Very pleased to hear that Dr Huberman likes what Bryan is trying to do. Hope to see Dr Huberman on Dr Mark Hyman's podcast before long. Best wishes to all three of them and the way they're trying to help us.
Brian Johnson is a gift to humanity. Imagine this, he has effectively unlimited income and could be doing anything in the world but he chose to go on a journey no others have dared to and is documenting it all with true scientific rigors.
Love Huberman and Johnson. Johnson has the health metrics to prove his protocols, which is pretty incredible. Huberman is a wealth of knowledge. No need to take sides. Learn from both.
Working on one guy doesn't mean it will work on others and it is not having side effects on him that doesn't mean it will not on you. Try it on your risk. Don't say its incredible , just one person data doesn't make it protocol.
@@bhumikjoshi4573 The protocols came about from a meta analysis of the current health literature. Of course, everyone's body will react differently, but the whole thing is based on empirical data . What potential side effects were you concerned with? His diet? His exercise? Sleeping pattern? Most of his stuff seems pretty safe to me. What's concerning to you?
*Chris’ scout analogy is very good* what Bryan is doing is certainly adding to what we know and pushes things forward. The challenge is when this is seen as *THE WAY* because it’s working for one person. Although Bryan doesn’t say there’s only one way, the waters get muddied when he promotes and profits from *often* speculative supplements with little or no solid human evidence because it worked for him. Like do we really need a blueprint protein powder for longevity? Personally I don’t think so. Interesting guy all the same
@@thebrownfrogProbably that eating more foods with more protein in them is equally as effective, or at the very least, eating the powder has comparatively diminishing returns.
@@johnhopkins6029 Can't think of any discoveries, but he has been a highly tested human being. His contribution you could say has been to try anything and observe the effect with high quality high quantity testing. It's an n=1 study that shows what is possible for him. If he has a positive effect on someones health then that's good enough for me.
You can easily criticise a dude like that but the fact is he's doing better than about 99% of people his age. I personally won't go to the extremes he does but I can learn something from him.
I have read many books, I listened to many TH-cam videos by many of the world's leading gurus and health experts but nothing came close to “the hidden herbs” by anette ray. I recommend everyone giving it a read.
This is perfect. I'd love to interview either of these guys from the perspective of how to get a regular guy unfiucked. That is my mission. The 40-60lb overweight dude. Wants to be healthy but is stuck in a cycle. I have made it my job over the last 25 years to consume as much information as possible from as many perspectives as possible to form my own ways and methods. There's some Goggins, some Huberman and some old Yoga guru I met at yoga teacher training. Amazing clip.
"we are all after the same thing" it's essencially the same as when hundreds of years ago everyone was trying to produce gold and trying to find the essence of living forever. and those early experiments had become the fundation for the science of Physics and Chemistry. now it's a new wave of improvements in science that is chasing basically the same thing and gives birth to huge advancements in the way we think and understand things around us. i find it really fascinating (and a bit ironic) that the more we know about the world, it seems to teach us that the universe is finite and has no beginning and end but our physical existence does, no matter what we do. in a way the essence of us "living forever" is just to learn as much as we can pass that knowledge to the new generation and teach them to adept to changes, teach them to evolve faster to be able to survive while you are alive. and then our species can live forever, live through the death of our Planet, our Star, our Galaxy. not the individual itself, but ultimately we together as a whole consciousness with all our wisdom and knowledge.
I’m glad you both see him that way. That’s basically how I see him. He strikes me as a really weird guy, but I’ve never seen anything to suggest that his weirdness is anything other than innocent.
It’s evident that Bryan’s views are one of many. But not all are created equal and he’s gone to great lengths to show evidence that his are better than most, if not the best that we currently know of. Until someone proves their method is more effective, it seems his methodologies are of the highest tier.
Mmmm….kay. But Bryan isn’t too impressed with your endorsement of green powders. In fact, in his savage takedown of AG1, pretty sure he slapped your face on the video.
Cause AG is essentially a pyramid, where a huge portion of the price of the product is going towards the pyramid scheme, paying A LOT to those who promote it.
Don't buy ag1. Buy Bryan's product Don't buy Bryan's product, buy the next one's product and so on and so forth. All while pro endurance athletes drink Coca-Cola or eat nutella after hours of cardio. Go figure.
I believe tapping into longevity through the use of latest science IS dangerous if there is no holistic and spiritual basis. Doing something to your body purely from your mind, not involving your spirit, intuition, energy is very two dimensional. Being not religious I do apply Taoism principles to lifestyle, nutrition etc to find balance. What I find alarming in Bryant’s protocol is the insane amount of supplements, no matter how good the quality is and even if it’s all natural, our bodies, especially liver is not built to process this amount. Another alarming point is obsession with this protocol and results, rather than living, there is no free flow, flow of energy, joy in the protocol. Imho. But I do wish him to find the balance and to find what he really seeks.
