Absolutely the best Haydn of all the competants!
This is my favourite performance of this piece. I love this much more than the playing of many famous "cellist stars". This is so full of joy and love for music. Unforgettable performance.
Flawless technique, music with soul, live Top 1 😊
He makes me smile…
He is just amazing
Absolutely the first rate performance! Congrats!
Just magnificent 🎉
My personal favourite version of Haydn C, full of energy, and the clarity of each note is just unbelievable, as well as the intonation, and the phrasing, I've been listening to it for almost everyday. Congratulations, big time 💐
The third movement is almost perfect.
Love how he communicated with the concern master (1st violinist) and conductor with his facial expression.
Yibai Chen, your feeling is happy 😊
This is definitely my favorite haydn
wow, I am so glad I found him here. His play of this composition is unmatched by all others I have heard so far. He is definitely the cellist to watch. I am going to find out more about him after this.

What a complete musician. What beautiful sensitivity. What a personality. What a ball of energy and fun. Beautiful to see the musicians enjoying making this wonderful performance together. Superb!

Thank for his Clear tune ! ^^
Wow! How beautiful. Thank you!
Great style!
Whose Cadenza is he using?
I'm late to this. I'm amazed by how attentive the musicians are. super sympathique!
This is magnificent
1:30 this is wonderful
What an excellent play❤️🔥
Is there information available on the instruments they are playing on? Whether they are on loan, what type of instrument, etc. I'm not a cello or violin maker, but I'm still interested.

Too studied and exaggerated. Hayoung Choi is the more musical, her take is beautiful and heartfelt.
Hayoung Choi's play definitely faster and added some color to the composition. I felt more emotion and connected with Yibai Chen's play.
I don’t think he’s necessarily exaggerating, I think this is just how he feels the music
His climax was strong but that's all. Adagio was boring and too exaggerating
interesting interpretation
