I finally 100% completed this game last night after getting it at launch. I had never been to arthurs grave before and I damn near shed a tear. I stayed past sunset and just kneeled by his grave for most of the night taking in the beautiful atmosphere thinking about everything I'd done in this game
How to get 100% i really want to do this scene??!
despite of how high the honor Arthur has back then, the version of Unshaken that played when you reached 100% completion, is still the Low Honor ending version..
That sounds like the high honor version. The low honor one is sadder and has more strings instruments in it.

I'm at Chapter 6 before getting the diagnosis with the doctor. I really don't wanna progress any further than that since right now I have the Unwell state which drains the cores by 5%. So somewhat healthy and could get a lot done in my compendium and challenges.
AVXSVT_Cobra Wait how have you not got the diagnosis yet even though you’re in chapter 6? Is it optional?
The mission that you get the diagnosis from is triggered when Saide ask you to go to the Saloon in Saint Denis. There's an invisible circle around her Mission icon and if you get near it it triggers "A fork in the road" which is were Arthur gets diagnosed. It's 2 missions in Chapter 6 so it's very early.
I kind of have to wonder about Arthur Morgan when he died. Like when the Pinkertons found his body and Susan's I would imagine they brought it in to confirm it then gave them a simple grave somewhere. I doubt they would've left their bodies there to the elements given how there wouldn't be anything left for Charles to bury.
But the main thing I wonder if Arthur's Grave is on a mountain with solid rock all the way around. So perhaps Arthur really isn't in that grave and its just a cenotaph.
Of course I'm just overthinking things here though.

no games have EVER impacted me on such a scale before. red dead redemption 1 and 2 are without a doubt 2 of the greatest games of all time

I just finished 100% and made sure that the last thing I did was find Arthur's grave. I had never seen this video before that. I kinda thought that's how the writers would want me to finish it out. Turns out I was right. Only a game of this caliber can make its completion like the parting of a friend. Amazing.

I think it would've been cool if John put the journal down by Arthur's grave. 100 percent completion you don't need it anymore and it would explain why John doesn't have it in Red Dead 1
I'm at 98.2% I have 3/4 robberies. I've done the stagecoach, shop, and train robberies. So the only one left would be the home robbery. I've robbed at least two houses were I point my gun at the person in the house and they've given me money. But it still says 3/4 robberies. Is this happening to anyone else and if so how do I fix it?
I got 100% just today, that was my last thing too. Rob a shops side-business. That's most likely what you're missing.
During the earlier chapters you can do the optional side missions for characters in camp. I think the first one was with Javier in chapter 2... try check if you can replay the mission for it. Otherwise you’re in trouble I’d say

I would say best thing to do, is just do all again but in freemode. No missions. I was wondering the same, but non of the train robbery missions count against that
I'm having this exact same problem it's extremely confusing because I know I've done these robberies yet I'm still at 3/4 robberies

@Ivan if your Health, Stamina, and Deadeye levels are capped at 8 and all challenges are done you should be able to buy all the Reinforced Equipment you need from the nearest Trapper Store, it gives you those extra bonuses you need to break the level 8 cap.

You can. Complete everything before Chapter 4 by starting from Chapter 2 LOTE challenges (Bandit 6th challenge is only available after Horse Flesh for Dinner), craft LOTE satchel, collect everything in non-restricted world (there's 22 bones, 36/37 herbs (37th can be gathered at the ghost girl in the swamp), 10 Legendary fishes (10th is available with Kieran during fishing), all secret weapons, gangs and encounters.
For the rest of LOTE challenges, 8 bones, 5/6 herbs, 3 horses for Horseman 10, Otis Revolver, Del Lobo hideouts you need to glitch in Chapter 4 (New Austin) mission.
The rest you'd get with John without even getting most of the stuffs tied 100% with him (some like visiting graves and others requires it with Johnbut bigger parts you can complete with Arthur).
That's what i'm doing currently, likewise i did with John in RDR and completed Marshal outfit & finding Edgar mission with Jack.

If you want to play with Arthur, reload the save from the Chapter 6 and play with him.

By the time you complete most of the stuffs with Arthur, you'll already hit 100% with John.
You'll play next time with Arthur when RDR3 comes out.
For now complete everything with Arthur and stop abusing others with your childish subjective responses treating it as the fact (or mod when be on PC).

Even though it’ll take a while, someone needs to make a guide on how to 100% the game, because if i’m not mistaken, there’s a lot of missable stuff to do in the game
no missable stuff except a few trophies, nothing missable to get 100%
HarryNinetyFour theres missable weapons and strangers especially for people just wanting to complete and story and nothing else, like when you go to the second saloon in valentine you are required to take pictures of old outlaws and they have unique guns on their person, if you miss that questline then you don’t get those guns therefore missing weapons arthur/john could get which are also required for 100% since they are unique

I just finished playing it and not only is one of the best video game ever made but one of the best piece of entertainment of the 21st century, I'm truly grateful that I got to play this masterpiece. That ending is something that I'm never going to forget.

