According to the Detail Geek's site, he currently charges $200 CAD (about $160 USD) to detail a car. Local detailers where my family lives in the US (metro Atlanta) charge $350-400 to detail a car, usually at the higher end of that spectrum. Given that the Detail Geek is charging less than half as much as American detailers, his work is really worth every penny, but as far as detail work is concerned, his work isn't that expensive. ;)
This is one of my favorite transformations you've done, and glad you included the customer's grateful reaction. It makes sense that someone who works with animals would be one of your most appreciative customers. You worked a miracle here! Your customer loves his truck even more. p.s. Farrier videos on youtube are fascinating to watch--and I don't even own a horse.
I am enjoying watching you do magic. On a personal note: After being a cleaner myself for 35yrs. I recommend two things for you. When you clean mats, etc. you are doing a lot of bending. It would help if you clean everything on a waist high work station. Second thought... really good quality knee pads for when you are vacuuming the vehicles. Protect your body so you can continue to do such totally amazing work.

Great job! A little advice, get a saddle type bench or even sawhorse to lay floor mats on, it will save your back later on. It may not bother you now, but in a few years it probably will! Some flat steel/metal ramps (the ones with all the slots or holes in them) used as a bench top would be perfect across 2 saw horses, for a temporary gig!

What do you recommend to buy/use on a budget that will still do a good job? 10:50 have you ever thought about using or buying a wider vaccuum hose attachment for wider areas? Just seems like it would cut down some time if you used one for the wider areas then switched to the thinner one you are using now for tighter areas.

Hi detail geek! I am 14 and I love to clean cars (weird obsession right?). I have vacuumed many cars and want to step up my game to charge more money. What do you recommend to buy/use on a budget that will still do a good job? I am not looking for things like steamers and extractors but more like things to clean trim, plastics, etc. I really enjoy your videos and you inspire me to be thorough and to do anything to the best of my ability. 10:50 have you ever thought about using or buying a wider vaccuum hose attachment for wider areas? Just seems like it would cut down some time if you used one for the wider areas then switched to the thinner one you are using now for tighter areas.