I have to say that I 100% agree with Dr. Huberman. In my view the guy is just a one man lab using his own money to learn more about longevity etc. Lets hope we get some valuable results.
The fact that nobody talks about censored book called The 23 Former Doctor Truths by Lauren Clark really gets to me. Always loved people like Rachel, it opens our eyes
Talking about scientific research as if it were taste in music is the most anti-scientific stance you could imagine. And by the way I bought AG1 and consumed it ONCE, because I didn't know about the insanely profitable affiliation program behind it, just out of curiosity, and I got so ill I thought I was going to die. I had to call a doctor. Apparently it's not unusual, they were kind enough to reimburse me right away. Ethics, and truth, are important, to preserve one's intellectual credibility.
That last point Huberman makes echoes an axiom I discovered: ask, Am I a Creator, or, a Consumer..? I know which one adds the most value in life, generally.
Its not easy to become extra ordinary for a lot of people, but i like what he is doing too, doing the best for himself and in the same time for envirement and other people, because i believe his food is ethically sourced and there is almost no food waste, he is eating exactly what he need no more no less, i'm somewhere on the way to eat like that but its expensive and to feed my cat lab produced meat, finger crossed
Just a thought… some people (like me) can’t swallow vitamin pills (I had a laryngeal spasm three months ago while downing my usual vitamin, and now I can’t swallow pills anymore… crazy but true) so for me… powdered vitamin drinks are the way to go. I don’t take AG1 or Bryan’s longevity mix, but a competitor. And it does seem to give me more energy. Anyhow… just wanted to point out that unfortunately some of us can’t swallow pills, so powder for drinks are the only option (aside from eating healthy unprocessed foods)
Chris is there any way you can grill Dr Huberman, I would love to know Precisely in the monthly’s leading up to this prodcast What health protocols were you focusing on The supplements The auxiliary therapies The exercise regime including - ems and other “odd” exercises - interstingly hair line and facial hairs got darker and veins are more pronounced, And specifically on the day of this podcast What was your routine, what supplements and how many coffees , everything ? Dr Huberman brought a very high level to this scene in particular and this podcast over others I’ve watched and would be so keen to find out the specific specifics as above .., helping normal people perform at their best
Increasingly the "patient" (that is, the human!) is engaging in their own medical and healing process. Pros and cons to this. I recently reviewed the medical literature on a common heart arrthymia issue I'm experiencing (PVCs), and found a peer-reviewed article that suggested that electrolyte levels need to be measured to rule out simple etiology from magnesium/potassium levels being too low. I'm lucky that I know how to make (some) sense of the medical literature. Not everyone has access to the same databases or kind of information literacy to do that. So there is lots of room for misinformation and misinterpretation when we are getting medical information from podcasts, TH-cam, etc. I think it needs to be supplemented by chatting with your personal physician, actually looking at the medical literature (not just popular sources), having some good scientific common sense, etc.
What Bryan Johnson is doing is great, but it would be better to have a larger control group that can be legitimately used as statistically significant data. A multimillionaire who can live an extreme lifestyle is going to give outlier type results
Most people are intelligent enough to have their own take on Bryan J. He exposed the truth about mega corporations such as McDonald’s and “health” industry. Well, of course he is getting a “push back”. No brainer.
it is more than morally questionable to make an ad for a product with such claims after a great interview like this which also talks about how dangerous false information is
The Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA) warns consumers not to use prohibited herbal preparations containing the ingredient tongkat ali because they may be carcinogenic. Products containing this ingredient are often sold as a means to improve sex life. The NVWA has ordered the sellers to stop selling the products and to remove them from the market. In addition, the NVWA has imposed fines on the sellers.
Honestly I disagree with some comments, he doesn't need to do all those massive trial and take risk on his own body to make U buy anything. I think called him scam is a bit unfair. Respect different approach. (other company out there would just pour all the money into commerical/or hire influencers to promote)
I completely thought that Bryan Johnson is someone just trying to sell products and using a "good" storytelling in order to do that. It is weird to see someone like Dr. Huberman not criticizing this. I don't know what to think about this.
Sun, healthy food, strength training, aerobic exercises, a treat occasionally. Keep it natural. If you have to take a supplement, you're on the wrong plan.
Everyone else can do what they like but me personally I'm not taking lessons about health from a man who looks like he could be Tilda Swinton's sister.
Bryan is willing to do whatever it takes to increase longevity the most. Two of the Blue Zones are vegan so it makes sense he’d go for it, all the way, 100%.
The music analogy kinda falls short imo. Surely some consumer facing well-being strategies are better than others, unless Dr Huberman is presupposing that all of these products and health tactics are rigorously tested and evidence based. I'm sure that's not what he meant, though.
This is the most animated I have ever seen Andrew Huberman. He's always passionate but the vocal inflections here is much different. I'm curious what inspired this.

