They thought about playing 40 cards first for consistency, but noticed that playing all the handtraps doesn't bring it down too much and the handtraps help to win against Adamancipator when you don't go first. They even programmed a calculator to see how consistent the FTK is with handtraps and more than 40 cards.
I play the deck at 42 cards and it runs a whole lot better, I also took the liberty of playing cards that insure the combo goes through like Called by the grave and Prohibition

In OCG currently, Halq is limited but linkross is banned. Token generators like grinder golem will always be problematic for this game due to the abusable combos they allow.

That and the A-Assault limit in 2018 was stupid since Firewall Dragon was the problem for so many different Yugioh formats. That however was rectified correctly. But the next two link monsters that should be hit, as they are now, are Halqifibrax and Union Carrier. Halq is the biggest culprit of degeneracy in Yugioh at the moment, but Union Carrier enables that any monster (doesn't have to be a Union monster) can be equipped if it has the same Type, or Attribute. That is unhealthy. Even if it is only meant to help get a certain monster to the GY to extend combos. I personally feel that Union Carrier should say "You can target 1 face-up monster you control, equip 1 UNION monster to it from your hand or Deck with its same original Type and Attribute. The equipped monster gains 1000 ATK. If you equipped it from the Deck, you cannot Special Summon monsters with that Equip Card's name for the rest of this turn. You can only use this effect of "Union Carrier" once per turn." This would allow it to be used as it should have been intended. AND you would still be able to use cards like Union Driver, Torque Tune Gear and the ABC cards to help make the ABC deck better.

Semi: Toadally Awesome A HERO Emerges (mixed feelings about this one. The way Heroes are played now, this card is a 4000 LP Ash bait card. Plus the deck is very full depending on if you play the Evil Hero package or not. On the flip side, it is only good on your first turn and adding another copy assures you can draw it more consistently. And with Isolde in the game, that's bad news if warriors were to make a return to the top spot again) Unlimited: ABC Dragon Buster (not saying this because I'm looking to appease anyone, I just think it's limit status is unjustified)
Konami won't hit this unless someone uses it in a real life event. However we can see that the cards that enable the ftk are the ones people think they should be banned. And while needlefiber won't get hit, I am not so sure about linkcross.
I had been playing with a similar concept in the OCG, the final board is a bit different. It start the same and end with Link5 borrelend dragon, a 2 counter savage dragon (or red eyes dragoon, which is out in OCG) and crystal wing synchron dragon equipped with destruction sword. The plays are the same until Dragunity knight Romulus where we take dragon ravine Discard one card to send router dragon from deck to GY to activate its effect and add revolver dragon. Activate boot sector to special summon Revolver. Romulus into Linkross, spawn 2 token. Link Linkross and revolver into halq and summon O-lion from deck. O-lion and 1 token into Martial Metal Marcher, then summon back revolver, 1 token is spawned. Revolver and 1 token link into garden rose maiden and search for 1 black garden. Activate Black Garden. Synchro summon Crystal wing synchro dragon with Martial and Maiden, spawn 1 plant token on opponent field. Link Crystal wing synchro dragon with the token summoned by O-lion into Union Carrier, summon another token. Destroy black garden to summon revolver(1600 atk). Banish Maiden in graveyard to summon crystal wing synchro dragon. Activate Union Carrier to equip destruction sword. Link Revolver into Guarddragon Pisty to special summon Dragunity knight Romulu from GY. Link Dragunity knight Romulu, crystron halq and Guarddragon Pisty into Borrelend dragon. Activate Borrelend dragon effect to negate the Union carrier to special summon revolver from GY. Activate revolver effect to tribute revolver to special summon any lv 4 non-tuner rokket monster from deck. Synchro summon savage dragon (or link into predaplant then into dragoon if its out). That makes a board with 2 monster negate and 1 all negate and extra deck seal from one Starliege seyfert which I think is so much more broken and effective than the one used in the video.
I usually pair this with some other combo which can make a similar board from other cards, but those combo usually want to end with dragoon which are not out in TCG yet.
Just one example of such combo is Jet synchron + 1 card into Crystal wing synchro dragon + Dragoon of red eyes + destruction sword. In TCG right now, we have to change Dragoon into Avramax which makes the ending board ridiculously weak with only Avramax + Crystal wing synchro dragon + destruction sword. There are only 1 monster effect negate and extra deck seal and is simply too easy to break through which is not worth since this combo requires so many resources.
What I realize about this FTK is that this deck is still a fully functional Rokket Link deck even if the FTK gets stopped or you’re going second. They covered all their bases with the hand trap choices, extenders and spells. For those people who think that an Ash or any kind of interruption to this deck is an automatic gg, you’re very wrong. The FTK is like something you can do but that’s not even the only thing it can do tbh.
When you think about it this is a great thing, it forces them to address needlefiber and possibly will result in an emergency ban list to get rid of that piece of sh*t
Love how people blame Halqi, even though he’s a decent card. He’s literally only there for the arrows lmao. Linkross on the other hand, pushes the combo and helps it extend. It’s not Halqi’s fault for Konami making a broken Link 1.
Linkross is granted to get banned after the next ban list is coming up Because herald is mostly there to deny handtraps and is a free negate incase Handtraps become a problem. Metal marcher is just free extention because the tuner revival. Just happens the fact the cross tokens are lvl 1 and are just ripe for abuse for synchro plays

