Jimin's Filter is Iconic. I remember how everybody was shocked by his dancing and quick changing 🥰🥰🥰🤩🤩 That was marvelous.
Jimin was supposed to do the quick change during the MOTS world tour and he actually practiced with another outfit underneath and was able to do the quick change. Since the tour was canceled, there are just two performances of Filter from online concerts and since these were prerecorded, they decided to go without the actual quick change to make the outfit look lighter and just edited the change from two recordings, because there was no point to actually do it in the prerecording and make the outfit look worse than it could be
This!! Why is it so hard for some armys to understand this? It doesn't belittle Jimin's ability or talent
He said he couldn't really pull it off in the time and the layered outfit was really hard to dance in. I'm sure he would have modified the performance to do it live and still wow us, but I love this version too.

This is my fav jimin' s songs..Being an army for 6 years still I can't understand jimin..he is such a mysterious and interesting person in the group..he seems like a open book but he only let us know what he want us to know.. he have insane duality..very talented, hardworking, caring and gentle person
He's really very private, but people don't notice because he's so warm and kind. He seems open (and he's sincere!), he's just very deliberate about what he shares. This isn't a criticism! I admire him so much. 💜

13:23 - yes, it's jimin! his low register is actually pretty impressive considering how high his voice is. another performance where he visits his lower register that pops into my head is ''no more dream'' from this same concert (MOTS ON:E)!
14:26 - extremely valid, same honestly
14:49 - it was pre-recorded! he did it in real time during rehearsals but the timing didn't feel right and the layers for these specific outfits were too uncomfortable to dance in so they changed their plans. he had practiced it for the MOTS tour too but it unfortunately got cancelled due to covid so we never got the chance to see it live :(

Filter is a darker song about fans projections of Jimin. "we can become a new us", "i can be whatever you want" it's saying how people project and imagine different versions of him that aren't even real and often do. I love how he used sensuality which is something fans often tend to associate with him and sometimes not understand his depth to play one of the images. Even the fact that people see it as sexy song and not a darker one shows his point haha. He's really so intelligent
I think it has some interesting layers - because it's a commentary on how people see him as they want to, but he's claiming it as his own source of power. And winking a little while he does it, there's a bit of playfulness in there too.
I agree with you that there's a much darker layer than most people see, I just think he's also responding to that darkness in a really strong way. Which I really love 💜
One hand says “Illecebra” which is Latin for alluring/enticing…His other hand says “Arcanus” which is mysterious or hidden. Illecebra is in feminine form and Arcanus is masculine. There are some much deeper explanations online of but most I’ve seen take away the idea that Jimin seems to be embracing and wanting to show both his masculine and feminine sides. His duality is always perfection🔥🤌🏼
I remember watching this live and my jaw was on the floor. It also happened to come on right after My Time so between the two amazing performances, we were all collectively having an aneurism I think 😅💜 Happy Jimin week!!

I think you guys are referring to this dance part shown of Jimin in the RED outfit on day 1 of this online concert in The Taylor Video. Not the Jungkook My Time performance. There is actually a behind the scene video of BTS preparing for this online concert and you can see how Jimin actually did this quick change.😊
It's not how he actually did it, but how he intended to do it, but at the end of that rehearsal he says it was too hard to dance with many layers and then the crew and Jin himself told him to pre record it since it's going to be online anyway, which doesn't mean he didn't sing live, just that it was two takes instead of one
It was definitely pre recorded. He said the layered clothes were too hot and heavy and he couldn’t successfully change in the limited time. It was all in the behind the scenes footage. Her filmed it in two takes. There was vision of the boys watching the pre recorded song backstage while they were getting ready for the next song. Hobi and JK mimicked his dance moves and when Hobi praised him and went for a high five Tae put his hand up to block it so Jimin kissed Tae’s hand. That’s a well known scene from backstage.
when i first SAW this song for the first time...i used to watch this video EVERY.SINGLE.NIGHT for 3-4 weeks straight. It was like a drug to me at that time, without filter, without serendipity I was not able to sleep. That much effect FILTER JIMIN had on me. I am glad you guys finally watched my obsession.😅

Jimin dances with so much emotion. You can tell this song is very personal to him. I love all his filters and love the real version(s) of him, too. The dance move that you saw before was in his dance to Lie.
In the part where Jimin changes his clothes there was a cut, you can see that it was pre recorded in their behind the scenes because this was an online concert and they recorded some of the songs or at least parts of it before the online concert

Still in the intro do i don't know which day performance you saw, but on the day1 the change is sooo good!! Because he goes from a complete different outfit to another like it's amazing, unfortunately it was an online concert so no audience and Jimin couldn't do the change live because it was very hard so this performance was pre-recorded!!!

The camera work on the red suit version is incredibly bad. Jimin is brilliant, but the video is pretty painful to watch. They cut his head off at times 🤣 I'm really glad they watched this one
this was an online concert so there were multiple povs that were live streamed. that's why you sometimes see the camera guys passing through. like when we were watching live online, we could see all the angles. what you are seeing in these videos are only one of the pov. so you are missing a lotta footwork that was in the main pov. but its ok,,,, still its amazing.💜

I recently re watched BTS in the soop..where I noticed all the members were given opportunity to choose to play different games and jimin selected only to play table tennis ...while other members playing different games with each other ,jimin only concentrated to play table tennis alone ...from morning till night he only played the same game with different members without taking much break..I realise their how dedicated and hardworker he is.. The fact I saw the online concert with this performance live with my best friend - it changed me, honestly.
This song and its performance is one of my favourites partly because he plays around with gender expression, too and I (being agender) appreciate that a lot.....but also the song’s simply a banger and makes me want to dance immediately.

I remember watching him practice with the other clothes layered and he said he couldn’t dance bc they were too heavy and then he couldn’t get all the layers off in time so his two solo performances from each day were the only prerecorded ones of the live online concert. Mots is a lot of fun and thinking of them doing all that live… it’s wild. Bc it was supposed to be for their world tour that got canceled and it would be our first time with a lot of the songs and performances… they added a lot of different visual elements and special extra showman kinda things bc it was all online…. It’s pretty epic

This part was pre recorded. This was during the pandemic where they did a concert online There's a practice video on this where they showed he was wearing layers of clothing to do the transition but it turned out to be very heavy so it was decided to do a pre cut pre recorded version of the song. Still it was so clean and amazing how they did that. Jimin is always so original when it comes to coming up with concepts. Happy birthday to the most versatile artist.
