Hahaha! A big demand for our family! We raise show goats but get to keep the delicious milk, very high in butterfat, for the family. We make all kinds of cheeses, ice cream, and of course soap!

This is awesome! I, along with two other 60 something buddies, had the privilege to visit and watch the operation of a robotic dairy farm in Willowcreek, Oregon just last week (early June 2020). Thanks for this and the other great videos. I work in Germany on our family farm and just heard about your TH-cam channel. We farmers all over the world should now do everything we can to provide people with high-quality food in times of crisis, as we do otherwise. You make it tangible for people with your videos. This is great and I am grateful to you and hope that when the corona crisis is over and trade fairs are taking place in Germany and the USA again we can see each other at an event. For example the Wold Dairy Expo or the Eurotier

Another excellent video. We got to keep educating the world about livestock. Especially where their food comes from. Here we are in another crisis the media spin out of control. I went to our local butcher shop and people were stockpiling food because they think the world's coming to an end I guess. As always enjoy your videos keep up the great work

Great video editing. Great song choice. Poignant topic during these tough times for dairy farmers. We really need to change our economic model so farmers are not dependent on corporate purchasers. We need to allow farm cooperatives to absorb excess production and sell to local markets without corporate interference. For example, all the milk spilled during this pandemic could have been stored and given out to local customers via sanitized self-serve stations using recycled containers. America needs to stop depending on corporations and start running their own show by collective cooperation like the good old days.

Awesome guys and gals!!! Thank you for showing people all the work and LOVE that goes into your dairy products. Family farms are so much better than the big factory farms where people are hired on at an hourly wage and have no investment in the animals or the farm. I've seen farmers out in the field with a sick cow in below freezing weather, tending her, covering her up, force feeding gruel, the whole bit. As an American, I LOVE OUR FAMILY FARMERS!!!!

I'm sad to see those little calves all alone in the cold out there. That's not right. I like to drink milk as well but there definitely has to be another way to tend to the cattle and let them live in a way that is natural for them.

Hey, guys ! I like sev. of your songs and appreciate nearly all farmers incl. u guys. I DO have to disagree a bit, and to help bridge some of gap am going to share publicly tho I don't mean to accuse u guys of anything or ... anything negative. I not only dairy farmed w my folks til I was 35, I was the main adult-ish in the barns etc. during field work season for a lot of my teens n 20s. And tho I didn't "get out" a ton, I did know, was on other farms. Sorry but no, the reason we and prob. the vast majority of farmers (until protocol about Johnny's was a thing & common & followed) separate calves from cows has basically nothing to do with most of the things u listed. And cows, (unlike pigs maybe ?) rarely if ever step on their calf. And I still bet the majority of times it's happened was due to a too-confined space & to an extent, ditto then with them pooping on their heads although that does happen in general. On that, the vast majority of illnessee, things like a navel infection, seemed to happen when a calf was born on dirt/too thin of sod, vrs. a manurey situation like falling into the gutter during birth. Calves getting seperated began and til fairly recently was due to production, modern/industrial/chemical ( vrs. biological) farming/ag(/everything) methods. Of which there is tons of very good, reliable and imo actually proven reasons to take a lot of issue with, both "scientifically" and morally as Christians. BUT besides all that, I care about truth and it hurts both your own " side" and also that of the ignorant, indoctrination repeating ppl on the side opposite. I don't support their ignorance, ( much less when it's arrogance), misinfor, misapplication or lack of understanding or respecting what God allows ( such as eating animals) or etc., either. But I do care about them and those they influence and we can't help them if we dig in and don't pray humbly for any needed correction or addlt. knowledge or understanding on our own parts. Myself incl. and I seek to still be open enough, and def. prayerful, while yet not being malleable in a "blown about by every wind of doctrine" type way. As a Christian and former farmer myself who knows that cows - tho they have hormones and thus " emotions" , they really don't "miss" anyone the same way humans do ( consciously) and the animal attachment is soon over if only barely formed, or isn't there at all if not at all & sometimes even if ( esp. in 1st calf heifers & just some individuals). That while not ideal, it's also not abuse ti seperate a calf from it's mother. Although again, not ideal health wise for them or us, ultimately, besides maybe in other ways. They are def. live creatures we should treat well of course, but also as a creation of God we shouldn't take lighly removing them from how HE created it to live on the earth... . Then blame God ( even in a faith way, as in " oh well, God allowed this trial ... this world is not our home " when we, our cattle and society acrues the consequences of all the things, esp. collectively. As to evidence of your way of farming ( & by that I include a lot of what I myself, besides my family, used to do) being not innocent of all of those allegations (or the kernal of truth in them or etc. etc., at least) plz visit the following farmer's channels or books. These are ppl who used to be conventional too, or who at least come from part of the same background ( such as conservative Christian, long b4 any were on the "hippy stuff" bandwagon) : Joel Salatin ; Greg Judy ; Richard Perkins ; Mark Shepard; Jesse Frost; Elaine Ingram isn't a farmer that I know of but needs mentioning. Lots more out there. There are dairy farms who leave the calf w the mother's half the day ( overnight, or 6 or 8 hrs or etc. ). They make it work. I would prioritize basically everything else, 1st, as far as health ( all, soil too) and morally, but it can be done as well. That's my own 2 cents.
