon and lv115 Electromagnetic shaft 5L. Climb one of the tallest buildings, use lv115 electromagnetic shaft 5L to attack the ground and the huge hive then just keep shooting lv55 Plasma great cannon to eliminate all the enemies. This strategy is kind of risky since blue and brown king can climb up the building, attack you from behind and fry you in a second (so to avoid this you can keep jumping from one of the tallest buildings to the others.) I recommend this strategy since it takes less time to prepare and less stressful to complete the mission. You can even do this strategy with Fencer. Air Raider can do similar using the Depth Crawler or using the chopper (same in Ranger) Ranger and Air Raider will be more difficult than the other two since those spiders WILL climb the building and there is really no way of stopping them from killing you or escaping, just have to be lucky.
Hi. I already had a video of farming this mission with AR, and videos of each of the other classes finishing this mission. The best weapon for WD here is PGC, and it's the one I used on my published video. I do like Mag Blaster FDX, but here its range it's too short, as it's lower than the range of Blue Spider's shots. The problem here is that there's a huge difference between an efficient run for farming and a normal run to finish the mission. An efficient farming run will need to consider that if you go for the huge hive first, you'll have to pick the crates 3 times, or else you're wasting a ton of crates due to the map limit being reached at least 2 times. It's pointless to waste 1 hour or so on this mission and just pick a few weapon crates at the end. For that, there would be other more efficient missions on DLC 1. By far AR is the most efficient class to farm this mission, particularly using DLC 2 Blacker E11. That was my first farming video of this mission precisely because of that. Ranger is the second, as per this video, but he needs a few DLC 2 things. WD is the third class for farming here in efficiency, but she can do it without DLC weapons like AR, and the only DLC weapon that is useful is a better core (a video of her farming here is coming in the next few days). AR and Ranger have the huge bonus of the vehicles amor to survive, so unless you have a ton of armor with WD she's always the worst class because of that. Fencer is by far the worst class for farming this mission. Staying on top of the buildings with Fencer is extremely hard. He's the most powerful flyer, but he's not a precision flyer, and surviving on this mission on top of the buildings is a precision job. I tried it several times and just quit, because something stupid will always happen, and it's frustrating. That's why my Fencer run is with map laps like Ranger and AR, as it's gigantically safer and successful. But even with map laps, he's the worst here, and like with WD, DLC 2 weapons won't help much. I don't even have the class as good for it on the farming guide, and it's unlikely that will change. Climbing with AR and Ranger to the top of the buildings is mostly suicide, they're not good movers, and one blue will kill you in a sec. And the same problem will apply, not efficient runs. Farming this mission efficiently is completely a balance between picking all crates and milking all Kings spawns. Without that, it's a waste of time. Have fun,

GOD himself couldn’t tell how much time I spent trying to beat this mission on inferno. This mission literally takes this long regardless of what you have. I gained a new sense of hatred for those damn spiders on this mission.
For those thinking this is too hard and long, just remember that the lower missions will take around 15 mins and you'll get around 5 weapon crates, and surely less than 10. Just do your maths...
Doing M18 with 5k armor at Inferno feels like suicide. EDIT: I personally think M14 is a good alternative... if you're willing to take what you can get instead of grabbing everything. Though it requires DLC 2 weapons too - the Lysander ZF (for the blue wasps and the spiders and to snipe the aliens), M9 Raven (for everything else including the drones), and the ZE Blaster (GREAT for the flying drones). The map itself has 4 waves: brown and orange ants, drones and purple spiders, blue wasps and blue ants, and drones and unarmored cosmonauts. Keep the Combat Frames alive. Deploy at most one turret in the first wave as you spray the ants with your Raven, deploy the other two in the second wave to kill the drones while you focus on the spiders (or spray your Raven at the drones), use your Lysander to kill the blue wasps ASAP in the 3rd wave and save the turrets for the final wave. I know it's not too good farming-wise, but usually the spiders end up getting knocked back by the Combat Frames' rockets so you'll have extra time to grab what you can before the 3rd wave. EDIT 2: The same exact loadout can be used in M16.
@@IllusionistsBane Hi. This mission is not that hard once you've done it a few times. You can lower the difficulty considerably by going for the small hives first. But for farming, the key is your position and moving at the right time once the 3 big spawns happen. Yes, a single blue can trash your vehicle, but that doesn't happen all the time. The big advantage here is that enemies will stop coming and you can pick crates in peace. 1-14 is not that easy. To keep the combat frames alive you need to take risks, because if you stay near them the drones will crush them. Everything else will too. And picking crates on that one is a PITA. 1-16 is not easy for Ranger either. Mobility here is key since the blue bees can one shot you. And the drone and giant pillbug don't work well with the same loadout. Miserable number of crates.
@@cris3f The drones in the 2nd and 4th wave in 1-14? 3/4 ZE Blasters and spraying the Raven kills them surprisingly quickly. I snipe the red ants in the first wave before they get close, and snipe as many purple spiders as possible while the drones are dying from the turrets. A maxed-out Lysander ZF can kill the blue bees in one shot. Alternatively... a MR111 Fang? I haven't tested that, but I think it's going to be less comfy because you can't switch while it reloads. As for 1-16, the M9 Raven doesn't kill the giant pillbug fast. It pushes it away, and usually if it starts to roll away after you give it an extended spray, it takes a long time for it to try to attack you again. The giant drone takes 9/10 shots from the Lysander ZF. I also deploy the ZE Blasters immediately to help kill the drones and the smaller spiders (and deal damage to the king spider for a bonus), then reload them early in anticipation for the second wave with the giant red ant (which I snipe then spray at close range). There are only 5 (or 6?) blue wasps in the 1st wave and 6 in the 2nd wave.
@@IllusionistsBane The whole point of farming is finding a balance between ease and efficiency. However, for the last few upgrades you want to go for the missions that will yield more crates, and the highest the better. Neither 13, 14, 15 nor 16 provide many crates, and of the 4, 13 is the easiest, quickest and where you can get all crates in a small area. But 17 is the one that provides more crates, way more than even 18, although 18 is infinitely farmable, but will be a bore and will take a long time to yield crates in decent numbers (farming the last blue ants transport). But each player should farm the missions he enjoys, or think are the best. With some runs, 1-17 isn't all that hard, except for Fencer, and will only be easier with more armor (for WD, the others it's more irrelevant since they'll be on vehicles). It's the only mission in DLC 1 I farmed on, and with mission 37 on 2.

One question though: Is there any specific loadout you'd recommend for Fencer on this mission? I didn't see a vid for him. You'd think fencer would have an easy time on this, but that hasn't been the case for me. Missiles are a bit too easy to accidentally aggro hives. Shield/Spine driver sounds good on paper, but (relatively) close range vs a horde of blues usually meant easy death for me. I've had some luck with a Galleon Autocanon/Dynamo Blade plus dual Gallic Cannons, but I'm thinking you might have some better ideas. Again, thanks for all these vids :)
