  • Hi and welcome to my second video!
    It has finally come time to service my Audi A4 - and that means to change engine air and oil filter as well as the interior pollen filter.
    As you noticed all filters are from MANN-Filter company, but that is only for aesthetics, ha!
    There are no sponsorships in this video. I just chose MANN-Filter for their reasonable price/quality.
    Here are the parts I used as reference that you can use for your own Audi B8/B8.5 2.0 TDI CAGA/CJCA projects:
    1. Oil - Castrol 5W30 EDGE TITAIUM FST LL 5L
    2. Oil Filter - MANN-FILTER HU7008z
    3. Engine Air Filter - MANN-FILTER C32130
    4. Pollen Filter - MANN-FILTER FP 2450 (I got the one with Activated carbon, you can use a more simple filter)
    Don't forget to subscribe and push that Like button.
    See you all next time...

    *B8.5. And I think the best looking A4 Audi has ever made.

    Small tip mate, before changing the engine oil, just turn the engine for 10 minutes with oil changer cleaner, than drain 😉 it doesn't make a big difference but if there is some micro rubbish it will clean it, but if you keep forgetting from a micro it can turn to big so keep that in mind

      Yep.. A5 and Q5 share the same platform. Should be the same engines. Good luck.

      Be careful! This is not a guide for TFSI engine. There must be differences when changing oil between 2.0 TDI (diesel) and TFSI (petrol/gas) engines.

    Nice vid, mate... About to tackle my oil change as well... you'd do well to consider an afe pro dry S air filter for the engineas it's washable and makes my B8.5 A4 breathe better with the added benefit of hearing more of the turbo...
    And damn, that's a nice driveway bro 👍
    Cheers

    • @ainarsvinks
      @ainarsvinks  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! Yes you should definitely change the washer. It will be crushed when tightening the plug and seal the plug/hole in the process. If you use the old one, there is a chance that the oil can sip out. You will feel the first higher tightening torque when you start crushing the washer, but thats normal. After that it will get a bit easier to tighten till you actually “hit” the oil pan. From there you should tighten by the torque specified.

    Having the usr of a out makes it so much easier to change the oil.

    How long do you own this car? Does it use oil?

    • @ainarsvinks
      @ainarsvinks  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have this car for 4 years. My A4 has a small oil leak from one of the crankshaft seals that I haven’t fixed yet - i’m waiting when I have to change the timing belt to fix the seal all together. So I can’t tell if it is normal that it burns a bit oil. Well for one thing I haven’t seen any VAG TDi engines which don’t consume a bit oil.

    Good vid. So which oil filter goes to cagc engine? One with the plastic stick on bottom or without?

    • @ainarsvinks
      @ainarsvinks  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I will give you an info about that tomorrow. I have to update the catalog database. As I can see in e-shops there is some problem with the correct filter. One is with the plastic stick inside the filter, but another suggests to use the same as mine - without. Even the same shop has both of those options stated for cagc... haha.

    What about resetting the service light?

    • @ainarsvinks
      @ainarsvinks  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can only do it with an OBD scanner/tool. Didn't have it at hand when filming the video. I believe you can reset the oil change interval in the MMI, but not the service interval.

    • @ainarsvinks

    Hi. What is the oil capacity of this engine? How many liters?

    • @ainarsvinks
      @ainarsvinks  ปีที่แล้ว

      For this engine (cjca) it is 5 liters. If it is caga or other diesel engines from prefacelift, it could be less. You have to check somewhere.

    What about fuel filter ? Where is it ?

    • @ainarsvinks
      @ainarsvinks  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I didn't change the fuel filter. The filter I believe is located underneath the car very close to the left side's skirt. There should be a metal cover protecting the filter and hoses.
      After the fuel filter change you MUST connect to the car's ECU and tell the fuel tank pump to run for a while. That is needed because the filter and the high pressure pump will be empty - they need to be filled with fuel before starting up the engine or else you will be risking in damaging the high pressure pump.

      @@ainarsvinks In my 2011 A4 B8 right hand drive, the filter lives in the underside of the car around where the driver seat is located. Some dirt panels must be removed before it can be accessed.

    • @ainarsvinks
      @ainarsvinks  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@michalopaleny9553 that is an engine type/model. If its 2.0tdi, then still it can have variants. For example different horsepower, different oil filters, etc.. Your car doesn't have cjca engine, but that is kinda good, because you should have an oil measuring stick. You can fill the oil 4l at start, then measure with the stick. I don't have such luxury. Only way I can tell the oil level is through mmi display.

      @@michalopaleny9553 so does your audi have a oil stick? I also read that, but I have to be extremely cautious about which stick exactly to buy. From caga engine thr stick is a bit too long.