I just got it now, it was grind mostly on the hunter, horseman challenge and the exotics. The rest was fairly easy to get
@@armandbireaud9281 Exotics were boring as hell, it's was just too tedious, the same for the hunting requests stuff that was also lame. The challenges weren't too bad apart from herbalist it kinda took the piss how they make us get a ton of herbs then give us a challenge to find all the herbs..
That was one of my few gripes with the game. You spend the entire game doing something, then you unlock a challenge asking you to do that thing all over again.
@@tylerk11111 Yeah to be honest it just felt like a lazy way of making the game seem like it takes longer to complete. Not much of the stuff was fun to do. They really ruined it for me I actually haven't played the game for 2 days since getting 100% It was a relief to finally finish, no game should make you happy you've finished. It left me with a bad taste in my mouth unfortunately. They have an amazing story but ruined it by added boring stuff to do after.. I was going to do all the animals studied and skinned. i only need 3 more but I've been reading comments how it can take hours to get these animals to spawn and I genuinely just cba to do it so I may revisit some time in the future but not now I can't see me playing the single player for along time. I'll wait until the online comes out now.
My good friend Mark suddenly passed away 3 weeks ago from an undiagnosed illness after he lived in Japan for a few years. Before he passed away, I promised to him that I would save the money to live in Japan and spend good time together. Once I fulfill my promise to him in the future, I will reminisce to this video.

The last time John would ever mention Arthur....
This scene makes me want to cry, but not just because it’s John bidding farewell to Arthur. John stating that “we’re just about done here, my friend” also feels like Rockstar addressing players, signifying that the story of John Marston and the van der Linde gang is at an end. I believe that someday we’ll get a new Red Dead game, but it’s clear that it won’t be about John, Arthur, Dutch or anyone from the gang that survived. Their story is done; this is over.
Uhhh rdr1 takes place after Rdr2....... Johns story isnt over atleast timeline wise. But real life wise yeah i understand because rdr2 is the last game. And also you are 100% right thoae people u listed cant possibly have games about them and the point of rdr1 is that the cowboy era is over which is exactly why rdr2 takes place after rdr1 because the only option is to go back in time. The Red Dead Series is over im afraid.

how the hell did you do all the challenges? the gambling one and the last horseman one are nuts!
Last horseman is easy just play the game as normal and you'll come across then naturally apart from the Mustang. as for gambling challenges 8 and 9 I dreaded them after reading comments by people saying it took them 8 hours per challenge I had so much luck and got them both done within 2 hours.
The last horseman took me about 20 minutes, the annoying ones are herbalist and hunter like finding an opossum took me 2 hours
The gambling one is easy if you get everyone but 1 person to bust out at a table. At that point you should have more money then the last person and just keep betting more money then he has and he should fold everytime, i have the best luck at the poker table at rhodes

I get it we all miss Arthur, but guys let’s not forget that John is equally good! They both are amazing characters, as a matter of fact John is a legend!
It's wild thinking about how this is one of the most "real" huge games I've ever experienced for a while, maybe even at all. Almost all of the characters are about as human as could be when it matters, you feel actual gain and loss when it happens, I find myself immersed deeply into the world every time I play the story. It really is a Hell of a journey.
Didn't have to be long or drawn out, just short and sweet. This game is a masterpiece in every aspect.
This is actually the first game I have ever started a second playthrough for the sole purpose of trying to get 100% conpletion. Absolutely amazing.

I got off of school, (my last day until summer) and said goodbye to all my dearest friends ive had for more than 5 years. And i kinda quoted this scene, "its been a journey, and i guess were just about done" ill be moving away, far away from all of them and its kinda sad, like this scene of course. Undead Nightmare 2 can be Arthur rising up from the grave, along with other dead gang members. John would have to kill say Hosea, Micah, Lenny, and Miss Grimshaw (lol) until he gets to Arthur. They fight on the same cliff that Arthur died on and John buries him once more.

Been playing the game for months but been stuck on 94% for AGES cause some challenges are hard and I legit can’t even find HALF of all the animals in the game yet and I tried so hard to find different ones. I didn’t wanna look at this cutscene for spoilers but I give up lmao😂😐all of this pain and suffering and emotional damage for a cutscene that lasts 10 seconds. No thx💀

I didn't have any desire to play after Arthur died. I left it for a day before continuing but still felt meh. It wasn't until Sadie mentioned Micah where I was like yesssssss haha.
@@bonesjones3915 My feelings exactly. It almost felt like they wanted to quickly end Arthur's part and just get us back to John after so many years.
It felt kind of insulting that the game barely gives you any time to mourn Arthur before it just throws you to John like 7 years later, and there's no mention of Arthur for quite a few missions. Didn't like that.
Bulletproof222 quickly nothing lol. It took over a month to finish Arthur’s story. While I would have loved to of had more time with him, I do appreciate the fact that they set up John the way they did. I never got to play the first game so if I do, I kind of have an idea of the events that led up to his story now.

Arthur crawls over to the edge of the cliff (good ending) and props himself up. From that moment it's almost exactly 1 minute and 30 seconds until "Some years later" appears on screen, and we cut to John and Abigail having an argument over John shooting someone.
It goes from a heartbreaking scene of the character you just spent tens of hours with, dying alone on a mountain after being betrayed by the man he dedicated his life to, to John and Abigail having a humorous little argument about how John can't kick old habits, in 1 minute and 30 seconds. That's a jarring change of tone in a confusingly small amount of time.
That's what I mean by "quickly".

For 100% completion they should of done a longer cutscene where John gives Arthur a long heartfelt speech
The game: "Congrats on grinding for months! Now you get to walk the entirety of the map back to your horse!"
