That would make a fantastic birthday gift being i was born in 75 & my 48th birthday is in a couple of weeks March 30 1975 👏👏👏 having a car the same age as me lol and Lincolns being my most favorite car of all time. I've had 2 of them but not that year. I love it 👏👏👏
Great video. I have a 1974 Mark VI also with a 460 big block. There's tons of aftermarket, very easy to get parts for that motor. Even Edelbrock, holly performance has tons of parts available for it. I put dual exhaust on mine. It sounds great
Thanks for sharing! These Lincolns are a great car and you are right about the aftermarket support for the 460. Sky's the limit when it comes to these engines.
There are aftermarket parts for the 400 V8 that came in the 1979 Lincoln but I don't think it quite has the aftermarket support that the 460 does. With just a quick search, Summit Racing appears to have some Edelbrock intakes and heads for it.
@@rocksolidmotorsports hey man one more question could I install these parts myself or should I go to a mechanic because I don’t have much experience working with engines
It was a 1975. In 1975, you could only get the vent window on the Town Coupe or the Town Car. The vent window was not available on the Mark IV Lincoln in 1975. Below is a link for reference. autocatalogarchive.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/Lincoln-Continental-1975-CA.pdf
I drove one in Florida in 1979 ! Great souvenirs.

I had 1978 town coupe with a 460 and dual exhaust! It would lope along at 100 mph! 🥰

@@rocksolidmotorsports Are there any aftermarket parts for the ford 400 v8 on the 1979 model

@@rocksolidmotorsports Aw man I was hoping to get the full potential out of the engine despite it being strangled by emissions regulations

The turbine style rims from a 1977-79 Mark V look great on the Mark IV!
My uncle has a white one with red interior too. It’s the lipstick edition.
Its 149,000 miles boys. The tell-tale signs are there. However, it is very well kept for that many miles.
Sorry, it's been repainted! 🥺
I'd drive it!
Es Hermoso .
it must have been a 1976 model, instead of a '75 one (just 2 power windows without vent section, not 4 with vent section)

I can nearly smell the exhaust through the screen haha
I'd pay FULL MSRP to own that car. Fuel rose to $4.25 where I live. This @ 6mpg city / 11mpg hwy could get expensive as a daily for a poorboy like me.
