Adrian Clarke is a really good insightful pundit on the Championship who actually knows what he's talking about.
Geeza in the middle looks like he's wearing a Bo-Selecta mask with those glasses...
I can't un-see it
😂😂😂 I thought you were talking about Jim but then Craig David popped up 😂😂.
Hahaha
😂😂
bet rooney wish he could have a rewind after going with that granny all them years ago
Neither can I now you've opened my eyes!!
"Oh me grapes..."
Adrian definitely cut his breakfast on a mirror today
looks wired
Simon says he failed at Crystal Palace because he ran out of money and there was a global financial crisis. If someone else had those circumstances he'd say those are excuses
It was a once in a generation financial collapse, not sure anyone should have been able to predict banks would go under and it’d be impossible to get credit. This is a dumb criticism of Simon, there’s plenty of legit critique
@@MinisterManDan Yeah, that's why so many other clubs almost went into administration during that time too. Oh wait....
@MinisterManDan he didn't have billions to spend and a got tham promoted, more then your motor mouth will ever do in a million lifetimes nd he made his own money, didn't use other ppls money either, get a grip or a life or both 🤔 😂😂
Plymouth just got WALLOPED 4 - 0 away to Sheffield Wednesday today so watch Simon have a FIELD DAY on Monday!!
I hope Rooney does well and I’m a Leeds fan!
me too but doesn't look good. Tottenham fan
Imagine appointing Shrek as your manager
Plus Donkey as his assistant
Super Elite Simon = Top LAD Proper Clobber 💯 Facts
People are all to quick to point out Wayne’s negatives, but let’s not forget the positives! Plymouth would be the first he’s sighed the players he wants to bring in pre season, plus Rooney can attract bigger and better players than plymouth could attract on their budget and location because of name name value. Let’s give him a chance it’s unfair to harshly criticise a head coach before they’ve managed a competitive match! 💚
What the hell is a EFL expert. Does he get the promotion and relegation of every league right or something.
Nope, s/he knows the best grounds for a cuppa, a pie and quality of the match day program, and in the EFL those very attributes are essential to a team's promotion or relegation.
That philosophy and ideology that got Plymouth Argyle in the Championship in the first place from the depths of league 2, It might not of worked at a number of other clubs but it works for others.
He’s right.
I think Rooney should manage England, the players would love him.
I think throw Sunderland into the mix for promotion. Interesting head coach and decent players.
I think Simon Jordan is very clever and great for the show but definitely has something against Rooney 😂 always going after him.
Well he hasn’t got a very good track record since he started in management, derby was unfortunate but as a blues supporter he massively declined our season through lies of expectation.
Hes gutted a council estate lad is worth far more than him.
@@paulos1878 lol yeah, maybe that's it.
but......................I reckon he will do well at Plymouth to start with. I predict they win first 5 League games. Then end up 16th at Xmas.
He's not that clever, he's always so busy trying to sound clever that he regularly mixes up words and uses words out of context. So pretentious. Also, a truly wise man says less, not more.
Just remembered, when Gabbie mentioned Van Nistelrooy, that he was the manager at PSV recently. He'll probably step in when Ten Hag "Ten Hags".
The expectation on managers in this day and age are ridiculous. Wayne is in the process of learning his trade. I admire his desire to keep going! to keep taking the jobs that challenge him and allow him time to master his craft! Not every manager can be a Mourinho or a Guardiola! he's a young manager, trying to put his experience of the game into practice and Simon Jordan constantly puts this man down for doing this! What managers are out there? The game is constantly evolving! There's 20+ teams in each league across all divisions and wayne has been at the top of the game for many years and retired at derby county! He took on a team where the the fault of the club got them a huge points deduction and got relegated but gave his best! He then went to DC united where the conditions were different to what he knew as a player but tried! He went to Birmingham whose board sacked a manager that had got them to 6th place in the league... that will always be baffling but it tells you about the structure and mentality of the club, a club which Wayne accepted the job for... they went to him!! it's not his fault the structure was bad! But should he get a club that can back him... that can provide him with a solid foundation and good players... I think it's only a matter of time before he gets it right and then when he does, Simon Jordan will have to eat his own words!! He's an idiot and a hypocrite and warrants no place in the footballing world where he was simply just an owner... never played, never managed! what right has he got to put down people who are trying to learn on the job? there's course? there's no route 1!!! it's just go and try and see if you can make it happen!
never thought i would see gabby and simon sat in the same room.
