  • At 12:00:36, the Town of Piedmont conducted a weekly test of their Outdoor Warning System and consisted of a 3 minute alert.
Well, this was great. I wanted to come to this again because it was back in service. When I got here, I had to be careful where I set up because of the insanely strong winds. Right after the siren wound up, a 50MPH wind gust knocked over my recording setup. When I saw it falling, I said, "Oh shit," and immediately picked up my Note10 while I was fixing my main shot. There was a hook on my tripods so I could put some weight in case of this problem, but my dumbass didn't take advantage of that...
Also, I find it insane that this beast is almost 90 years old and it is still working properly.

Nice! We recently converted all Piedmont sirens over to encrypted Federal FSK protocol.

@@OMNIWARN Yeah I'm aware. That's why the siren didn't go off when I tried a couple of weeks ago.

@@jonathanharrell7703 Thanks! You can kinda tell that there is something in the chopper. It's not the audio, it was like that in person too. The wind was hella strong too so that affected the sound a little. If I was NE of it, it would be nice, but the exposure would be ass.
