the string retainer bar is added on some brands that use stock floyd nuts to aid in the tuning process. On my Jacksons without it (and it's really noticable on my reverse headed 7) the string doesn't actually sit flat across the entire floyd nut, there being a small gap between the slot on the back and the string. Naturally, when I clap the nut down after tuning to pitch, the fact this gap existed but now doesn't because the lock pushed it down pulls the string ever-so-slightly sharp. It's not a major thing and is easy to work around, but that's the reason for it. Whenever Ibanez put out a new double-locker, their catalogs would always point out they don't need a string retainer bar because of their own nuts being designed in a way that doesn't need them. I'll admit, it is strange for ESP to care about something that anal but not about getting the right radius nut. Although that might be an issue with Floyd rather then ESP, last I checked floyd nuts don't come in raidi other then 10" The only things I wished you'd added were some body or neck diamentions, the neck in particular. The amount of guitars that just say "Thin-U" and then there's one person saying "It's as thin as a ibanez" while someone else is saying "it feels too fat to me" and I'm just here screaming into the void "which is it?"
I think the maximum Floyd nut is 12”. As far as the neck, I didn’t measure it, but it feels slightly thicker than an Ibanez. But certainly not fat like a Gibson. I’d say it’s a comfortable shred neck. Thin but not too thin.
