    Thanks so much. Just got a light bar from my kids for Christmas and bought this switch kit on eBay. We have the same interior and I agree with you on the other videos… Up grade your head lights with Silver stars, aim them well, and you will be very happy with the outcome. I rarely have to use my high beams. I did my fogs too and they are really bright too. Thanks again for the BEST video out there for putting these switches in.

      That’s great to hear man! Really appreciate the kind words! I tried to do my best to make it as straight forward as possible. If you need help wiring the lightbar to the switches, I do have a video that I uploaded recently on that as well. It’s a very straight forward process, but the jumper wires that go through the firewall can be tricky to locate if you don’t know where to look. Happy New Year, and good luck with the install!

      @@akgearhead thanks again for the connector location under the dash, I thought I got the wrong harness and I had the wrong connector under the dash I was trying to connect to. Hello and thank you for your. I am new at this so I need advice. I just purchased nilight. LED strips for the inside of my bed of my 2015 Ford F250 how do I connect the red lead with the in-line fuse? Where does that go?

    • @akgearhead
      @akgearhead  7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Your power wire for the light strips will just need to be connected to one of the wires from the upfitter switches. You can either connect it in the engine bay, and then splice the pass through wire to the switch, or run it into the cab and go directly to the wire from the switch. You do not need whatever fuse your light kit came with, as the upfitter switches are already a fused power source. If you watch my video on installing the light bar on my truck, it explains this in more detail.

      @akgearhead  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I actually just installed the light bar today. Not sure how the F150’s are, but it’s a very straight forward and simple process on the superduties. I would imagine it’s probably the same concept for the f150s. I wasn’t aware they even came with them! I should have the video uploaded here in the next few days!

  • @Lapeerphoto

    I wish they made this for my 2023 F250. 4 switches is just right, I don't want that 6 gang thing. I might order this and modify it.
    Is it still working for you, a year or so later?

    • @akgearhead
      @akgearhead  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah the 2017+ trucks kinda suck for adding upfitter switches on trucks that didn’t come with them. The ones I installed in this video are still working perfectly. No issues whatsoever.

    • @Lapeerphoto
      @Lapeerphoto ปีที่แล้ว

      @@akgearhead the 2023 up fitters are in the overhead console. And to use Ford's kit, I'd have to replace the entire overhead panel. But I pulled the panel and there is some room for switches. But not the 6pack. I think I'll order these and mod my panel to fit them. Even if I have to Dremel the left side cornes to match the right. That's a spring project. But I book marked this video and the switches. I'm an EE, so the wiring part is no problem, it's the hard fit is the only challenge. Even if I need to lengthen the wires. 2023 passthrough wires are on the passenger side.

    • @akgearhead
      @akgearhead  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Lapeerphotoyeah that sounds like the same issue my brother had with his alumiduty. His had the sunroof and a bunch of other buttons in that overhead console, so it was more trouble and more expensive to him than it was worth. Best of luck with your efforts installing these!
