- I love the 2011 body style but the interior is lacking a bit compared to the new 2022-2023 trucks so I took it upon myself to upgrade it and modernize it myself. I hope you guys like this video! If so make sure to subscribe because there will definitely be more to come!!

Can you do a follow-up video to let us know your experience after the past year? What things work well what things do not, etc.? There's not much content on these videos out there and that would be very helpful to make a decision to change to this.

Been looking at these for a few months. The one thing I not sold with one of these is the hvac will not come on with remote start.
Yea I was not aware of that when I bought it but I don’t use remote start that much anyways and when I do it warms the engine so the heater heats up pretty quick anyways
The ac in the summer time is the bummer and not so much the heat in the winter. Not taking away from your install which looks badass, and I want one for my 12 SD. I had also thought about doing a iPad mini mod but there are pros and cons to that too.
@@bradstroke yea that’s true but for me it doesn’t bother me too much because the ac catches up quick and I like my windows down so most of the time I’m riding no ac anyways😂 thanks! Yea iPads are cool but I think would have similar pros and cons

Most people hate their infotainment systems. Including me. They are considering passing laws against them now.

@@metroplexchl Distractive driving, It's no different than a cell phone. With tactile buttons you don't have to take your eyes off the road to navigate. With touch screens, everything is buried deep in menus and you end up staring at a screen to navigate instead of driving. Even the Manufacturers are reconsidering.
Pretty bold to claim “most people” hate their infotainment systems, especially with so many paying to upgrade their vehicle with it.
Your points about it being dangerous are valid but the other claims are not accurate at all. There will not be laws against it and manufacturers are not looking at other options. Tech doesn’t move backwards, only forwards with better upgrades
@@Chris-lo4zu Not bold at all, just takes a little research and experience. Bad ergonomics is not an advancement in the tech of an automobile. It's a step backwards. Tech comes in many forms, not just computers like Apple and Google from Silicon Valley..

what did you do to get your back up camera to work everything is working on mine except my factory back up camera

Is anything else needed for this to retain the factory steering wheel controls?
Correct all plug and play it’s super easy and you can program the steering wheel buttons in the setting if they’re not right or you want to change them but mine worked perfect 👍
