Amazing coping skills. I will definitely use this when in the public and the hatred spews about me being trans. Most of the time I ignore but there are times I just look at the person.

Today I helped follow up my classmates to pay for our class contributions asking one what time she'll be paying her part. She responded negatively and attacked me for something she thought I lacked in a group project. I got confused but still apologized that I may have seemed offensive to her.
People have different perspectives of things. It would be tiring to be imposing our beliefs on them. Just go through it a bit then move on.
As the speaker said, she was telling me about her world.

One year there was a blizzard and my son wanted a pizza for Christmas- my boy got his pizza. The only thing I can relate to is the childhood trauma in this story. My mother also allowed our dad to do this kind of selfish feel sorry for himself 💩

@@j-life8502 : thank you- Happy New Year to you as well. I did understand the story from a child’s perspective, with a dad with similar reactions to providing for his family and the guilt trip that came with buying groceries. ‘If I have to suffer to feed you then so do you’ was the message. Blessings to you and yours.

@@porkchawpshandappleshash789you’re illustrating what he’s sharing in the video, without complete awareness of yourself doing that!
You are projecting your pain, and it is the filter for how you hear his story. If you didn’t have that pain/trauma, you would hear the story differently.
Our perceptions of most things are based in past pain/experiences. When we have healed and can be present, we have less of an emotional multi charged filter covering our ears/eyes/hearts…and can see other’s realities clearer
