My personal favorite loadout for these is to replace the medium laser with 1 ton of SRM ammo. Some 'mechs boast the ability to shoot 12 or 16 or 20 of those missiles at a time; this baby can detonate all hundred of 'em, right in the target's face, simultaneously!

I don't know, a medium laser might be overkill unless your deputies enjoy handcuffing a charred skeletons after they scrape him out of the molten slag that used to be a car...
I have a VTOL design that's based off of the Warrior H7. Level 1 tech, Fusion engine, PPC, backs up as fast as a Locust can move forward on level terrain. Wins every time. About a million C-bills. Yes, the good old Savanah Master was part of the inspiration for the design. High speed, light armor, decent punch.
“An ambitious buyer could in fact purchase an entire swarm of around 100 Savannah Masters for the same amount.” Remind me again why we use Battlemechs?
IRL using current technology we could design a main battle tank based on ultra large dumptrucks with triple 14inch battleship canons for its main guns and a 150 tons of armor. The rules are literally setup so mechs are the best by default dont think about it too hard. Oh and the funniest part is from my groups calculations the shells wouldn't have to pen through the mech armor. The kinetic dump of several tons of lead moving that fast would so violently arrest the pilot it would kill them instantly.
@@melvinlemay7366 Savannah masters are the size of a Jeep and only weigh five tons. After you occupy all the floor space you could strap the rest to the walls and ceilings.

Have convential & near future physical tracking countermeasures, and natural evolutions of those, been completely defeated in Battletech? Things like chaff, flares, smoke (with some kind of aerosolized IR/radar/etc reflecting or scattering material[s]). Even active lasers that guide incoming missiles off target. I know that seismic sensors are a thing (somehow).
Seismics are mostly a gameplay thing from MWO; though remote sensor buoys and probes are certainly a thing. As for countermeasures... it's a complicated point. For the most part; they don't exist, reduced simply to relying on destroying the missiles with AMS systems - anti-missile machine guns or rapid-spray laser systems. You do see smoke munitions on occasion as a broad-spectrum anti-sensor tool; but that's an ammunition option rather than a dedicated countermeasure.
If this is the vehicle that's faced in the dozens in MW5:M then their PGI didn't do their research correctly and just cobbled together variants of a hovercraft like vehicle that can sport a wide range of weaponry from lasers, flamethrowers, machine guns, LRM and SRM systems as well as harasser platformers that seem to fit the bill of the Savannah which usually sport an exclusive weapon system.
I'd imagine Battletech taking a page out of 40K's play book and forcing hundreds of condemned prisoners to swarm mechs with these while the real battle-force is taking objectives.
Demolishing an entire Atlas with a Savannah Master swarm is the equivalent of de-existing Khorne with a comically large spoon.

Draconis Combine kamikazes
The only thing holding the savannah master from godhood is it's inability to swarm out of the trees, that would make it scarier.
For that you need Ferrets

This thing screams out for an enhanced scanning and communication package. The speed of the Savannah Master would make it an amazing scout.
They will tear your rear armor to shreds in short order. Their speed is no joke. Learned that the hard way when I went up against them in a Stalker.
