    I think this is how change/evolution occurs.. not linearly, but in bursts, once a critical mass of energy towards the new paradigm/attractor is reached.

    I cannot count the amount of times I have watching this video. I can say this video might have changed my life over the years. It made me look at things I NEVER would have thought about before. I took my own time to look into some of these subjects, hell, even learn math on my own..the only thing I find is it gets weirder and weirder. It still blows my mind that the information here is still mostly up to date..it seems this topic is the end of the conceptualization of information..yet the evidence of what is talked about here grows with each year, being shown to be the foundation, intrinsically linked in micro/macro systems both physical and theoretical, irregardless of distance or size...truly makes the mind wonder.

    Wow. Solid gold. I miss the days of documentaries that actually _informed_ rather than dumbed you down. Many thanks for this upload.
    I just tried to upload a similar documentary from German TV and was immediately slammed with a copyright claim covering almost 1/2 its TRT, so the vid remains private for now.

    What do you call when you put in your mobile two sim cards from one and the same company and the network registers that you have two different networks. And when you put in your mobile two different sim cards from different companies and the registered network says your sim cards are from the same and one company.That is what I call Chaos Theory.

    You should really change the title to Chaos Documentary, so people will more easily find it. And it has great content too, these 50's to 80's documentaries have very smart ways of explaining things.

    To put it into perspective my 3 year old iPad I’m watching this on at 2Ghz CPU is doing 2 billion cycles a second, this doesn’t equate to exactly what they are doing in the first four minutes, but it just shows how far and amazing technology has come. And with our current day petaflop super computers, we still get the weather wrong.

    I'm failing to understand the link between the Chaos Theory and fractal geometry

    • @colenelson443
      @colenelson443 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The fractal geometry is simply a visual representation mathematically what is going on. If you were to take the "data", like the chart shown early on, and punch it into numbers on a 3 dimensional plane (like an axis graph) you would get patterns deciphered like this...the computers basically use the data to replicate what is happening on the television screen at 12:20.
      The image at 12:20 is a "real" example of what is being discussed, the geometry of those images are important when you start to talk about micro systems like particles and quantum physics..the interesting part of it all...is that when you punch those numbers in a computer..you get a pseudo like quasi state of a "form" always ready to respond to ANY change/observation you make to it, yet the rules in which the shapes are formed are seen in things from seashells, food, brain structure, galactic gravity pulls, star formation, proton rotation, photon observation...It is sort of like the thought experiment of "if there was an edge of the universe and you got to it..is there a barrier? If there is can you go over it? If there isn't can you just go on? If you can just go on it isn't the end so is it infinite?"
      The part @ 16:00 talks about a "strange attractor" It is described as "snow in the Sahara, lave in the ocean..it can happen..but not for long". It is like looking at the edge of the universe and seeing a mathematical pattern that unfolds to create things as you move through it..only existing is reaction..not before you arrive...similar to the Gold Slit experiment with photons and the wave/particle functions. There seems to be an underlying stew, waiting to react with observation or conditions met..yet when we look closer at it..it does nothing but extend and repeat.

  • @ahmedibrahimhassanhajiali
    @ahmedibrahimhassanhajiali 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Very interesting explanation, yet why the worry about the chaos theory aftermath like the changed weather now occurring in unprecedented unpredictably. Humans negative thinking brain do not accept the Wise Provider who do propose and dispose GOD owns the census and the source of everything in this globe.

    • @ahmedibrahimhassanhajiali
      @ahmedibrahimhassanhajiali 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is self organizing system, but it is set on controlled formula by the wise Creator who manipulates as He wish. So any person who forgets to pray GOD to ask for His Assistance during natural catastrophic disaster is blindly obstinate because GOD who built the global Earth's structure manages its function. Like wise when people send unmanned drones to the skyline to fulfil missions, or send space rockets to the Moon they manipulate their gadgets and control the function of what they made by self organizing system.

    • @ahmedibrahimhassanhajiali
      @ahmedibrahimhassanhajiali 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No event or incident happening in this world has an stable or unchanging condition in every aspect. Like wise our believes have up and down evaluation. Any person who sees that his faith in GOD is weakened, he should wait until a period for sure it will be restored and preserved.

    Anyone know of the bbc documentary fronted by Steven Berkoff about chaos?

  • @onsami1
    @onsami1 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    A different perspective on us drawing the straight lines in chaos, when chaos are random, why do we want the "straight lines"? Why do we need to interfere with random as such, as to say we now control the whole of creation? A better option is still to co exist with nature and creation. We need a random universe.

    • @pbpism
      @pbpism  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't see it as interfering, it's about understanding how something works and to use that knowledge in a practical way, like predicting the weather. I think that's just human nature.

      They are talking about predicting the weather not climate. The climate is partly chaotic and that has been factored into climate models predicting the effect of input heat into the system. But yes we may see runway events and the effects of global warming may be more severe and faster than predicted.
