Today’s video is about my new laptop unboxing and review.
I talked in detail about my laptop and pen experience after unboxing. I also explained about pros and cons. But this is my own personal experience and I am not an expert so if there’s something I didn’t mention correctly, I do apologize.
I really hope my review can be of someone’s help. If you have difficulty in deciding whether to buy laptop like this or not, I’d like to suggest you to watch till the end.

That pen looks kinda like apple pencil 2. That’s improvement compared to previous 2021 version. Correct me if I’m wrong, I’m confused a little bit.

Hey! Great video! Please have in mind that HP laptops that have a 360 screen have had their screen hinges break after 2-3 years... and the warranty by then has expired, and HP does nothing. And it's their fault, it's not the users'. I LOVED my HP Envy x360, and recommended it to everyone, but a few days back the hinge broke... thankfully it didn't damage the screen, and my technician used a couple of screws and fixed it in a DIY-way... but other users weren't so lucky. It's a common issue. Google it, and take care!

Personally, my lower-end Pavilion x360 has given me no issues with the hinges or anything related to the device's chassis as I’ve seen has been the case for many people. Maybe I was lucky, but it's surprising that after more than 2 years of constant careless use this issue hasn't happened, even with a plastic build. This year I'm upgrading to an Envy; hopefully my experience will be the same.

@K C HI! I'm really late to this response, had some drama with an unofficial shipping service regarding the laptop (not related to HP although they did take their time assembling this thing). I finally got my hands on it on April 11th. It's been a week now and I'm pretty confident saying that this device will hold up nicely, better than my previous HP laptop probs. I'll be using this device throughout my uni career so hopefully the hinges don't act up on me anytime soon ,,,
If you wanted some extra info about what I've found out about the Envy, keep reading.
- Active Pen is decent but it doesn't beat the Wacom styli I've tried. Gets extra points compared to the Apple Pencil for its programmable physical buttons.
- Screen is very nice, definitely an improvement in quality for me but it needed some color calibration. Those HP Display Control basic profiles were not the best. A thing to point out is that the difference on screen size between my past 14 inch and this guy was MINIMAL. I thought I'd struggle with text size or the layout of certain programs but the experience has been pretty much the same.
- I've always been a fan of the keyboard build on the HP's so no complains on its feel. The layout was a little disappointing: There's this goofy ahh emoji key and an HP System Event Utility one, plus a lack of a screenshot key. I also miss the Home/End/PgUp/PgDown row which is not present on the 13 inch version, but that's just a me-thing.
- They did a nice job with the webcam (thanks Intel Evo), lookin' good on meetings
- Integrated graphics for video rendering and simple games is decent. I'm not going to do anything out of the ordinary, so it'll be hard for me to reach a limit (as in resources)
- Talking about performance! I haven't heard loud fan noises so far. Since they're on the back, the noise is much easier to ignore than it was with my Pavilion. Only thing I noticed is the right side under the keyboard gets considerably warmer than the rest of the laptop under long sessions of usage.
That's what I can think of on the top of my head. Charger's pretty, Windows Hello is convenient and really fast, there's a bunch of bloatware and ads from both Windows 11 and HP but I kind of expected that already. Feel free to ask anything in case I forgot something amidst that wall of text LOL.
Edit: Forgot to say that this has been my personal experience with the base customization for the model 13t-bf000. Traits may vary depending on your choices of course

When you were filming this Linn, Did you do it with privacy screen enabled or disabled? I noticed a darkening around 4:38 in the bottom right corner and colour artifacts on the top right corner. I'm not sure if this is because Privacy screen was enabled or it was filimed at some angle or maybe even when privacy screen is disabled and it is viewed straight on, it still has a bad light distribution.
Privacy screen enabled!! If I look from the side, there is only dark screen. 😁
are you sure about the display brightness of 1000nits? that's insanely bright compare to even the most premium laptop out there..

Not so good. My friend has Lenovo yoga and I tried the Lenovo pen on her laptop. It was better than hp pen. I think you should check out the Lenovo Yoga too!

Nope! Only when I’m using it while charging and that problem can be solved too.

Hey Lin. Thanks for pointing out the stylus. That is also my concern. I'm still deciding between this and acer spin 3 because the screen and stylus. I think I will get the spin 3 model even yjo it wont be as beauty as this.

Yes, I also have difficulty in using the pen. For now, I don’t plan to buy a new pen yet and just go with it and see. If I happen to buy one, I’ll share my experience with it!! Thanks for watching my vlog

Maybe you need to change sensitivity of your pen? Could you tell me it it's possible? Bc I'm thinking about paying this laptop! Also is it possible to write with your hand on screen or do you need to keep it in air?
I searched on google and they said we can’t change the pen sensitivity, we can only calibrate the pen unfortunately. We can put our hand on the screen but the screen moves sometimes so it’s not comfortable for me 😥
I just want the laptop as a monitor to upload power points, listen to music & to be able to be able to scroll & use as a laptop occasionally... do you think I should still get it ? does the tablet mode suck completely or just with the pen? because I have an ipad with a stylus that i use
In my opinion, you should get only laptop type. I also have ipad and I’m now using my hp laptop only as a laptop not as a tablet at all. It’s not necessary I think. But if you really(really) want a 2 in 1 type, you should still get it. XD I hope this helps! Have a great day, dear.
Did you bought any new pen if yes how was the experience because I am willing to buy a 2 in 1 laptop for digital note making I need to know how this 2 in 1 perform in real world with respect to note making .. THANKYOU
I haven’t bought new pen yet. But after using the pen that came with this laptop for a few months, I become used to it. Note making experience also becomes ok too. So I think if you become used to the 2 in 1 laptop, everything will be ok later.
Also shall we use the cases for apple pencils ?? Will it be compatible ??so that it can be prevented from slipping and also the same for the tip cover ??? Shall we use a silicon tip cover
I think you should try apple case if they’re the same shape! But for the tip, Apple Pencil case also doesn’t have one. It’s only for the body, not for the tip apparently!
3:01 Those aren't the speakers. Those are vents along with the bottom grill. Speakers are at the front bottom corners.