“Most people love Taylor Swift” I must be one of the outliers

A brave hot take.
@@HammyGnome She glows. I could swear she was mentioned by name in an intelligence memo in the last 3-4 years or so
Who is Taylor Swift ?
did you notice AG1 is now being marketed not in the beginning but towards the middle of his podcast
Interesting guy all the same
What's "bad"(in any magnitude of that word) about the protein powder?
@@thebrownfrogProbably that eating more foods with more protein in them is equally as effective, or at the very least, eating the powder has comparatively diminishing returns.
@@thebrownfrog It's processed
What discoveries has Bryan Johnson made to the field of longevity other than eat healthy, sleep well, exercise?
@@johnhopkins6029 Can't think of any discoveries, but he has been a highly tested human being. His contribution you could say has been to try anything and observe the effect with high quality high quantity testing. It's an n=1 study that shows what is possible for him. If he has a positive effect on someones health then that's good enough for me.
Yes, I think in his absence the entire field of longevity would be quite different. Thus is also true of Huberman i think.
You can easily criticise a dude like that but the fact is he's doing better than about 99% of people his age. I personally won't go to the extremes he does but I can learn something from him.
I just love Dr Huberman.
Our Superman. lol. ✅
I have read many books, I listened to many TH-cam videos by many of the world's leading gurus and health experts but nothing came close to “the hidden herbs” by anette ray. I recommend everyone giving it a read.

Chris Williamson, everyone can see you physically work out.
We’re lucky to have these three men.
Bryan Johnson I think going to change this Live Long field completely, if its someone thats gonna Live really really long, its him.
It was be super exciting how much money you guys are making too, especially Huberman!
Always so articulate
I can't get enough of this stuff!
i needed that last statement about social media
I’m glad you both see him that way. That’s basically how I see him. He strikes me as a really weird guy, but I’ve never seen anything to suggest that his weirdness is anything other than innocent.
It’s evident that Bryan’s views are one of many. But not all are created equal and he’s gone to great lengths to show evidence that his are better than most, if not the best that we currently know of. Until someone proves their method is more effective, it seems his methodologies are of the highest tier.
100% on point! Love you guys!
Brian Johnson needs to come up with a “Don’t Die on a Budget” plan.
Lol yep
Nor is Rhonda Patrick. It is a shame Peter Attia and Huberman keep pushing AG1. I makes them just to much money (I think millions a year).
Yep. AG1 is a scam. It's all over TH-cam now. I can't believe Chris is still hawking it.
Don't buy ag1. Buy Bryan's product
Don't buy Bryan's product, buy the next one's product and so on and so forth.
Time for Andrew to interview Dr Shawn Baker or Anthony Chaffee , and time for you also Chris . please.

