HORRIBLE SCHOOL!! ... SO MUCH I COULD SAY... I won every scholarship then my last year they took the largest scholarship away from me basically, they gave me the title of the scholarship Matilda Wilson Scholarship but did not increase my funding the final year. STILL CARRY THIS DEBT TODAY AND IT IS THREE TIMES WHAT IT WAS AND YES I HAVE PAID SEVERAL THOUSAND DOLLARS TOWARDS IT OVER THE YEARS!!! ALSO many of the angry fellow students whom did not like people like me weaseled their ways into teaching positions there and more.. Showing is controlled there and at their satellite affiliate galleries and others whom they inside trade with such as the Detroit Artist Market and more... I will continue to protest the school

If I was to copy Monet, then yes, it is not my style, but me drawing an impressionist piece in my style is still MY STYLE. Clear up this conundrum for me, because i feel like it is just gate keeping for the sake of seeming pompous. Even if it is required to weed out people, who don't know art fundamentals, it is still BS, because both cartooning and anime require a firm grip on them for it to look good(especially anime, where the only heavily stylized part is the face, which still requires shape design, colour theory and exaggeration skills, while all other parts like backgrounds, anatomy and gesture chin-down, lighting, composition and form stay the same as realism or at least follow the same principles)

Not applying but would still love an answer, i am self taught, so i might be missing something