Why does Adrian Clarke remind me of Bo Selecta in this video 😂
Rooney has relegated derby and Birmingham missed the playoffs in the MLS his highest win percentage is 28%. He only got the job because of who he is he will be the first manager sacked.
Rooney didn’t relegate Birmingham ,he left in feb .COYGs
@vwcoco he took them from 6th to the relegation zone where they couldnt recover 🤣
This video starts with Simon yawning 😂😂
And how dose matey see out of those glasses they are so dirty or steamed up 😂
Plymouth will suprise alot of people !!!!
I really hope they do
The only surprise will be if they stay up!
That loss had nothing to do with Rooney, that was all the players.
So positive Simon 😂😂
I beg your pardon simon, rooney is a phenomenal manager. Just look at his teams result today
I never remember him playing for Arsenal
One thing he will do is give his all every single day to try and make the team better, unlike Simon who failed once and gave up, and to be fair he's failing in his current job at talk sport aswel. Literally trying to go viral with outlandish comments every day
What do we think the problem is with Rooney? For me I think it's communication. His heart is in the right place, but he doesn't seem to be the best at communicating, which is the essence of management
Rooney's place is at Old Trafford barking drills at their youth squad
As a Plymouth fan Simon makes a very valid argument Rooneys record is poor and it is a risk giving him this chance but argyle have proved in recent times that we give people a chance who didn’t have a good record elsewhere for instance Morgan Whittaker he couldn’t even get in swanseas squad but was prolific for a long period last season. While I am inclined to agree with Simon I do think wazza warrants the opportunity and let’s see what happens and be positive
Gabby is to punditry to what Rooney is to managment....
Isn't Rooneys and Steve Bruce's win records very similar? Yet according to Simon one is Ok and deserving of a job and one isn't. Personally I don't rate either as capable, but at least stay consistent. Still love listening to Simon, just wish he wouldn't pretend he didn't have favourites.
You can't compare Steve Bruce's managerial career with Wayne Rooney. Bruce has saved clubs from relegation- maybe watch a couple of Blues matches when he was managing them! Ridiculous comparison
I hope for our sake wazza works out 💪🏾
The 🤌 yawning at the very beginning
Unprofessional
Simón “not withstanding it” Jordan
Aww Privilged Simon’s back at work
One of these pundits or Rooney himself needs to shout out that Simon Jordan is not a football man. Never played it, never managed it, failed trying to buy it. He has no reputation or respect on football. He has no place in the industry. Cause he's rich I think he thinks it gives him a voice in football.
Mate, you absolutely nailed it. You are correct and share my thoughts exactly. Well said!
And neither of you support Plymouth 🥵
I actually agree with Simon Jordan. It was nonsense to go with this "ideology" & to ignore the 154 games he's managed. The bar is low for him here helps alleviate pressure but I do fear. Also we've now lost our clear best player Michael Cooper.
Rooney only went and lost 4-0 on opening day 💁🏻♂️🤣🤣🤣
What happens to Rooney as a coach if he fails,is as what happened last time..ppl employ him..he's in the boys club
Why do Leeds bother with Farke when he has proven he is s premier League relegation specialist?
Even if they get promoted the outcome the following season is pre determined
Hopefully he’s learned a lot
For a failed football club owner, he has a lot of negative things to say about everyone. Look at yourself in the mirror Simon.
So he can’t have an opinion? How about you look at yourself
@BridgeStamford slebon never said Jordan isn't allowed to say this stuff, just that he himself has a history of failure in running a club so it's an ironic position to be coming from. Why does someone saying something negative about Jordan get your knickers in so much of a twist?
@@BridgeStamford so slebon can't have an opinion? How about you look at yourself. (Hopefully by this comment you'll realize how stupid your own comment was.)
Not a failed owner in any respect. Took Palace to Premier league with success, had a run in the league and left the club financially stable but ran out of the millions required to fund a club 🤷♂️
Simon has looked at himself in the mirror. He has accepted his mistakes and failings and has every right to have an opinion about an ex player and current manager. Does Wayne rooney deserve praise and positivity for his management career.