I sometimes use microsoft whiteboard. But most often, I take notes in the pdf file.

Hi I have a spectre x360 16 which has the same loud fans problem, how did you fix it, great video btw!
Mine becomes noisy sometimes when charging so if that happens-> right click window-> task manager-> end tasks that have high performance (sometimes we can’t end it). The noise goes away after some time in my experience.

2. Yes, I do have. There is sunlight reflection during the day.
i'm having the same problem about the laptop heating up and making a lot of noice, mine's brand new (got it today) so. how did you manage to solve it? please, tell me!!
Right click window-> choose task manager-> if you see high power usage-> right click and end task (you can only do this for some tasks). The laptop heating will not subside when charging but the noise problem will go away after some time in my experience! I think you should try it and see how it goes!

Hello dear, for your question, could you please search on google or ask the professionals because hp has various types of pen and I bet they’re different each and my pen doesn’t have something to turn it off too 😓

Don't get it, the screen flex means the screen will inevitably pop out. It's happened to me twice with the bottom right corner with two different Envys. Look up hp Envy screen popping out.
For me the battery swelled up. Got it fixed but now the speaker has a bad rattling noise after 5 min of playing anything

How hot and loud did the laptop get after some use? Would it be comfortable to place it on your lap for a certain period of time?
It doesn’t get hot and loud when it’s unplugged(when not charging). It’s comfortable to place it on your lap or wherever you want to be. It’s just when you use it while charging, it gets hot and sometimes the fan noise gets louder but the noise issue can be solved.

Yess, it’s more than enough for learning purposes! Some says the hinge breaks after a few months, but mine is still good overall. It’s small and versatile too.

If you want to buy 2 in 1 laptop, I think you should check lenovo yoga because the pen is better. (Hp envy is a great laptop but I don’t use the pen often and it became a normal laptop for me)
If you want to buy laptop and tablet or iPad separately, you should go for MacBook Air M2.
For tip, I also heard my friend says that if you use pen too much in 2 in 1 laptop, she said the screen can get damage in a long run. So I hope you can decide a right choice to what you need. (P.S I’m not a pro on this so if you need further suggestions, you should contact professionals!)

Right click windows-> task manager-> click end tasks for high operating processes. It reduces a lot of fan noise in my experience. For heating, maybe we should not use the laptop while charging.
Is this good for video editing in premiere pro ?
I haven’t tried with premiere pro but I think it is good for that too. I did editing on davinci 18 and it was ok.

how did you solve the heating issue?
Heating issue can’t be solved when charging. Only fan noise issue can be solved. For heating issue, you will need to buy laptop cooler and place it under laptop.

Okk! For fan noise, right click window -> task manager-> if there is any high performance task-> click end task (but sometimes you can’t click end task because that will shut down the system, but in my experience, after some time, the noise goes away after checking the task manager)

I bought this exact laptop and as usual it came with a pen like this and with extra 2 tips but it's not even a month I broke the tip of the pen , it slipped from my hands 🥺🤧Can you suggest me ways to buy that
I think you can buy hp pen nib separately. I looked in the Korea website and they have it although it’s a bit expensive. Or how about completely buying a new pen if you have to.

It’s good. I only have to charge once a day. Sometimes twice.

I suppose. The screen moves most of the time when my hand accidentally touch it.

@@atiaafros8855 I bought it in early 2022, I use both the tablet/laptop mode... Until now there has been no issue with the hinge, I guess because of the cover and hinge part made of aluminium....

This is a proper Laptop Wdm, you literally ignoring all the great stuff and the unbelievable price, you can get an IPad and use for your studies if you wish, but keep this bad boy, it was 100% worth every penny, no Laptop offers that many GBs, Ports, Display, Design, Ram, with less than $900, some people get Mac for 1000+, and don’t even get half of what this Laptop offers, plus at least you have a pen weather perfect or not, you can sign documents on your Laptop and do much more important stuff with it.
Yes, I’m going to keep it and use it. It’s fast and also versatile. The battery lasts long too. But I also plan to buy ipad.

I ordered from Coupang(shopping app in Korea). For the fan noise, right click window-> select task manager-> if you see high power usage, right click and end task if you can.

I tried only light gaming and it was ok. I think the battery life will be shortened if you play some heavy gaming and stuffs for a long time!

I bought the same laptop but it is overheating a lot. It is brand new still it is overheating. I enabled fans from BIOS it didn't help. I hate HP now. 😢 Should have gone for MacBook Air.
Same feeling 😭 I was really stupid. I could have save a little more and Could have bought macbook with that money. But I was blinded by 2 in 1 function.
@@user-kiralin Hello new update! Today I got a vertical blue line on my screen. The pixels on LED screen burnt or wire got loose which goes from the hinge and is connected to the display. Anyways good news is that the store which I bought from has before 7 days exchange policy. I can now replace it with MacBook Air M1. Since it was only 2 days old.

hey....just wanted to let you know that God loves you so much that He sent His son, Jesus, to die on a cross (because we have sinned) so that you wouldn't have to die and suffer.
