When I found this video so long ago, i had never known what amazing BattleTech and Mechwarrior vehicles I would learn and fall in love with over the mechs.
Honestly not sure the Medlas is even worth it. Since it's effectively 4 tons, not 1 when on a vehicle already using its default 10 heatsinks. more SRM tubes might be better. You could add another 6 tubes and another ton of ammo for that. Or a 4 and more armor if it's not already at max.
@@DIEGhostfish It was a correction for the animator as the video states the tank only has 10 Heatsinks when it in fact has 13. But I agree, going over the HS amount for a vehicle that isn't designed to be ammo independent is quite inefficient, personally though increasing the armor would be more beneficial than adding a forward firing SRM6.
Coyotes Mission mod for MW5 has these guys as your primary targets in convoy-interception. Lets just say its not a good idea to use speedy light-mechs, or medium mechs, to catch up to the convoy, only to be greeted by a barrage of PPC and missiles. Scary as fuck tanks to fight when in large numbers.
A little over 3 years later and now you are sitting just above 5,000 subscribers! Congratulations Ian, your success is well earned. You put out fantastic content that never fails to impress. Keep going, I can't wait to see what you create next!
Thanks for all the effort you put into your videos, mechlab and animated shorts alike. Looking forward to that newsreel animation. =) Also, if you don't mind suggestions on future mechlab videos, since you're doing combat vehicles now, why not do one on the Bulldog? It's a cool little tank and has some interesting variants that adapt it to completely different roles by simply swapping out the turret.
I'm always glad to see a new video from you pop up on my notifications. They're entertaining and it's nice to see a different take on the various units of Battletech through your models. Question though; what do you usually use to create, texture and animate them? And suggestion; why not delve a bit deeper into the history, variants and usage of the units you feature? I sometimes feel something more could be said. Keep making them though and best wishes with your health! :)
Looks good . I hated that tank . Of course my twin loved them and since he ran the MechWarrior games I frequently saw battalions of these little @#$%^&* .

13 Heatsinks, 10 for the PPC, and 3 for the Medium Laser, cause tankers can't be trusted to NOT alpha strike and thus avoid roasting themselves alive.
Moreso because Myomer's great at absorbing excess heat and safely re-radiating it back through the heatsinks. So nonmechs get really hurt by overheat.

@@KageRyuu6 Yeah armor if it's not armor capped, then SRM 2 if there's anything left over.
