Love this video.. no lectures, no opinions, just provided the exact experience of using this wonderful phone. I am going on 6 months and still love it.
I have the LP2 and the texting experience is terrible. Yes, voice to text is nice, but it's also nice to not have to speak your texts all the time. Also, voice to text oftentimes gets the punctuation wrong. If you try to edit your voice to text, it's very difficult with the touchscreen. Overall, the touchscreen is bad, and makes navigating the phone difficult along with texting. The Light Phone is a phone that cries out for physical buttons. I am considering going over to the Sunbeam F1.
This stands out as the most informative review of this phone. There are dozens of sit down videos that carefully explain features one by one, but this seems to answer all the important questions in the realest way possible. We really just want to know what it will be like every day using this phone and this really does a great job of plainly displaying that. Thank YOU and well done.👍

I originally went to smartphones during the later days of Blackberry (mid-late 2000s) specifically to simplify my life. A device that put a digital camera, GPS, MP3, calendar/other productivity tools WAS simplification at a time when each of those things was a separate device. It made my life a lot easier because I actually used those things. Then, slowly, social media took over, the doom scroll evolved, and suddenly I find that this tool that once helped me so much now drains me. The thing is, I don't want to completely digitally disconnect, I just don't want it immediately at hand. I want the old days of digital convenience back where I had simple tools at hand but still needed to make a point to go to my computer to do anything more. This phone is so close to what I actually want, but two things are missing before I could make the switch: first, I NEED a calendar. Not having a calendar is 100% a nonstarter for me. A camera is also very important to me and I know it's a much more complicated ask, but I just want one. Part of the joy I get from experiencing something is documenting it and having a record to revisit, and I don't want to re-clutter my life with an extra device. I don't know enough about eink to know if that's feasible, but I feel like I've seen relatively recent displays with some decent black and white displays. I'm sold as soon as I can get those things.

1More wired buds work perfectly for both music and calls. Wireless buds are tricky. Company admitted to me they haven't done a good job vetting out best compatibility. My Samsung Live buds had the same distortion as your Apple buds. Had other problems with them so I traded in and upgraded to Samsung Buds Pro. Excellent with music; acceptable on calls but still not as good as the 1More Dual Driver wired buds..
It's a very cool device and the map seems at least usable although I don't know just from this video if it's at leatt comparable to google maps. What's truly missing for me unfortunately is WhatsApp and Telegram... @@civilianfrfr true, but I didn't seem to have any problems with mine and the Light Phone.
Are maps google maps based???
They are not.
@@Lessification what are they then..
Perfect video!
Thank you!!
MFA would be the only thing stopping me trying one of these.
What is MFA?
@@Lessification multi factor authentication
ngl the phone seems hella slow. love the review tho, are you still using it?
Thank you! I am not, I did this instead th-cam.com/video/NU7G55FSJzI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=xlurEBIfXeA34toH
It's a very cool device and the map seems at least usable although I don't know just from this video if it's at leatt comparable to google maps. What's truly missing for me unfortunately is WhatsApp and Telegram... I didn't even have data until 2019 so I clearly remembered the days of not having access to the most used messaging app and maps outside my home and how unconvinient it was. Maybe I should just root my regular phone and get rid of social media
I hear you which is why I made a video on how to turn an iPhone into a light phone so you could still use your messaging apps

What song is that
It’s posted in the video description ☝🏻
thank you I'm getting mine on in 2 days
Let me know!
I would totally buy this phone, but it’s $300, and I could get a quality dumb phone for $40.
You’re not wrong
What case is that?
Should be in the video description!
Song?

What do you call these types of videos?
Like the style of this video? “Show don’t tell”
though i admire this phone, for the price I'd just get a Nokia feature phone like the 105 4G. well of course it doesn't even have navigation nor bluetooth music, reducing even more on what can be done with it.
👍🏻
Love it, too bad my work requires a chatting app.
