    Hi Randy, another great review.
I worked as the warehouse manager at an importer/distributor company of FABARM guns in my country a number of years back now.
They really are great guns, soft shooting, fast, responsive and well balanced. We had our own version made called an H68 Steel XLR before what the current XLR was released, we also had a small number designated as H68 "Sporting Clays" which featured a ported barrel, 5 EXIS chokes, a recoil reducer in the stock and your favorite HiVis interchangeable front bead sight. To ensure this model would cycle lighter ammunition with the addition of porting and the recoil reducer it had a different/lighter recuperation spring (part# X-002)
and also a different Pules Piston (part# H-314A).
A common perceived issue that many brands of guns have is not cycling light target loads especially when new out the box, guys want to shot ammo through a brand new gun at a clay shoot the weekend before opening weekend and end up all pissy about it, most gun brands will work fine after some "break" in period with heavy field loads you'll be able to then shoot most target loads. When we came across this issue we would simply fit the X-002 recuperation spring.
I used to sell Benelli's which are great too and have owned Beretta's but I still shoot my old Fabarm H68 XLR Steel Sporting Clays on ducks to this day, in fact I picked up an absolute bargain second hand XLR from my favorite gun shop a few months ago, am going to use this upcoming season here.

I've owned one of these for years now (different camo pattern). I keep it cleaned and lubricated and It's been a phenomenal gun for me. Hunt saltwater marsh and it's run flawlessly for years. Love it and will buy another if I ever lose this one somehow. Thanks Randy

I’d love to be able to check out the ls4 grey hunter but the two “dealers” in Denver don’t answer the phone. I have my next shotgun narrowed down to the ls4 grey hunter and the ethos. Ethos is easy-ish to find.

*Depends on your use. For upland hunting, a Fabarm L4S Grey Hunter is my go-to.*

@@RandyWakeman okay how I specifically want a 30in Chesapeake. Is the XLR5 any better? Only thing I like about XLR5 is the big action bolt

The Chesapeake is an XLR5: identical action.