I'm willing to give rooney a chance but the owner needs to move quickly and get rid of him quickly if it doesn't work out to save the season
Haven't a team I support in the championship but soft spot for Coventry
Great, thanks for that
Simon would complain if Rooney landed a job at the Redford rejects he just doesn’t like the guy for whatever reason
Rooney is doing what Lampard should have done. get experience at the lower levels.
Rooney took Birmingham from a playoff position to relegation. This is a bizarre appointment that could cost Plymouth very dearly. It's all about Rooney's name rather than his capabilities.
Jordan isnt a football expert, he is an expert at slating people he doesnt like.
Rooney is a young manager who got his coaching badges and had some experience. If he doesnt merit a job at Plymouth after being interviewed, where does he deserve a job? Local village side perhaps? Should Plymouth have hired a manager whose CV is success after success? How many managers out there fit that bill? Maybe they should have persuaded Klopp.
Have a day off Jordan. He wont though, as he knows negativity sells, and good for his bank balance. He is the Piers Morgan of sports journalism
Simon's football opinions are notoriously wayward. He's definitely not a football expert!
They get an EFL expert on and still end up talking about the Premier League zzzzzzzzzz
So why did the Plymouth owner give him the job then, do you not think hes interviewed him and liked his beliefs and philosophy more than any other candidates, its Plymouth aswell they are already relegation contenders so anything else is a bonus
Is that Harvey price?
Arne Slot won’t do much for Liverpool this season they won’t get top 4 they’ll get 5th or 6th
😂cope better
I reckon Rooneys been up back or Simons wife, never has owt good to say about him 😅
Rooney has no interest in Simon's wife, he's into Simon's old mother.
@@RoyHodgson97 typical rat scoucers like yourself aye..
I spent most of my life in Plymouth and the club has never had the funding in place to bring in high quality players and also 1st rate managers. Wayne Rooney is not a manager he does not deserve to be where he is. Plymouth will not go anywhere with Rooney and they will always be a league club.
Is this the same person who wants Lampard as England manager?
Jordan said he wants Klopp, which is surely a fair choice
He always goes after Rooney & Neville and Ten Hag. He has a problem with anyone linked with United because he knows negative comments gets him views same as Gabby Agbonlahor
"Craig david"
How can ETH compete with the players on the books like Casemiro 350k, Rashford 350k, Erikson 150k, McTominay 70k, Mount 250k? Talk about a poison chalice. That's near the entire budget of some EPL teams - all absolutely useless and mostly dead wood on the bench. It's going to make for plenty of laughs for the rest of us, that's for sure.
Simon Jordan sits in a chair he does not merit
Wayne has lost more half of the games
he has coached
Wow
Seriously why are people criticising Simon again?
If Simon can't criticise Rooney neither can you
Rooney, would be better suited to the over 60s female team...he can have a more "hands on" role!
man utd have become a cup team
What a ridiculous idiotic opinion that is. This guy is so fuelled by hate it’s unreal
I will stick my head out as many many people have not and quite happy to do so,ROONEY IS NOT A MANAGER ,GOD HELP MY TEAM AS AN ARGYLE SUPPORTER FOR 75 YEARS ,I really hope he does not ruin us 🥵BUT I THINK HE WILL,SORRY I AM CERTAIN HE WILL 🥵
Believe me honestly I am absolutely gutted 0-4 but not surprised 😢😢😢😢
Your criticism is sick of everyone Simon give it a break
All Simon is saying is the same stuff he said before. It's Talksport that keeps regurgatating the same stuff...
Simon is on talksport regurgitating the same opinions over and over again most days. He's a major part of why talksport is so repetitive.
Look at Gabby thinking hes really important😂😂 i mean whats he writing down🙈🙈
Simon Jordan has a well paid job on talksport that he doesn't merit.
Says to the expert? 😂😂😂
@@BridgeStamford Who are you, Simon's butt monkey?
Those that failed enjoy others failour like simom in football sits n gives a opinion he cud hold himself but it makes him money- he cudnt servive in the game so chooses to criticise
Wayne Rooney is the Coca Cola Brand for Plymouth..
Rooney will be gone before Santa drinks your bottle of Harveys Bristol cream.
😂😂😂
Brilliant.
