    both are the way back to pure awareness that which we all are, but awareness knows that the human in me needs to feel it, in order to heal from it. No short cuts in life, I think thats just it. All experience is all we are here for. namaste...

      Until experience and experiencer merge and then there is no one experiencing and therefore no experiencer......... It all falls away

    Dearest Rupert...... glad to share with you that I shared this clip with our only son who faced many miseries due to uncontrollable anger.....and spot on he’s tasted the unbound freedom then and there....while listening to the second method.... ! now no more anger along with eternal freedom...!
    Wish to sincerely thank you for your wonderful serene company....🌷🌷🌷

    It is so hard Rupert, so hard. I was in a good place. Today, this morning following my meditation I came to this deep realization about the divine nature of my being and the awareness of my infinite character. And then, after a beautiful day, I went into this very, very violent fight with the person I’m married to. It was so violent that my head hurts. I tried not to play the game but she kept on dragging me and attacking me until I broke. How could I come to this extreme. This is so not me, I’m a peaceful being. I thought I would listen to one of your tapes to redirect my attention but I got trapped. My bad things were said... but in the end the worse is, I don’t regret anything I said, all I regret is that I did not listen to your tape before the fight dragged me. I don’t regret, I feel disdain. But this is not me. Is it a call for me to continue to work on my awareness?

      So did you get into a fight with “her”? Or did you get into a fight with your “projections” of her? If we’re honest, it was always your own projections you were fighting. Realize the Self, know your true nature. know that you are That. And you will be better prepared to notice when those feelings arise so that you can observe them instead of react to them. It’s liking watching two people fight on TV.....do you get emotional involved with it or do you just watch objectively from the couch? It’s like that. It’s all a movie that we create and project with our own minds. Once you realize that...and abide as that....TRULY....than you will have total control over your self.

    Bless. Rupert seems to think you can do such a thing as 'notice'. Sweet. Sweet but so untrue. You can not do that. You can do nothing. If I could 'notice' all the time and therefore never suffer - why wouldn't I do that? Answers on a postcard.

      'Awareness' notices, but why complicate matters, it is heard and it resonates or it does not. As he puts it the 'knowing' is inseparable from all said experience as it is all said experience. There is only knowing awareness in all its modulations. What is considered personal or a person is actually only thought fixating on itself and by doing so, ignoring 'knowing' which can't be found anymore than you can find empty space - it is always there, to describe any so called experience it must be there. There is no dogma involved in knowing that you are. You are before anything can be said, that is 'knowing'. Noticed enough you will naturally stay with it rather than chase thought up projections/abstractions that cause suffering, just in the same way you wouldn't intentionally hold your hand over a flame when you know it burns to do so.

      Maybe you start by noticing sometimes and not suffering and then eventually notice more and more frequently and continue to lessen your suffering?

    There is deep wisdom in his voice. At least that’s how it seems to me. However, I cannot say this ultimately helps me in making a decision that protects me. Meaning that anger in my understanding is a protective mechanism to allude us to the fact that something is not going the way it is supposed to. Sometimes it can be ego but in my experience it is mostly showing us that we have done something we wish we had not done. So, yes, I can become the awareness that experiences the anger yet is not the anger. But then what?

      What your mind labels as anger is ultimately a collection ot thoughts and sensations in your body. Simply rest your attention, non-judgementally, on the raw sensations in the body. Awareness will dissolve the anger.

    Still my criticism of Rupert is that he continues to put out the idea that there is somebody who can do something about stuff - and sure I hear it when people say but he only does that because some people can't handle the truth of what's going on here. But really? This is 2016. Do we still have to baby people to that extent? You can not even control your next thought for crying out loud. What chance is there to control 'your life' or 'your emotions'? I mean - come on. Thoughts come. As do feelings. As does everything else. End of.

    • @innerlight617
      @innerlight617 8 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Notice thoughts or feelings does not mean control them. Do you really think Rupert says something about control?

    • @Jamesgarethmorgan
      @Jamesgarethmorgan 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Really? What are 'two approaches to anger' all about if not about controlling it? Why would you have any approach to anger at all unless you wanted to do something about it?

    • @innerlight617
      @innerlight617 8 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      To know anger or any other feeling,to be aware of it, does not mean ,to control it. One is aware of feelings , thoughts,which are coming and going. We are the screen not the movie projected to it.
      This is at least the way i understand,Rupert's teaching.

    • @innerlight617
      @innerlight617 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      more specifically we are the knowing of both, screen and movie projected on it.

    • @benwalton1039
      @benwalton1039 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      therefore no screen, no movie, only 'knowing'.