I stopped playing sometime during the middle of Synchro era, seen XYZ, got a starter deck for that, never really played after that either and same for when they released Pends. I finally got back in around the time they released Salad, because I liked the blue link cards and liked the concept.
O dear lord... I really want to get back into dueling, slamming cards onto the board and have fun. But these last months make it really hard for me to return. Incredible stupidly high card prices again (I could afford these expensive cards due to a good job, but I simply refuse paying nearly 100 bucks for a single card that isn´t even considered a collector´s item) & the rise of another FTK simply make me wonder if it would be even worth playing Yugioh again.
Bro choose a deck you like which isn't dog shit and just go to locals, you don't need big tournaments... A balanced non meta match is still really fun and engaging, because the rules of ygo are great and the game is challenging. I'm still coming back now and I have witchcrafters just for fun and pure Shaddoll for a competitive one
If you play Crossrose Dragon you can pretty consistently make Dark Strike Fighter and sac REDMD for the last 2k on your turn [making it actually an FTK :) ]. It's pretty cheesy.

The problem isnt the rokket link motor, the problem its halquifibrax and Link ross, elpy its a little too good, but you now that the fith summon or even 6th summon its always the guardragon combo, no problem there

Essentially, there's no format, because the game is left unchecked. @@theclosecall4095 You're being a little ignorant. Piscu may not enable the ftk but it sure facilitates it. Piscu is the only card that "Destroys" and "Burns" per monster when "Sent" to the GY. Black garden is an odd card and i agree it should go and so should Carrier, but Piscu is among the offenders and it should go just like the plant FTK monster and all three Cannon Soldiers.

Not good vs meta, way too normal summon reliant and easy to hand trap. There more casual, this format is very toxic right now and going second vs meta is extremely difficult as the top decks create to much advantage. I've played crystrons constantly since there orginal release, my favorite deck, but there monsters are too restrictive in there design
I'm confused. I'm not too sure but, isn't rokket tracer's effect once per turn? So how were they able to summon exploderokket twice with tracer? But I might just be confused. And also, exploderokket can only activate each effect once per turn. SO then how did the exploderrokket burn (twice) AND special summon a rokket tracer. Can anyone give me an explanation? I don't understand this. Thanks!

