Huge thanks for this, currently working on restoring and spraying the engine bay of my 68 mustang. Was searching for ideas as far as ventilation and this is exactly what I was looking for! Cheap and great for DIY
Great, simple, clear and ideas conveyed concisely and easily understood. Thanks for the ideas on the spray booth and sharing your experiences of what to do and what issues can arise during the painting process/
Great tutorial & cost effective ideas! Thank you!! A couple questions…do you think that the air intake filter is sufficient, considering there is no fan outside to push air into the booth? Also, if the exhaust fan is pushing the spray booth air out into the garage, how is the air intake supplied with clean/fresh air? Wouldn’t all of the contaminated air just be recirculating through the garage and back into the spray booth? Or are the filters enough to combat that? Thank you so much for any thoughts/suggestions on this!
Glad you liked it. The filters did a great job of cleaning the air coming into the spray booth and exiting. The air flow was good too based on the plastic not showing movement.

Great guidance. Thank ou!
Thank you!
great lesson, what type of paint did you use and how much thinning did you do ?
I used INSL-X Cabinet Coat. Thinned it with water by 5%.
