Picked a 92 yz80. Split the cases, New Rod, 48.5 weisco, boysen reeds, full dg exhaust. I know it smokes lol. First tank of break in mix. Runs strong for and old girl.
And by the way that bike sound sure as hell good that's exactly how I want my bike to sound it's just like my bike almost how you just started it my bike's just like that you just kick the thing no gas it'll start right up and sit there and idle like that
Most if the parts were stock. I got pipe and silencer on eBay. Rebuilt engine myself with Weisco forged piston. Grips cables and bars were all new. Still have a parts bottom end. Cylinder and head.

Hey i have a 85 yz80 n i need a new bottom end was wondering any good places to order from or would it be cheaper to just rebuild the bottom end because I'll need flywheel n everything for that side

The powerband on this bike from what I remember was amazing!

Nice pipe a little thicker steel that stock. Strong bottom and hits very hard on top. I have the silencer too that may help a bit.

How do you like the DG pipe? I'm getting a '91 YZ 80 and it has a DG pipe. Just wanting to others opinions. :)
DC plastics sells a plastic kit. I made the backgrounds. Dealer had a red generic yamaha kit. Have fun

i am buying same year yz 80 with DG silencer sounds nice ill upload a vid response once i buy it if youd like.
Ebay had the proper graphics if you wanted them. I have a extra cyl and bottom end if ya need any bits.

@moorehuntin lol do you mix the gas any differently and these bikes are fast for a 80