That stupid Plymouth owner who’s dragged them through the divisions and transformed the club in the same time it took Simon to blow hundreds of million and bankrupt palace 😂
I dont see it working for Rooney, you have to admire his determination but I dont think he is good enough, could he ever be, I am not sure hes just not a good communicator, you cant be saying errm every sentence and expect people to take you seriously. you see it with players who were at the top struggle to manage players who are nowhere near their level
Rooney, Lampard keep failing forward. We see who's not getting those chances...
They're not the only ones. Look at Vincent Kompany!
@@LordHighness he's the exception. And he got promoted and played good football with a championship squad in the prem.
WAYNE ROONEY DONT MERIT THE PLYMOUTH JOB IS HILARIOUS 😂😂😂 I THINK SIMON JORDAN JUST WANTS A LAWSUIT FROM SOMEONE SLAPPING HIM HE MUST BE BROKE OR SOMETHING HES JUST TO DISRESPECTFUL😂SMH
Someone from the city as I am, I've got to say im worried. Our preseason not been great. Our style of play hasn't been great and yet again no money spent on squad
Our preseason’s been fine apart from Bristol Rovers

@@PAFC-Louie i was replying to plymouthrock 🫣🫣🫣
@@darrensmith7400 you crazy, have you been to the games. I have and it was bad football. You're just looking at scores
Don’t get his point, people who are exceptional in one field often move over to positions in other fields that they’re not qualified for.
Simon is an example of this. He’s a businessman and team owner, he didn’t study journalism and work as a presenter or columnist to get his position.
So many athletes/singers parlay their fame into modelling, acting, presenting etc.
Rooney is the best English player of his generation and has managerial experience. This is Simon being a contrarian and trying to have a controversial/negative take.
Statistically great players do not make great managers. There are very few exceptions to this (Cruyff and Guardiola being only two I can think of,but failed managers who were top players? The list is endless).
The only reason Plymouth chose Wayne "The Big man is Back" Rooney is because it's brought a lot more attention to one of the smaller clubs in the division than they would normally have had.
Rooney has done nothing to deserve the 3 jobs he's had before this one. He should go down to League One or Two and when he takes Carlisle or someone like that up to the Premiership we can then talk about him in the same vein as McKenna. But not before.
As a fan of another Championship team who may also be in the relegation mix again this year, I wouldn't want Rooney within 50 miles of my club.
For all those supporting Wayne here, ask yourself this, would you want him as England manager? I wouldn't. There'd be no pukka pies left for anyone at half time...
@@BarrettszippoTrue, but again, this is not a unique phenomenon, the fact you’re bringing up the success/failure rate, is proof of that it happens.
It’s worth noting, the examples you’re mentioning are players who went on to coach at an elite level. Wayne is managing a team that is bottom of the championship. He also has 4 years of managerial experience. He’s not a stellar candidate. But it’s disingenuous of Simon to act like this is out of the blue.
He’s a 4 year manager, who’s been at bigger clubs. Now managing the 21st team in the league.
😂 I’m with ya on the pies front.
No I wouldn’t want him as the England manager, or my club, but then my team is Norwich. He objectively has more experience than our new coach. Again, I don’t think he’s a stellar candidate. But Plymouth are essentially a league one level club.
I would also argue that attention, which can be flipped into profit; is invaluable for a club of that size in terms of revenue.
Again, don’t want to make it sound like I’m caping for Wayne, he’s not a great manager. But there are plenty of managers with his resume who get these type of jobs and there’s no segment questioning the appointment beyond, well that wasn’t terribly ambitious.
@@Barrettszippo Ancelotti, Zidane, Beckenbauer, Dalglish, there are plenty more....
Getting boring now. He’s more successful than you, get over it.
He's more successful as a football player,Simon is more successful as a business man.Rooney is not a successful manager/coach,that's the whole arguments

It’s Plymouth not Real Madrid he warrants this job. Simon should be on local radio not on talk talk knows f all
I don't know why clubs and other football people think players necessarily make good managers. Management is a completely different skill set. Rooney proves the point. Useless! Getting Birmingham relegated!
What do these clowns want?? When an ex-player gets a job in the top flight they will question their suitability. Now, when Wazza is to rebuild his management career with a lower-league club, they also question his suitability. Even when he managed in the Mickey Mouse League MLS, they also questioned his ambition. So, what do you guys want from a top-notch ex-player who's trying to make their way as a football manager??!!
World class footballer, shitty manager, that's it in a nutshell basically.