I would never listen to hubermans advice again after AG1
The fact that nobody talks about censored book called The 23 Former Doctor Truths by Lauren Clark really gets to me. Always loved people like Rachel, it opens our eyes
I bought this book and I have had nothing but bad luck since I read it. I would not recommend this book to anyone

Well said Dr. Huberman
Andrew was on fire on this one
Talking about scientific research as if it were taste in music is the most anti-scientific stance you could imagine. And by the way I bought AG1 and consumed it ONCE, because I didn't know about the insanely profitable affiliation program behind it, just out of curiosity, and I got so ill I thought I was going to die. I had to call a doctor. Apparently it's not unusual, they were kind enough to reimburse me right away. Ethics, and truth, are important, to preserve one's intellectual credibility.
wow he said it amazingly
What’s the key difference between Brian Johnson and Huberman? Well, for one thing Brian Johnson actually uses real science.
That last point Huberman makes echoes an axiom I discovered: ask, Am I a Creator, or, a Consumer..?
I know which one adds the most value in life, generally.
It's symbiotic. What good is one without the other.
I'm a Bon Scott fan myself...
Lets be real.
Bryan is a danger to other influencers, because his goal is to help, and not take our money.
I definitely want Andrew Huberman “on the mission!”
Someone’s mad that there revenue from ag1 got impacted 👀
He is building the Blue Print brand in this way.
Yes. It's business!!!
Sorry man, the FDA is NOT after the same thing as the rest of those groups mentioned… their goal is to make as much money for pharma as possible.
He doesn't want to die and I really don't understand it. Only death can save you from life.
Chris is there any way you can grill Dr Huberman, I would love to know
Precisely in the monthly’s leading up to this prodcast
What health protocols were you focusing on
The supplements
The auxiliary therapies
The exercise regime including - ems and other “odd” exercises - interstingly hair line and facial hairs got darker and veins are more pronounced,
And specifically on the day of this podcast What was your routine, what supplements and how many coffees , everything ?
Love you guys
Most people are intelligent enough to have their own take on Bryan J. He exposed the truth about mega corporations such as McDonald’s and “health” industry. Well, of course he is getting a “push back”. No brainer.
it is more than morally questionable to make an ad for a product with such claims after a great interview like this which also talks about how dangerous false information is
Andrew is definitely one of the few Voice of Reason in our time.
Andrew will push AG1 because they are paying him good enough money or is still under contract.

Agree with Bryan that AG1 is overpriced nonsense.
But why he will not invite some random guys to particpate on their will to get more data on the reasearch...??
Honestly I disagree with some comments, he doesn't need to do all those massive trial and take risk on his own body to make U buy anything. I think called him scam is a bit unfair. Respect different approach. (other company out there would just pour all the money into commerical/or hire influencers to promote)
Always question the integrity of anyone that promotes AG1.
I completely thought that Bryan Johnson is someone just trying to sell products and using a "good" storytelling in order to do that. It is weird to see someone like Dr. Huberman not criticizing this. I don't know what to think about this.
Bryan's starting to look like a synth from the Alien movies.
Yes and he is losing hair too-so he doesn't have full control ;-) either.
Sun, healthy food, strength training, aerobic exercises, a treat occasionally. Keep it natural. If you have to take a supplement, you're on the wrong plan.
The only mission Layne Norton needs to be on is getting a better mic so his audio levels don't clip when he shouts.

He said multiple times, that he is vegan for ethical reasons. He also said, that blueprint doesnt forbid eating meat and animal products
