I'm a pies supporter but honestly, good on the saints. Bit of a rusty game, but they played with intensity and heart and what more could you ask for - especially considering all their injuries. good stuff

That saints coaching panel is one of the best ive ever seen. Theres about 1200 games of experience if you include Goddard in there. Baby steps get rid of the dead weight and put trust in the kids and the future is sky high
All 4 new coaches won their R1 games. I didn't expect St Kilda to play as well as they did, especially with all their outs. It was a scrapy win, but Saints fans have a lot to be happy about. They had defensive pressure and intensity, a clear improvement from last year. Their young ones were impressive too Phillipou, Caminiti. Mitch Owens is only 2nd year but plays like he's been playing for years.
how good does phillipou look? could of had 3 goals but him bringing it to ground for others to work around him is great

Fantastic win by the Sainters I'm sure Ross the boss would be releaved to get that first win under his belt. I think he could be the tonic that they need down there at Morabin. Freo played OK but it's difficult to come to vic for your first hitout especially against a hungry
St kilda outfit. I'm aware the saints had a few good. Players out so it makes it even better.
Good luck St kilda and Ross Lyon. They deserve to play final's I'm aware it's a big call but it's all above the shoulders at this level.

What a win by St Kilda. A heavy injury list was not enough to prevent the Saints from getting a great come-from-behind victory against a fancied Fremantle outfit, who just lost concentration in the final quarter. From a six-point Dockers lead at three quarter time to a 15-point Saints victory. The way the St Kilda players responded in the final quarter was a sight for sore eyes in Ross Lyon's first coaching game since his sacking after Round 22, 2019. As for Fremantle? They are getting too complacent and they cannot make any excuses.
For any Freo supporter that wants to complain about the umpiring, let me say this: The umpires were on your side. You cannot blame the umpires. The lack of composure from the team in the final quarter could be a bad omen for the rest of the season if they don't fix things up very soon.
Can St Kilda go marching into September this year? Stick around for the rest of the season to find out. Saints fans, you have a right to celebrate. Your players earned the win.

Most of our players were well below their best yesterday. If they are not so very disappointed in that, then there's clearly something wrong. No idea why Treacy is a continual selection his presence and intent yehh sure. But he made some absolutely reckless and stupid decisions silly and unnecessary free kicks for one. And the errors really continue to annoy me but also their lack of dare! Was all that talk during pre season cheap - to continually move the ball quickly? JL was right our talk is cheap! Start walking the walk otherwise it's going to be such a long season

Relax Muppet it's only one game and they played away from home.
No flagmantle this year. They were poor. Serong. Brayshaw, Fyfe, Jackson had ordinary games. Fyfe does not work as a forward. Based on that match, they're not a Top 8 team.
I had Fremantle finishing in 10th this year.

15 points isn’t a lot and you did the same thing at Optus last year. We bounced back and then won the next 6 and missed out on the top 4 by a draw.
