This Fugue appeals to me a lot the notes make me think of birdsong🐦⬛in a summer meadow🌸Such a beautiful organ sound wonderfully played Philip 😊thank you
What a joy to listen to Philip - I once had a most eccentric music loving friend who called his canary Buxtehude and your registration of the right hand stops sounds just like a canary - perhaps this piece was his inspiration. Great playing dear friend.
It was that Speelfluit which convinced me to buy the Noordbroek sample set when it was released. A perfect choice for this lovely fugue, deftly played.
That Speelfluit is just a bit more round and soft than the flute from the rückpositif. It is not often that I find one here on TH-cam which talks fondly of Noordbroek. I really appreciated the sample set for my Baroque recordings which don't have to have "grandness" in the sound.
This is the first time I've heard this composer, and it's amazing! I love Gigue-style fugues so this is awesome 😊 Thank you 😌 (google translation) 初めて聞いた作曲者でしたが、これは素晴らしい! ジーグ風のフーガは大好きなので最高です😊 ありがとうございます😌
I'm a purist myself and think this only be played on a continuum organ. However, the organists choice beautiful flutes here give his performance that something special and is nicely played. The slight echo too added something the performance
Oh that's lovely to hear. I could also have chosen just a flute 8. That would have been even more close to an actual continuum. But the 4 foot just brings a bit clarity especially in the lower section of the movement. Very happy that I convinced you :)
Beautiful! I think I need to buy this sampleset as I seem to get more enjoyment from smaller, character-filled instruments. I'm still looking for the perfect baroque set.
I can wholeheartedly recommend the Noordbroek sample set. I use it when I need a fully baroque sample set. While it's not the largest organ you can buy I really like it because it sounds so realistic!!
Couldn't hear the pedal part at the end. 😮 Nicely executed, but I would suggest experimenting with the registration a little bit. You've got two extra manuals there!
Oh I understand. It is because I chose a specific registration with only a flute 8' as I recall. I wanted to mimic the sound of it being played on an organ with no pedal. But of course that is a artistic choice to be made.
Hi Philip. You smashed it yet again. An extremely beautiful piece of music. Your choice of registration made excellence perfection. Thank you.
YAAY! That's wonderful to hear. I tried my best and glad it came out to your liking.
I love it! Thanks for sharing agin, Philip.
Dear Rudi. Oh, that's wonderful to hear. So glad you liked it. I find it so refreshing and sweet a piece by Buxtehude.
Kind regards
Philip
@@philipaggesen totally agree!

A wonderful description. Flutes on the organ is the closest we get to actual bird song, so it makes perfect sense!
Super Organ Music !!! ❤️🤗👍
Thanks Irina!! Merry Christmas to you!
thank you
You're very welcome!

As always Michael. I am so glad to read your always encouraging words. They are truly appreciated as always. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!! 🙏
Some of my favorite pieces of Buxtehude I would call 'delicate.' So lovely, and this interpretation was indeed 'delicate.' 🙂 Beautifully done!
Hi Cal. Oh what wonderful comment to read. Thanks a ton Cal!! :-)

This is my favorite Buxtehude piece.
It sure is one of the very best!
This is really charming...Makes me think of Birdsong in a magical winter forest.

The black and white keys are reversed.
