    For the people who wanna try out and tune a vocalsynth, I just want to say that you don't have to tune every freaking note~ Overtuning exist that sometimes an simple tuned UST/svp can sound better than a fully tuned one, and yeah... That's all. Have fun tuning~

    • @aicka
      @aicka  ปีที่แล้ว +25

      oh yeah i should've mentions that since my examples had basically every note tuned.... 🙃If you hear any of cillia's covers, they sound super well done, but I've actually seen her VSQxs before, they are very simple! Obviously, I have a habit 😭
      but yeah. your absolutely correct, I'll probably pin your comment if this video gets popular enough.

    I'm so happy you made this. All other tutorials or tips just show people tuning something without explaining anything about the pitch bends etc. I've been around since the rise of synth v and still struggle because I have no musical background. Thanks for the amateur proof explanation 👍

      dw, as long as you grasped an idea of these kinds of pitchbends, you can use them in any software. Whether it's using the perimeters or note bending, it's all possible in V4. I also might need to remake this video, but I'll use Vocaloid for my examples.

    THANK YOU SO SO MUCH. This was really helpful, and actually explained tuning in a way that makes sense to me. But does anyone have any tips on how to tune it to sound more robotic?

    • @aicka
      @aicka  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I'm so glad it helped a bit! And for robotic... I guess make the pitchbends really sharp, less smooth?
      Maybe I'll make a 'different tuning styles' video one day, since this was more of the basics than anything.

    finally I've found any tutorial dedicated to pitchband
    I'd like to ask a question. btw i practice tuning in vocaloid. how does pbs influence to pitchband? should it be high or low?

    • @aicka
      @aicka  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I usually have mine at the default which is at 3 (on V5 at least), so on the lower side. It's very rare that someone might have it on the higher side, but you can experiment for yourself.
      I recommend using both pitch bend and notebending, you can download my vocaloid files in my google drive for examples! I think my semi-transparent boy cover might be a good file to look at for seeing how i combine the two. I actually have no idea now experienced you are so if you already knew this then uhh just ignore mehfsdj

    I have watched 30 tuning tutorials at this point and both my synthv and vocaloids sound off key i legit dont know what im supposed to do at this point

  • @Atmatan
    @Atmatan หลายเดือนก่อน

    Im just transcribing sheet music directly and none of this is even needed for synth v.
    When you write the actual notes as intended, the ai manages all the natural pitch bends without issue.

    • @aicka
      @aicka  หลายเดือนก่อน

      right, but I'm just using SynthV as the example in this video since it's easy to draw in the pitch bends and demonstrate. These are especially useful for vocaloid, utau, non-AI programs. (which some still prefer to manual tune on synthv)
