one i am sure is a t128. another one sounds like a thunderbolt on a VERY low setting and there are 2 confirmed whelens from the comments around as well.
it's wierd now adays huh? the thunderbolt 1000s and other sirens sound the wailing attack signal for the tornados in some cities when they SHOULD be alert. but now that attack doesn't mean what it used to the steady tone is no longer all clear and is becoming less of an alert signal as well.
dude the lower pitched siren is the thunderbolt. the T128 sounds like a thunderbolt too but it doesn't have the sharp edge a thunderbolt does and it starts to WAH on the windown and a thunderbolt wont do that. (the thunderbolts sound will diapear after 5 seconds as well.) the lower pitched siren however did not do what i said the T128 did.
I can hear an ACA Banshee coming from Del City, a FS Modulator 5020 coming from Tinker Air Force Base, and OKC's Whelens. Listen carefully, I think I can hear an Eclipse 8 coming from Del City.
People just driving around calmly in a tornado warning always worry me. And in Oklahoma City that could be suicide! The past three years should have taught those of us in the midwest and south not to take tornado warnings lightly. Unless I have live doppler radar in my vehicle (which I don't), or know the exact location the storm is heading (via radio or phone), I stop at a public building and go inside to find out what's going on.
Actually the steady tone or alert would be the all clear signal for thunderbolts because thunderbolts were first used for the cold war and the steady tone was to signal the all clear.
I Live In Canada We Get Tornadoes In Southern Ontario Im From Northern Ontario In Canada I Feel Bad When Thares Tornadoes In America USA British Columbia In Canada Gets Earthquakes Cause Thare On The Fault Line From California Its Pretty Scary!
HyperFoxTails whelens, and by the way, this tone doesn't mean all clear in the US. It typically means weather warning. Now, some places use attack for weather warnings, but most of the US use the steady tone for weather.
only thing i hear are whelen vortex sirens i know thats what they are because i have a whelen vortex r4 siren a few blocks away from my house i hear a high piched whelen and a low pitch whelen
I don't know how you guys live here. Aren't you constantly worrying about you, or your friends and family, getting caught in a tornado? I can also never understand why there are not more brick houses instead of wood.
I don't why people wanna live there move there or keep rebuilding? i ask that with all do respect just doesn't make sense to me other then its ur home..
Is this near Tinker air force base? I can hear Federal Signal Modulators and Midwest City's Whelen Vortexs along with OKC's Whelens.
Wow. You are the last person I would've expected to upload this. I like planes too.

Tigers9596
excellent video! lots of great lightening! were you in a hotel?
One of the scariest sounds in my opinion. If I were visiting that area of the US and heard this siren, I'd probably need a new pair of pants.

The sirens and rains sound is more cooler than the lightning
Those sirens are terrifying
That streak of lightning at 0:00 was big
Where in the city were you at?
The lightning looks really cool!!!!!!!!
I love that sound!
How close was the twister? Hard to tell if that darkness was it.
alert signal sounds soooo much better then attack wailing. it's not a "ahh someone is attaking" its "oh tornado..."
Haha, i totally thought it was at first and then I saw the date and looked again. :)
is that a motel there

Probably a smart move. Always good to be prepared!
Get something like MyRadar too. You can look at a warning and see if it has a confirmed tornado or not too (or other severe weather)
is that thunder becuz that is so awsome lol
Actually the steady tone or alert would be the all clear signal for thunderbolts because thunderbolts were first used for the cold war and the steady tone was to signal the all clear.
Thunder crashing adds to the eeriness

Only a problem now, bc it's been so long. Truly scary stuff tho
Dude, that's an RX8. This was shot in early 2011... BRZ/FR-S/GT86 wasn't out yet. I would know, I work for Subaru. It does look similar though.
Do I hear a thunderbolt at 1:42 of the video?
doesnt matter what it was used for in the cold war, some places use attack for all clear some places use it for warning and etc etc
I could see cars were speeding up! They must have been terrified.