I had been playing with a similar concept in the OCG, the final board is a bit different. It start the same and end with Link5 borrelend dragon, a 2 counter savage dragon (or red eyes dragoon, which is out in OCG) and crystal wing synchron dragon equipped with destruction sword.
The plays are the same until Dragunity knight Romulus where we take dragon ravine
Discard one card to send router dragon from deck to GY to activate its effect and add revolver dragon.
Activate boot sector to special summon Revolver.
Romulus into Linkross, spawn 2 token.
Link Linkross and revolver into halq and summon O-lion from deck.
O-lion and 1 token into Martial Metal Marcher, then summon back revolver, 1 token is spawned.
Revolver and 1 token link into garden rose maiden and search for 1 black garden.
Activate Black Garden.
Synchro summon Crystal wing synchro dragon with Martial and Maiden, spawn 1 plant token on opponent field.
Link Crystal wing synchro dragon with the token summoned by O-lion into Union Carrier, summon another token.
Destroy black garden to summon revolver(1600 atk).
Banish Maiden in graveyard to summon crystal wing synchro dragon.
Activate Union Carrier to equip destruction sword.
Link Revolver into Guarddragon Pisty to special summon Dragunity knight Romulu from GY.
Link Dragunity knight Romulu, crystron halq and Guarddragon Pisty into Borrelend dragon.
Activate Borrelend dragon effect to negate the Union carrier to special summon revolver from GY.
Activate revolver effect to tribute revolver to special summon any lv 4 non-tuner rokket monster from deck.
Synchro summon savage dragon (or link into predaplant then into dragoon if its out).
That makes a board with 2 monster negate and 1 all negate and extra deck seal from one Starliege seyfert which I think is so much more broken and effective than the one used in the video.
I usually pair this with some other combo which can make a similar board from other cards, but those combo usually want to end with dragoon which are not out in TCG yet.
Just one example of such combo is Jet synchron + 1 card into Crystal wing synchro dragon + Dragoon of red eyes + destruction sword. In TCG right now, we have to change Dragoon into Avramax which makes the ending board ridiculously weak with only Avramax + Crystal wing synchro dragon + destruction sword. There are only 1 monster effect negate and extra deck seal and is simply too easy to break through which is not worth since this combo requires so many resources.

What I realize about this FTK is that this deck is still a fully functional Rokket Link deck even if the FTK gets stopped or you’re going second. They covered all their bases with the hand trap choices, extenders and spells. For those people who think that an Ash or any kind of interruption to this deck is an automatic gg, you’re very wrong. The FTK is like something you can do but that’s not even the only thing it can do tbh.

I stopped playing sometime during the middle of Synchro era, seen XYZ, got a starter deck for that, never really played after that either and same for when they released Pends. I finally got back in around the time they released Salad, because I liked the blue link cards and liked the concept.

O dear lord... I really want to get back into dueling, slamming cards onto the board and have fun. But these last months make it really hard for me to return. Incredible stupidly high card prices again (I could afford these expensive cards due to a good job, but I simply refuse paying nearly 100 bucks for a single card that isn´t even considered a collector´s item) & the rise of another FTK simply make me wonder if it would be even worth playing Yugioh again.
Bro choose a deck you like which isn't dog shit and just go to locals, you don't need big tournaments... A balanced non meta match is still really fun and engaging, because the rules of ygo are great and the game is challenging. I'm still coming back now and I have witchcrafters just for fun and pure Shaddoll for a competitive one

If you play Crossrose Dragon you can pretty consistently make Dark Strike Fighter and sac REDMD for the last 2k on your turn [making it actually an FTK :) ]. It's pretty cheesy.

The problem isnt the rokket link motor, the problem its halquifibrax and Link ross, elpy its a little too good, but you now that the fith summon or even 6th summon its always the guardragon combo, no problem there

Essentially, there's no format, because the game is left unchecked. If we get an actual banlist next time around, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a couple of big hits, because this situation is reminiscent of the degeneracy that had plagued the game in 2018-2019.

@@theclosecall4095 You're being a little ignorant. Piscu may not enable the ftk but it sure facilitates it. Piscu is the only card that "Destroys" and "Burns" per monster when "Sent" to the GY. Black garden is an odd card and i agree it should go and so should Carrier, but Piscu is among the offenders and it should go just like the plant FTK monster and all three Cannon Soldiers.

I'm a Duel Links player so I don't know which Non-Top Tier decks can be good for the Meta
Not good vs meta, way too normal summon reliant and easy to hand trap. There more casual, this format is very toxic right now and going second vs meta is extremely difficult as the top decks create to much advantage. I've played crystrons constantly since there orginal release, my favorite deck, but there monsters are too restrictive in there design

I'm confused. I'm not too sure but, isn't rokket tracer's effect once per turn? So how were they able to summon exploderokket twice with tracer? But I might just be confused. And also, exploderokket can only activate each effect once per turn. SO then how did the exploderrokket burn (twice) AND special summon a rokket tracer. Can anyone give me an explanation? I don't understand this. Thanks!
