Love love love this. Saw it when it first was recorded a decade ago. Just watched Jocelyn’s amazing performance of this with Amsterdam orchestra. This is special for so many reasons. David gets into this as much as anything else he does. He is so hot as he absorbs this. It’s tough not to imagine David using those incredible skills for other fun stuff.
I remember when u 1st did this video. I come back from time to time to groove off of it. There are plenty of bands covering it. People playin along like u did, all kinds of versions. But NOT ONE bass player digs in & play it, FEEL IT, understand the assignment, ad lib it like u did. Even after all these yrs.. 💪🏾

I have this 10-year-theory. Anything you do for 10 years, you will be definetly be a master after that time. For example programming, cooking, sports etc. This is the same with learning an instrument. Its just practise. Nothing more. If you are 40 and wanna start or 50, you still have the rest of your live to learn and play the instrument. The exception is song-writing. this has more to do with talent. But even this can be learned :)
